Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a dishwasher with improved operation.
  • Some known dishwashers include at the ceiling of their tank a “ceiling” spray reel.
  • This "ceiling” watering reel is usually intended either for a main washing of the dishes in their upper basket, or for additional watering of these dishes, the main washing of which is ensured by an upper watering reel arranged below their upper basket for dishes.
  • the liquid jets sent by this "ceiling" reel are mainly directed laterally and downwards on the dishes below. Some of these jets reach the side walls of the tank, but these jets are not oriented towards the ceiling of this tank only randomly or partially. In addition, this watering "ceiling" reel is often bulky.
  • Certain other known dishwashers comprise at the level of the ceiling of their tank a fixed "ceiling" nozzle for supplying liquid to a watering reel supported by their upper basket for dishes.
  • This fixed “ceiling” nozzle may have two or more lateral outlets which emit fixed jets of liquid falling in rain on the dishes below in the upper basket for dishes. These fixed jets of liquid from the “ceiling” nozzle are directed laterally and downwards and carry out additional watering of these dishes, the main washing of which is ensured by the supported watering reel. by the upper dish basket.
  • Also known from document CH-A-442 647 is a dishwasher comprising a turbine permanently spraying the entire surface of the ceiling of the tank of this machine.
  • the present invention aims to avoid these drawbacks, makes it possible to produce a dishwasher having an excellent operation in which the washing and / or rinsing of the dishes is greatly improved, and gives a dish washed and / or rinsed with food particles.
  • a dishwasher provided in its tank with a lower watering reel, an upper watering reel associated with the lower and upper dish baskets, and another watering device directed towards the tank ceiling, is characterized in that this other watering device is a reel for voluntary cleaning of the entire surface of the tank ceiling, this reel providing a main function of sweeping the surface of the ceiling by jets of liquid leaving one or more nozzles made in the reel.
  • a dishwasher 1 represented diagrammatically by broken lines comprises a tank 2, a lower dish basket 3, an upper dish basket 4, lower 5 and upper 6 reels and a sump 8 in the bottom of the tank 2.
  • Sump 8 is in communication, on the one hand to through an intake pipe 9 with a liquid recycling pump 10 which sucks liquid into this sump and discharges it through pipes 12 and 13 into the lower 5 and upper 6 reels, and on the other hand to through an inlet 14, with a drain pump 18 which collects liquid in the lowest part of this sump 8 and discharges it outwards through a drain pipe 19.
  • a liquid recycling pump 10 which sucks liquid into this sump and discharges it through pipes 12 and 13 into the lower 5 and upper 6 reels, and on the other hand to through an inlet 14, with a drain pump 18 which collects liquid in the lowest part of this sump 8 and discharges it outwards through a drain pipe 19.
  • the sump 8 is covered by a medium filter 20 and a coarse filter 22.
  • the medium filter 20 separates the recycling pump 10, from the tank 2 and from the inlet 14 of the drain pump 18, and puts the tank 2 in communication with the inlet 14 of the drain pump 18 through its tubular opening 21 in which the coarse filter 22 is mounted.
  • a microfilter 40 is mounted in the tank 2 and filters the small food particles or microparticles conveyed by a stream of liquid sent by the recycling pump 10 through a bypass line 27, and a nozzle 42 disposed in the inlet 14 from the drain pump 18. This stream of liquid represents only a fraction of the liquid discharged by the recycling pump 10.
  • the microfilter 40 allows filtered liquid to pass into the tank 2 and retains food microparticles.
  • a non-return valve 16 separates the inlet opening of the drain pump 18 and the inlet 14.
  • the non-return valve 16 is open only in the direction of the drain pump 18 and closed in the opposite direction.
  • the medium filter 20, the coarse filter 22 and the microfilter 40 gradually retain the food particles present in the washing or rinsing liquid.
  • liquid streams form pass from the tank 2 through the medium filter 20, the coarse filter 22 and the microfilter 40, into the inlet 14 of this drain pump 18 then entrain food particles retained by the medium filter 20 and the microfilter 40 and discharge them towards the outside through the drain pipe 19.
  • the large food particles retained by the coarse filter 22 are removed manually during cleaning of this filter 22.
  • the average residence time of food particles on the ceiling of their tank is greater than that of food particles on dishes, which requires a relatively large number of rinses in these known dishwashers without the dishes being washed and rinsed in these devices is free of traces of food particles on its surface.
  • a dishwasher for having quickly got rid of food particles, comprises in addition to the upper and lower reels associated with the lower and upper baskets for dishes, a reel for voluntary cleaning of the entire surface of the ceiling of the tank.
  • This reel for cleaning the tank ceiling has a double function, a main function of sweeping the surface of this ceiling by jets of liquid and a subsidiary function of watering the dishes in the upper and lower basket for dishes. rain of liquid coming from these jets of liquid returned by this ceiling.
  • the ceiling of the tank of this dishwasher is free of food particles, that the washing and / or rinsing of the dishes is significantly improved by additional watering of these dishes operated by the voluntary cleaning reel of the ceiling of the tank, that the microparticles are no longer found in a lesser way in the microfilter, in the last rinses, that an optimal purification of each of the washing and rinsing baths is carried out, and that the number of baths in a program of operation can be reduced while obtaining washed and rinsed dishes free of traces of food particles.
  • the dishwasher 1 comprises, in the vicinity of the ceiling 46 of the tank 2, a reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling and a mixed part 50 serving both as a nozzle 51 supply of liquid to the upper sprinkler reel 6, axis 53 of rotation to this reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling and water distributor for this same reel.
  • the reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling consists of a circular, polygonal or elongated box 54 provided on the one hand with a tubular hub 55 cut transversely in two by a circular transverse slot 56 (FIG. 2) or a circular transverse row openings (not shown) serving as a liquid inlet channel and on the other hand one or more orifices or nozzles 57 oriented towards the ceiling 46 of tank 2 and giving at their outlet one or more jets of liquid sweeping during the rotation of this reel 49 the whole extent of the surface of this ceiling 46.
  • the mixed part 50 comprises a tubular body which, serving as an axis 53 of rotation or reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling, comprises at one end, an axial nozzle 51 for supplying liquid to the upper sprinkler reel 6 and a radial flange 59.
  • This flange 59 serves both as a support stop for the reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling and as a socket for mounting the mixed part 50 on the end of the pipe 13 connected to the pump. liquid recycling 10.
  • the tubular body of the mixed part 50 serving as the axis of rotation 53 of the reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling comprises in its wall on the one hand at least one radial opening 62 for supplying liquid to the reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling and on the other hand on both sides of this or these radial openings 62 two circular transverse grooves 64, 65 open towards the outside of this tubular body and intended to ensure good guidance and sealing satisfactory.
  • the recycling pump 10 sucks liquid into the sump 8 and discharges it through the pipes 12, 13, 27.
  • the stream of liquid discharged through the pipe 13 is divided into two parts at the level of the mixed part 50, a part passing through the nozzle 51 crossing a space in the air 70 and entering via a pipe 71 in the upper spray reel 6 and a part passing through the radial openings 62, the transverse slot 56 entering the reel 49 for cleaning the tank ceiling and leaving the orifices or nozzles 57 under form of liquid jets 75 which sweep the surface of the ceiling 46 and entrain food particles which deposit there before being returned by this ceiling 46 and falling in rain on the dishes in the upper 4 and lower 3 basket for dishes .
  • the ceiling 46 of the tank 2 is thus voluntarily cleaned continuously and over its entire surface by jets of liquid 75 from the reel 49 which quickly regularly and progressively entrain food particles therein. deposit.
  • the average residence time of the food particles on the ceiling is then equivalent to the average residence time of the food particles on the surface of the dishes in baskets 3 and 4. There is no longer a time difference between the evacuation of food particles attached to the ceiling 46 of the tank 2 and that on the dishes and the other walls of the tank 2, which no longer requires a large number of rinses to remove the last food particles in the appliance to obtain dishes washed and rinsed free of traces of food particles.
