Abstract

Disclosed is a screen tensioning mechanism (100) for use in a retractable blind. The screen tensioning mechanism (100) comprises a projecting member (102) and a housing member (110). The projecting member (102) has a head portion (104) and a resiliently deformable tail portion (106). The housing member (110) comprises a first opening (114) adapted to receive an end of a support rod. The second opening (112) has a tapered internal profile that is adapted to forcibly receive the tail portion (106) by inwardly displacing the tail portion (106). In use, the resiliently deformable tail portion (106) biases the projecting member (102) axially outward from the support rod.
