Definitions

  • the invention relates to a soundproofing cover on a wheel of a wheel set of a rail vehicle, which is designed as a hood which opens the wheel contact area, which preferably extends to the lower boundary profile according to the UIC standard, at most plus an admissible degree of wear of the diameter of the wheel disc, the Wheelset has a wheelset shaft mounted at each of its two ends on the outside of the respective wheel in a wheelset bearing housing, over which the hood extends downwards in the vertical direction.
  • a sound-absorbing panel of bogies is known, which is designed as a wheel arch that surrounds each of the disc wheels.
  • the inside of the wheel arch is lined with sound-absorbing material and only leaves the wheel contact area free.
  • This panel is attached to the bogie frame in a disadvantageous manner.
  • the purpose of the present sound insulation is to insulate the sound vibrations between the rail and the wheel that arise during the rolling motion, in particular the resulting sound radiation through the wheel disc and the wheel rim (tire) as best as possible.
  • the hood extends closely to the wheel and is smaller in overall dimensions than a hood which is attached to the bogie frame.
  • the hood is rotatably mounted concentrically to the wheel on the inside of the wheel by means of a support bearing on the wheelset shaft and is either rotatably mounted on the wheelset shaft by means of a further support bearing or is rigidly fastened to the wheelset bearing housing, or that the hood is only rigidly attached to the wheelset bearing housing or carried by the wheelset bearing housing.
  • This construction of the sound insulation primarily insulates the sound radiation of the wheel disc, which acts like a membrane due to its surface.
  • the hood is divided into an upper part and a lower part releasably connected to it.
  • the rigid attachment of the hood to the wheelset bearing housing can be formed by a releasable connection, preferably a screw connection.
  • a releasable connection preferably a screw connection.
  • separable slide bearings can preferably be used.
  • the hood can be secured against rotation by an anti-rotation device consisting of a lever articulated on the one hand on the hood and on the other hand on the bogie.
  • the bearing e.g. outer bearing shell of a plain bearing
  • the bearing is preferably integrated in the hood.
  • Vibration damping or damping material can also be used between the support bearing (s) and the hood.
  • the structure of the hood can consist of a carrier layer made of metal or plastic and an insulating layer made of plastic provided on the inside in a manner known per se.
  • the carrier layer can be made from welded aluminum parts as well as from a certain plastic. Insulation layer and carrier layer are preferably connected with rivets or adhesive.
  • the insulation layer is provided on the wheel side with a dirt-repellent, stone chip-resistant and fire-resistant layer.
  • the hood can also consist of a self-supporting, sound-absorbing plastic insulation material which either has the same density throughout or is made up of layers of different density.
  • An outer hard layer can enclose the actual insulation material. This offers great advantages in the special shaping of such construction elements.
  • hoods An additional possibility of producing such hoods is the sandwich construction, an insulating layer being provided between a supporting shell made of metal or plastic and a sound-permeable inner shell made of metal or plastic.
  • the insulating material is embedded between an outer and inner sound-permeable carrier shell made of metal or plastic.
  • a depression for engaging a bearing puller is provided on the outside of the hood.
  • the wheelset bearing (after the wheelset has been removed from the bogie) can be disassembled and assembled without having to remove it from the wheelset if the replacement is necessary.
  • the hood can be divided in a manner known per se into an upper part and a lower part releasably connected to it.
  • the hood is formed in one piece and, starting from the horizontal longitudinal center plane, has vertically extending side walls, a recess, which is open at the bottom and can be closed with a lid, being provided for the passage of the wheel set shaft during assembly in both side walls .
  • the inner space of the hood does not taper from the horizontal center plane below and thus enables, with regard to the recesses, an assembly from above on both sides of the hood, the hood being pushed over the wheel.
  • the recesses are then closed by covers, on the inside of which a soundproofing compound is arranged at most. Furthermore, it is advisable to adapt the shape of the hood to the circumferential contour of the wheel.
  • An opening can preferably be provided at the upper apex of the hood in order to advantageously prevent the accumulation of dirt or flying snow.
  • the materials used can advantageously be used to produce various designs for different types of bogies.
  • Fig. 1 the two wheels of a wheelset shaft 6 of a bogie are designated by 2, of which only the frame is indicated and designated by 26. With 32 the top edge of the rail is designated.
  • the wheelset shaft 6 is mounted in wheelset bearing housings 3.
  • Each of the wheels 2 is enclosed by a hood 1, which extends over more than the upper half of the wheel, completely surrounding it, and preferably extends to the lower boundary profile according to the UIC standard plus the size of a permissible wear of the wheel.
  • the hood 1 has a congruent shape with the wheel 2, so that the interior tapers downwards from the horizontal central plane.
  • the hood 1 is attached or mounted on the wheel set so that it is arranged concentrically with the wheel.
  • the hood 1 is on the wheelset bearing housing 3 by detachable connections, preferably screw connections 4, on the outside of the wheel and on the other hand by means of a support bearing 5 on the wheelset shaft 6 in the embodiment according to FIG. 4 on the inside of the wheel.
  • This support bearing 5, which can also be omitted in one variant, can be designed as a slide bearing, which is preferably a separable slide bearing that has two shell halves, not shown, of which the outer shell is provided with a vibration-damping material, in the present case a rubber profile ring 10, which is attached to the outer wall of the hood 1.
  • a support bearing 5 ' is provided not only on the outside of the wheel but also on the inside of the wheel, which can also be a separable slide bearing. This construction is advantageous for smaller wheelset bearings.
  • the hood is secured against rotation, but can take part in any other movement of the wheelset shaft.
  • the hood as shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, can be connected to the bogie frame 26 by an anti-rotation device 9.
  • This anti-rotation 9 can have a lever 28 which is connected on the one hand to the bogie frame 26 and on the other hand to the hood 1 by means of a joint 7 and 8, respectively.
  • the anti-rotation 9 is designed as a pendulum.
  • the hood 1 can, as shown in Fig. 6, inside, i.e. on the side facing the wheel, consist of an insulating layer 11 made of plastic and an overlying carrier layer 12 made of metal or plastic.
  • the soundproofing compound consists exclusively of a self-supporting plastic insulating material 13, which can be enclosed on the outside, as indicated by dashed lines, by another plastic sheathing.
  • the hood 1 can be constructed continuously from a material of the same density or from layers of different density.
  • FIG. 8 Another embodiment of the hood in a so-called sandwich construction is shown in FIG. 8, according to which an insulating layer 16 is interposed between a supporting outer shell 14 made of metal or plastic and a sound-permeable inner shell 15 made of metal or plastic.
  • a supporting outer shell 14 made of metal or plastic
  • a sound-permeable inner shell 15 made of metal or plastic.
  • FIG. 2 it is divided into an upper part 17 and a lower part 18 along the diagonal line 31, the two parts being screwed or the like. are releasably connected.
  • a depression 19 can be formed on the outside of the hood 1 in such a way that a bearing puller between the hood 1 and the wheelset bearing housing 3 can be brought into engagement when the wheelset bearing is replaced.
  • This depression 19 extends from the upper part of the hood 1 to below the horizontal central plane of the wheel and symmetrically to the vertical central axis thereof.
  • formations 20 can also be provided on the circumference of the hood 1 in order to be able to install it in certain types of bogies.
  • the downward opening 21 of the hood is preferably kept small in order to minimize the risk of contamination and the exit surface of the sound.
  • the peripheral wall 22 is made to run vertically downward from the horizontal central plane, an opening 29, 30 extending to the horizontal central plane being provided in each of the two side walls, each of which is covered by a cover 23 or 24 is closed the inside of which sound-absorbing material can be applied.
  • This opening makes it possible to mount hoods 1 on existing bogies or wheels, wherein the hood can be placed on the wheelset shaft. In this case, a subdivision of the hood 1 is not necessary.
  • an opening 25 can be provided to allow the ejection of dirt or flying snow.
