Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a push button for surface material, consisting of an upper part and a lower part, each of which can be fastened to surface materials to be connected and locked together, the upper part and the lower part each consisting of a rivet shaft acting on the surface material with a molded rivet flange and of one consists of a ball (2) or an eyelet (1) existing locking part on the other side of the surface material in which the rivet shaft is riveted, and in the eyelet of the lower part in a spring housing a spring is arranged as a spring element, the inner leg in two mutually parallel slots are resiliently inserted in the inner part of the eyelet of the lower part.
From DE-OS 25 22 518 a push button with a spring arranged in a spring housing is known, the spring housing of which on the side facing the opening forms a centering surface for the ball. The chamfering of the opening-side surface of the spring housing allows the ball to be put on, but Due to the very short and steep area, it cannot be called a centering aid. In addition, with this push-button the spring is loosely arranged in the housing, so that the spring cannot slide away at any time in the axial direction towards the center of the die, held in the die when the ball enters.
From US-A-1 386 306 a push button with an S-spring arranged in a spring housing is known, the inner legs of which are inserted in two mutually parallel slots. In order to secure the S-spring against falling out, the outer area of the S-spring is held by the upper edge of the flanged edge formed on the outside of the spring housing. The flanged edge also prevents the spring from moving radially in the spring housing. With this push button there is almost no pre-centering of the ball due to the inner and middle legs which spring radially outwards in a plane perpendicular to the push button axis. In addition, the flanged edge only prevents the S-spring from falling out and moving radially, but does not prevent the S-spring from slipping away in the axial direction when the ball enters. This push button cannot be connected to the surface material without crumbling.
Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to create a push button with a spring which enables the ball to be centered in the eyelet and can be connected to the surface material without ruffling.
As a technical solution to this problem, a generic push button is proposed, in which a centering cone is formed on the inside of the eyelet on the spring housing and the middle leg of the spring is arranged in the spring housing in the axial direction towards the centering cone and the spring housing on the outside has a bead has and the spring is cambered towards the ball.
The bead on the outside of the spring housing fixes the spring in the spring housing, so that the spring can be prevented from slipping when the spring is pressed apart by the incoming ball. This hold of the spring in the spring housing is ensured by the convex, i.e. The spring, which is designed in a curved shape, is reinforced.
A centering cone can be formed on the ball between the snap area and the ball flange, which is used on the one hand as a contact surface for the centering cone and on the other hand to absorb the deformation pressure during ball production.
In order to be able to connect the rivet shaft and the ball without crimping the surface material, the ball can be open, wherein the rivet shaft can be riveted in the opening serving as the rivet hole. In this embodiment, for fastening to the surface material of the rivet shaft, a surface is placed on the surface material and a lower tool is held against the opposite side through the rivet hole and the surface material is punched out at the passage point, so that no crimping of the surface material can occur. The rivet flange is then flanged to the rivet hole in a known manner.
A push button designed according to the invention has the advantage of centering the ball in the eyelet and also of a crimp-free connection to the surface material.
