Description

The invention relates to a device for collecting shredded material, in particular shredded banknotes, according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Shredder devices are known in the prior art in which banknotes or other documents are cut up into a number of smallest strips or sections by cutting or tearing them beyond recognition.

Derartige Shreddereinrichtungen (vergl. Such shredder devices (cf. EP 0 184 786 A1) generally have a cabinet-shaped housing in which a cutting mechanism driven by an electric motor is arranged. The housing also has a receptacle for the shredded material, which is slidably arranged in the lower region of the housing under the disposal shaft of the cutting unit and is under vacuum. For the collection and removal of the shredded material, a paper bag is arranged in the collecting container, which is permeable to air and has a holder at its opening, which can be fixed to a receptacle arranged in the region of the discharge opening of the shredder device. For recycling, these paper bags along with the ones they contain Shredded goods delivered directly to the paper mill. As a result, the paper bags and their holders may only consist of materials that do not interfere with the paper mill.

Accordingly, the holder of the paper bags must not contain any materials that cannot be processed into paper. On the other hand, high demands are placed on the holder with regard to the mechanical strength, a large-area connection to the paper bag and easy handling. In addition, the paper bags must be secured against filling during the filling process. The receptacle and the holder must also be designed so that a level measurement remains possible without being disturbed by the ongoing filling process.

It is an object of the invention to further develop the device of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that it optimally meets the above requirements.

To achieve this object, the invention proposes, starting from a device of the type mentioned, that the holder is designed as a flat cardboard that is tightly glued or sewn to the bag and that can be inserted with its side edges into guides provided on the underside of the receptacle, whereby Both the holder and the receptacle below the disposal shaft of the shredder device are provided with corresponding through openings for the shredded material and additionally with congruent openings for a full height sensor.

Because the holder is designed as a flat cardboard, there are large and sufficiently durable connection surfaces with the paper bag. The cardboard is also sufficiently stable for handling and setting the empty and filled paper bags. The fact that separate openings for the shredded material on the one hand and additional openings for a filling level sensor on the other hand are provided both in the cardboard and in the receptacle, a filling level measurement largely undisturbed by the filling process is possible, so that the filling of the paper bags can be stopped in good time.

A particularly preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the passage opening of the holder is closable. This makes it possible to seal the filled bag tightly after removal from the shredder device, so that the filled bag can optionally be compressed without further work steps and sealing material without the risk of the shredded material coming out of the bag.

For example, a simple locking slide can be provided to close the holder. This closure slide is designed so that it can be moved along the longitudinal edge of the passage opening of the holder on suitable guiding and holding means until the passage opening is closed.

Alternatively, the holder in the region of its passage opening can also be provided with closure flaps which are fastened to the edge of the passage opening of the holder by means of flexible bending joints. This makes it possible to produce the holder as a whole from a flat structure, for example from a cardboard disc, which is cut and folded in the area of the passage opening in such a way that the surface areas which are to be seen on the passage opening simultaneously form the closure flaps.

The bag and the holder are expediently made exclusively of paper and cardboard. On the one hand, this enables particularly inexpensive production. The bag with holder thus produced is environmentally friendly and can be disposed of with the shredded material or, if necessary, sent for reprocessing.

As can be seen from Fig. 1, the shredder device is arranged in a housing 1, which under contains a drive unit, not shown, and a cutting unit for the banknotes to be shredded. A box-shaped collecting container 2 can be inserted into the housing 1, the front of which optically closes off the front of the housing. The housing 1 is also provided with a suction fan, also not shown, which generates a negative pressure in the region of the collecting container, by means of which the discharge of the shredded material from the cutting mechanism is supported.

A bag 3 for the shredded material is inserted into the collecting container 2 and is provided with a holder 4 on its upper side. The bag advantageously consists of air-permeable paper. The holder 4 consists of a rectangular, flat structure, which preferably consists of cardboard and is connected to the bag 3 in a suitable manner, for example by gluing, sewing or folding. The holder 4 can in turn be fixed to a receptacle 5 which is located in the region of the discharge opening 6 of a disposal shaft 7 in the interior of the housing 1 (FIG. 3).

The receptacle 4 and the holder 5 are provided with through openings 4.1 and 5.1, which correspond to the discharge opening 6 of the disposal shaft 7 in terms of position and dimension. Furthermore, the holder 4 and the receptacle 5 are provided with corresponding congruent openings 4.2 and 5.2, through which the respective current fill level of the bag 3 can be measured using a preferably non-contact level sensor.

The receptacle 5 is designed as a sheet metal part, which can be fixed to corresponding fastening edges 1.1 of the housing 1 by means of bending tabs 5.3 arranged on the upper edges. These bending tabs 5.1 make it possible to attach the receptacle 5 to existing shredder devices if necessary.

In den Fig. 3a bis 3c sind verschiedene Möglichkeiten der Festlegung der Halterung 4 an der Aufnahme 5 dargestellt.3a to 3c different possibilities of fixing the bracket 4 to the receptacle 5 are shown.

According to FIG. 3a, the holder 4 can be inserted into guides 5.4 of the receptacle 5 which are U-shaped. The insertion path is dimensioned such that in the fastening position the discharge opening 6 of the disposal shaft 7 corresponds to the through openings 5.1 and 4.1 in the receptacle 5 and the holder 4, i. H. lie in line.

In the variant shown in FIG. 3b, for better sealing between the holder 5 and the receptacle 4, a seal 8 which completely or partially surrounds the passage openings is provided, which consists, for example, of a foam strip. This seal 8 prevents shredded material or paper dust from escaping through the gap between the receptacle 5 and the holder 4.

Auch hierdurch wird eine gute Abdichtung zwischen der Halterung 4 und der Aufnahme 5 erzielt.3c, a vertically displaceable frame 9 is provided for the same purpose, which surrounds the passage openings and can be pressed against the edge of the holder 4 and the receptacle 5 from below by means of adjusting means (not shown). This also ensures a good seal between the holder 4 and the receptacle 5.

In den Fig. 4 und 4a ist die Halterung 5 vor der Montage an der Shreddereinrichtung dargestellt, d. h. die zur Befestigung der Aufnahme 5 dienenden Biegelaschen 5.3 sind noch nicht umgebogen.4 and 4a, the holder 5 is shown before assembly on the shredder device, i. H. the bending tabs 5.3 used to fasten the receptacle 5 have not yet been bent.

The passage opening 4.1 can be covered with the aid of a strip-shaped closure slide 10. For this purpose, the longitudinal edges of the passage opening 4.1 and the longitudinal edges of the slide 10 are provided with corresponding guides 10.1.

Another possibility for closing the opening 4.1 in the holder 4 is shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. There, according to the size and the position of the passage opening 4.1, cuts are made along the lines a and b. In contrast, along the lines c, only line embossing is provided, by means of which bending joints are formed. The opening 4.1 can be opened or closed by bending the resulting closure flaps d and e in the direction of the interior of the bag.
