Definitions
- the invention relates to a guide rod for a sheet of window decorations or shading systems, which can be gathered substantially perpendicular to the guide rod, the guide rod having two slidably mounted on one end of the rod in the longitudinal direction thereof, each having a head of the free ends of a rail fixed to the window with a C-profile can be gripped behind.
- a management staff is e.g. known from US-A-4,880,045.
- curtains made of fabric or plastic, but also lamellar curtains are considered as flat structures, which are attached to windows of all kinds, including car windows, for decoration or only as sun protection and can be gathered if necessary.
- Similar guide rods are known for example from DE 3 615 349 A1.
- a roman blind that has guide rods arranged at intervals perpendicular to the gathering direction. Shirring cords run through the guide rods and are attached at the end to the lowest guide rod. The curtain is gathered or lowered by actuating the gathering cords.
- the function of the guide rods is to achieve a uniform folding of the curtain when gathering. Due to the Velcro connection between the bars and the curtain sheet, the latter can be easily removed from the window for cleaning purposes. The shirring cords and guide rods remain at the window and do not need to be unthreaded and re-threaded later.
- window decorations are only suitable for rectangular windows and for vertical window surfaces.
- the guide rods would have lateral guide members possess that run in rails and prevent sagging of the curtain. If the slope was clearly inclined, gravity would then no longer be sufficient to overcome the friction of these guide elements when the curtain was lowered.
- it would be desirable to decorate other geometric window shapes such as triangles, circles, semicircles, domes, since such shapes are increasingly occurring in modern house construction, especially in so-called winter gardens.
- the object of the invention is to eliminate these deficiencies of the window decorations known from the above-mentioned publications.
- This is achieved according to the invention by a guide rod for window decorations of the type mentioned in that a disc sits on each slide, which is pressed against the head by a compression spring which is supported at the end of the rod, and in that the slide is at its end opposite the head Has abutment, which prevents the spring from pulling the slider out of its bearing at the end of the rod.
- the principle on which the guide rod according to the invention is based is to make the slider by the spring into a clamping piece which fixes the guide rod in any position and allows its displacement only after the clamping force determined by the spring force has been overcome.
- the spring also allows the overall length of the guide rod to be changed within the scope of its stroke, so that the latter can also be moved in non-straight guide rails without jamming.
- Figure 1 shows a section along the axis of a slider one end of a guide rod according to the invention in engagement in a stationary guide rail.
- FIG. 2 shows a section through the guide rod along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
- FIG. 3 shows an orthogonal section through the guide rod according to FIG. 1 along the section line III-III.
- Figure 4 shows schematically a window decoration for a rectangular window with guide rods according to the invention.
- FIG. 5 schematically shows a winter garden dome, the curtain of which is equipped with the guide rod according to the invention.
- a rail 1 is indicated, which is fixed in place on a window frame, not shown, and, as Figure 3 shows, has a C-shaped cross section.
- the rail is straight or curved, for example in adaptation to a circular, semicircular or dome-like window (FIG. 5).
- a slide 2 slides in this rail, the head 3 of which is engaged behind by the free ends of the profile of the rail 1.
- the slider is in the end piece 4 of a mushroom stick 5, in such a way that it can slide freely in a central hole of the end piece 4 and is prevented by a shoulder 6 from falling out of the end piece 4.
- the end of the slider is provided in the shoulder area with a longitudinal slot 7, which gives this end a certain elasticity, so that the slider can be pressed into the end piece while deforming this end and then back into the one shown Original form returns.
- the spring force is adjusted so that the slider is fixed to friction in the rail in the absence of external forces and slides in the rail when external forces are applied, which are transmitted to the slider, for example, by hand or via a so-called throwing rod.
- the slide piece 2 can be made of plastic.
- the actual guide rod 5 can be tubular and can be provided with a mushroom or Velcro structure on its entire outer surface.
- the mushroom structure is only on one side of the guide rod and consists of a mushroom band strip 10, which is inserted into a metal profile with a U-cross section 11. The free legs of the U-profile are bent back on themselves and clamp the two side edges of the mushroom strip (see Figure 2). This metal profile is pressed into fit cavities of the end piece 4.
- FIG. 4 shows a curtain 12, on which loop bands are sewn or glued, which are connected to the mushroom bands 10 of guide rods in the manner of a Velcro connection.
- a stationary rail 1 On both sides of the rectangular window runs a stationary rail 1, in which the two ends of the guide rods are guided as shown. It would also not be necessary for all of the guide rods to have the sliders according to the invention. In the limit, only the lowest management staff could be equipped with it so that the curtain could be easily opened and closed by moving this guide rod by hand or using a so-called sling rod (not shown).
- the curtain stops at any height, but no spring roller mechanism is required.
- the guide rod according to the invention can also be used advantageously to decorate a vertical and rectangular window as a replacement for a spring roller blind. If it is an inclined roof window, then several or all guide rods will be designed according to the invention, so that an unsightly sagging of the fabric is prevented.
- Figure 5 finally shows an application in a circular dome of a winter garden.
- the guide rods run between two circular and concentric rails 13 and 14, the curtain being gathered in the right part of the figure and closed in the left part.
- the slider is movable in the direction of the axis of the rod so that the total length of the guide rod adapts to different distances between the rails within certain limits. These different distances may be due to the assembly, but may also result from inaccurate operation by which the rod is displaced from its basically radial position.
- the application is similar to a dome Decoration of a window with a semicircular upper edge. This semi-circular area can then be decorated in the same way as was shown for a dome with reference to FIG.
- the invention is not restricted to the preferred exemplary embodiment shown.
- the rod can also be attached to the fabric in a manner other than by means of a Velcro connection.
- the sheet, i.e. the curtain track, pockets can be sewn in through which the guide rods are inserted.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a guide rod for a sheet of window decorations or shading systems, which can be gathered substantially perpendicular to the guide rod, the guide rod having two slidably mounted on one end of the rod in the longitudinal direction thereof, each having a head of the free ends of a rail fixed to the window with a C-profile can be gripped behind. Such a management staff is e.g. known from US-A-4,880,045.
Curtains made of fabric or plastic, but also lamellar curtains are considered as flat structures, which are attached to windows of all kinds, including car windows, for decoration or only as sun protection and can be gathered if necessary.
Similar guide rods are known for example from DE 3 615 349 A1. There it is a roman blind that has guide rods arranged at intervals perpendicular to the gathering direction. Shirring cords run through the guide rods and are attached at the end to the lowest guide rod. The curtain is gathered or lowered by actuating the gathering cords. The function of the guide rods is to achieve a uniform folding of the curtain when gathering. Due to the Velcro connection between the bars and the curtain sheet, the latter can be easily removed from the window for cleaning purposes. The shirring cords and guide rods remain at the window and do not need to be unthreaded and re-threaded later.
Such window decorations are only suitable for rectangular windows and for vertical window surfaces. For so-called roof windows, the guide rods would have lateral guide members possess that run in rails and prevent sagging of the curtain. If the slope was clearly inclined, gravity would then no longer be sufficient to overcome the friction of these guide elements when the curtain was lowered. On the other hand, it would be desirable to decorate other geometric window shapes such as triangles, circles, semicircles, domes, since such shapes are increasingly occurring in modern house construction, especially in so-called winter gardens.
The object of the invention is to eliminate these deficiencies of the window decorations known from the above-mentioned publications. This is achieved according to the invention by a guide rod for window decorations of the type mentioned in that a disc sits on each slide, which is pressed against the head by a compression spring which is supported at the end of the rod, and in that the slide is at its end opposite the head Has abutment, which prevents the spring from pulling the slider out of its bearing at the end of the rod.
The principle on which the guide rod according to the invention is based is to make the slider by the spring into a clamping piece which fixes the guide rod in any position and allows its displacement only after the clamping force determined by the spring force has been overcome. The spring also allows the overall length of the guide rod to be changed within the scope of its stroke, so that the latter can also be moved in non-straight guide rails without jamming.
With regard to preferred embodiments of the guide rod according to the invention, reference is made to the subclaims.
The invention is described below on the basis of a preferred embodiment explained in more detail using the drawings.
Figure 1 shows a section along the axis of a slider one end of a guide rod according to the invention in engagement in a stationary guide rail.
Figur 2 zeigt einen Schnitt durch den Führungsstab entlang der Linie II-II in Figur 1.FIG. 2 shows a section through the guide rod along the line II-II in FIG. 1.
Figur 3 zeigt einen Orthogonalschnitt durch den Führungsstab gemäß Figur 1 entlang der Schnittlinie III-III.FIG. 3 shows an orthogonal section through the guide rod according to FIG. 1 along the section line III-III.
Figure 4 shows schematically a window decoration for a rectangular window with guide rods according to the invention.
Figur 5 zeigt schematisch eine Wintergartenkuppel, deren Vorhang mit dem erfindungsgemäßen Führungsstab ausgerüstet ist.FIG. 5 schematically shows a winter garden dome, the curtain of which is equipped with the guide rod according to the invention.
In Figures 1 and 3, a rail 1 is indicated, which is fixed in place on a window frame, not shown, and, as Figure 3 shows, has a C-shaped cross section. The rail is straight or curved, for example in adaptation to a circular, semicircular or dome-like window (FIG. 5).
Like the end piece 4 of the rod, the
This example shows that the guide rod according to the invention can also be used advantageously to decorate a vertical and rectangular window as a replacement for a spring roller blind. If it is an inclined roof window, then several or all guide rods will be designed according to the invention, so that an unsightly sagging of the fabric is prevented.
Figure 5 finally shows an application in a circular dome of a winter garden. Here the guide rods run between two circular and
The application is similar to a dome Decoration of a window with a semicircular upper edge. This semi-circular area can then be decorated in the same way as was shown for a dome with reference to FIG.
The invention is not restricted to the preferred exemplary embodiment shown. The rod can also be attached to the fabric in a manner other than by means of a Velcro connection. In particular, the sheet, i.e. the curtain track, pockets can be sewn in through which the guide rods are inserted.
