Definitions

  • the invention relates to a drain fitting for sanitary appliances such as sinks, vanities or bathtubs, with a drain cup held in a drain hole and with a fixed disc inserted into the drain hole, wherein in the drain cup a plunger consisting of a guide element and a plunger head as a closure member for the drain hole is arranged such that the plunger head can be moved between a closed position and an open position below the fixed disk.
  • a drain set of the aforementioned type is known from FR-A-1 543 952; this drain fitting has a drain goblet which, with an encircling, horizontally protruding edge which is inserted into an adapted gradation in the wall of the drain hole of the sanitary apparatus, forms a support for a disc lying thereon and completely filling the opening of the drain hole.
  • This disc is designed to be continuously perforated for the production of a drain for the water and therefore serves to retain foreign bodies, in particular waste, from the draining water.
  • a conventional plunger with a plunger head which interacts with the drain cup as a closure member, is arranged below the disk in a movable manner between an open position and a closed position.
  • the disadvantage of the known drain fitting is that the fixed perforated disc allows a view of the plunger which is movable below the disc, so that the optical design of this drain fitting does not meet the usual requirements, particularly in the bathroom area.
  • Another waste set with a fixed disc is known from AT-B-375 988; here the actual waste set with plunger is arranged outside the sanitary apparatus; in the drain hole of the sanitary apparatus, a drain sleeve with an upper edge area is inserted, into which a fixed disk is inserted to form an annular gap for the water flowing off; however, this fixed disk does not cover the drain sleeve, so that there is also a visual disadvantage here.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object to improve the overall visual impression in a generic waste set using a conventional plunger; the drain set should be inexpensive to manufacture.
  • the basic idea of the invention provides that the upper edge region of the drain cup forms a sealing collar for the plunger head in its closed position and this upper edge region with its seat surface is inserted deep into the wall of the sanitary apparatus to form a space for the longitudinal movement of the plunger head and that the fixed disc from one Ceramic part with a color matching the colored ceramic material of the sanitary apparatus and has a diameter which is smaller than the diameter of the drain hole and at least as large as the largest diameter of the upper edge region of the drain cup, so that between the edge of the drain hole and the fixed disc remaining annular gap corresponds to the flow specifications of known drain fittings.
  • a drain fitting is also known in which the plunger head already has a diameter which is at least as large as the largest diameter of the upper edge region of the drain goblet, but this has the disadvantage that the plunger head itself in its The color and shape must be completely matched to the associated sanitary apparatus, so that drain fittings to be associated with different sanitary apparatuses must each have a differently manufactured plunger head. This means that conventional plungers cannot be used without special adaptation to the appearance of the sanitary apparatus.
  • the invention is essentially associated with the advantage that the plunger head, which is hidden by the disk fixed in the drain hole, can be made of any material and in a simple design, since it is not visible at any time.
  • the fixed disc is easy to manufacture in terms of material, shape and color, specifically to adapt to the sanitary apparatus, with either the standardized waste set to adapt it to the respective sanitary apparatus simply a disc to be inserted into the drain hole of the sanitary apparatus after Invention is to be attached. Since the diameter of the disc is at least as large as the largest diameter of the upper edge area of the drain cup of the drain fitting, not only the plunger head, but also the upper edge area of the drain cup serving as a seat is completely covered.
  • an exemplary embodiment of the invention provides for the disc to be inserted into the drain hole with the feet arranged on its outer circumference, the feet being supported on the narrowing wall of the drain hole in the sanitary apparatus. It is particularly advantageous here if the inwardly shifted feet are supported on the upper edge of the goblet, at which point there is the possibility of the material transfer between the drain fitting and the sanitary apparatus for attaching appropriate form-fitting designs.
  • Such a design has the advantage that the feet are also arranged under the pane and are therefore not visible.
  • Another possibility of securing the disk against displacement is to arrange a guide rod on its underside, which in turn engages in a channel arranged in the plunger; here a game is provided that on the one hand the plunger head is displaceable with respect to the disk during its opening and closing movement, but that on the other hand there is a security against slipping of the disk in the drain hole.
  • This measure can either be used alone to secure the disk, or else in combination with an additional support by means of feet and / or projections to be provided accordingly.
  • the surface of the pane should line up adapt the apparatus in the area of the drain hole, various shapes, such as a concave surface of the disk, or a configuration with parallel planes, being useful for this purpose.
  • a drain hole 11 is formed, in which a drain cup 12 with a seat surface 13 is inserted in a watertight manner.
  • the inside upper edge region 14 of the drain cup 12 tapers and forms a sealing collar 14 'for a plunger head 15 of a plunger 16 which is arranged to be longitudinally movable via guide elements 17 in the drain cup 12 and is connected to a plunger rod 18 via which the longitudinal movement of the guide elements 17 between the open position of the plunger head 15 and its closed position is brought about with the aid of a pull rod 22.
  • a provided on the underside of the plunger head 15 ring seal 19 ensures in the closed position of the plunger head 15 for a sealing seat of the plunger head on the sealing collar 14 'of the drain bowl 12th
  • a fixed disc 25 is arranged, which is inserted into the drain hole 11 by means of three feet 26 arranged on its outer circumference so that the feet 26 stand on the upper edge 14 'of the drain cup 12.
  • the diameter of the disc 25 is chosen relative to the diameter of the drain hole 11 so that there is a constantly open annular gap 20 through which the water can flow out of the sanitary apparatus.
  • the drain cup 12 is so far into the wall of the apparatus 10 that the plunger head 15 can be moved between its open and closed positions without the disk 25 arranged in the plane of the drain hole 11 to change their position.
  • the disk 25 not only covers the plunger head 15, but also the upper edge region 14 ⁇ of the drain bowl 12. Since the feet 26 stand on the upper edge 14 of the drain bowl 12, they are also covered by the disk 25.
  • the feet or the upper edge of the drain cup have corresponding positive connections in order to fix the disk 25 in the drain hole; in this case 12 openings could be formed in the upper edge 14 ⁇ of the drain bowl, into which the disk 25 with feet 26 can be inserted by means of a snap fit.
  • FIG. 3 shows a further exemplary embodiment of the invention with regard to the fixing of the disk 25, in that a rod 28 is provided on the underside thereof, which engages in an assigned channel 29 in the plunger 16; the channel 29 and the rod 28 are dimensioned so that there is a smooth guidance of the plunger head 15 relative to the fixed disc 25; on the other hand, the disk 25 is secured against displacement relative to the plunger head.
  • This measure can be used both alone and in combination with other supports.
