Abstract

In the case of the building facade cladding comprising a profiled rail substructure and cladding boards fastened thereupon, the vertically running profiled rails (7) contain brackets (3), onto which in each case a cladding board (2) can be placed by a lower edge face (4) set back behind the visible side (5) of the board. Each profiled rail (7) has two vertically running hollow boxes (8), in which inserted holding elements (11) are displaceable horizontally and parallel to the plane of the cladding boards and from which the holding elements (11) protrude with a hook-shaped end (12). The neighbouring perpendicular side edges of in each case two cladding boards (2) can be fastened on a common profiled rail (7) in such a way that, by horizontal displacing of the holding elements in the hollow boxes (8), the hook-shaped ends (12) of the holding elements (11) are introduced into receiving pockets (14) of the cladding boards (2), which pockets are attached on the perpendicular side edges of the cladding boards (2) on edge faces (13) set back behind the visible side (5) of the board. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a cladding for building facades or the like according to the preamble of the main claim.

From DE-A-3 432 513 a facade cladding of the aforementioned type is known.

In the version of the known facade cladding, in which vertically extending profile rails are attached as a substructure on the building facade, these vertical profile rails are designed on their profile front side facing the rear of the cladding panels with a dovetail groove running in the longitudinal direction of the profile to accommodate height-displaceable holding elements and each consist of a cladding panel on its lateral edge with the vertical profile rail holding elements in two parts from a holding piece and a locking piece. The holding piece can be inserted with a pin into a hole in the side edge of the cladding panel and is formed behind the side edge of the cladding panel with a vertical dovetail groove facing the front of the profile rail. The locking piece used to connect the holding piece to the profile rail is designed both on the rear with dovetail projections with which the locking piece can be displaced vertically in the dovetail groove of the profile rail, and on the front side with dovetail projections with which the locking piece is moved vertically on the profile rail into the dovetail groove of the holding piece is insertable. The required for this panel mounting of the known facade cladding Training the vertical rails and both parts of the two-part holding elements with longitudinally displaceable and in the holding direction perpendicular to the building facade reliably interlocking interlocking grooves and tongues of two dovetail connections is complex and expensive. The dovetail connections must also be designed with stop elements so that the locking piece does not slip out of the dovetail groove of the holding piece and can thereby loosen the cladding plate fastening by itself. The vertical profile rails are to be fastened to the building facade with a precise horizontal orientation and the two dovetail connections must be designed and arranged with a precise horizontal orientation to one another so that the holding piece in the holding position on the profile rail defined by the locking piece has the exact, suitable horizontal orientation to the side Has edge of the cladding panel.

The invention has for its object to provide a cladding for building facades or, for example, for internal building walls, in which the cladding panels can be attached to a substructure made of vertically running profile rails with simple and inexpensive to manufacture means in an invisible and subsequently detachable and removable manner and where the laying of the vertical profile rails on the building facade does not require any particular effort in terms of accuracy.

Starting from a cladding of the type mentioned at the outset, the invention solves this problem by means of the design features stated in the characterizing part of the main claim. Advantageous and practical embodiments result from the subclaims.

  • Figur 1 einen senkrechten Schnitt durch einen Teil einer Verkleidungsplatte und der Unterkonstruktion;
  • Figur 2 einen horizontalen Schnitt durch die Unterkonstruktion und durch zwei benachbarte, in der gleichen Verkleidungsebene liegende Verkleidungsplatten;
The design and mode of operation of the cladding according to the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing described in which an embodiment is shown. It shows
  • 1 shows a vertical section through part of a cladding panel and the substructure;
  • 2 shows a horizontal section through the substructure and through two adjacent cladding panels lying in the same cladding plane;
  • Figure 3 shows a horizontal section through the substructure and two cladding panels, which are located on the corner of the building between two cladding levels perpendicular to each other.

The cladding consists of a substructure, generally designated by the numeral 1 in FIG. 1, which contains at least vertically extending profile rails, for example made of aluminum, and essentially rectangular cladding panels 2, which consist, for example, of artificially produced marble and have a panel thickness which, on the one hand sufficient for the strength of the cladding panels, inter alia, also against wind pressure and wind suction and, on the other hand, is also required for the formation of the cladding panels with the measures according to the invention. The substructure 1 has at least one console 3 for the weight absorption of each cladding panel 2, onto which the cladding panel 2 with a lower edge surface 4 can be placed. Of course, the bracket 3 can be attached to the substructure 1 at the correct location for the format and the height of the cladding panel by means of training and measures which are not shown in detail. The console 3 can be a simple support on which the cladding plate rests only for weight absorption. The edge surface 4 is set back, for example, by milling out the edge of the panel in the area of the bracket 3 behind the front face 5 of the cladding panel 2, so that the bracket is not visible from the front of the cladding. The cladding panel 2 is advantageously on this recessed lower edge surface 4 is further provided with a slot-like milled holding pocket 6, into which a hook-shaped bracket 3 shown in FIG. 1 engages, which not only bears the weight of the cladding plate, but also the cladding plate at its lower end the substructure 1 approaches so that, depending on the height of the cladding panel, it can suffice to carry out the further invisible and releasable fastening according to the invention, which is shown in FIG. 2, only at the upper end of the cladding panel. In order to invisibly and detachably fasten the adjacent lateral edges of two cladding panels 2, which lie in the same cladding plane, at least at one point on the side edge to a vertically extending profile rail 7 of the substructure 1, the profile rail 7 has two vertical cross-sections, preferably rectangular Hollow boxes 8, which are at a horizontal distance from each other behind the two adjacent plate edges. The hollow boxes 8 are formed on their opposite sides 9 with an outlet opening 10 through which a holding element 11 inserted into the hollow box 8 protrudes from the hollow box. The section of the holding element 11 engaging in the hollow box is shaped such that the holding element is held by the hollow box against movements in the direction perpendicular to the cladding plane (from top to bottom in FIG. 2), but in the hollow box parallel to the cladding plane in the horizontal direction ( in Figure 2 from left to right) can be moved by a limited distance. The part of the holding element 11 protruding from the hollow box 8 has a hook-shaped end 12. The cladding plate 2 is, at that point on its side edge at which the fastening by means of the holding element 11 is to be carried out, similar to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 with an edge surface 13 provided, which is set back behind the visible front side 5 of the cladding panel and from which a recessed receiving pocket 14 extends. The hook-shaped end 12 of the holding element can be inserted into this receiving pocket 14 by horizontally displacing the holding element in the hollow box 8. In this position, the holding element 11 is invisibly covered by the covering plate 2. The thickness of the hook-shaped holding element end 12 corresponds essentially to the inside width of the receiving pocket 14 so that the hook-shaped end 12 engages in the receiving pocket 12 largely without play in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the cladding panel. The same applies to the console 3 shown in FIG. 1, if the console is not only to bear the panel weight, but also to fix the lower end of the cladding panel at a certain distance from the building facade. In order to release one of the two plate fastenings shown in FIG. 2, it is only necessary to reach through with a hook-like tool through the gap which is usually always present between the two adjacent plate edges and to move the holding element 11 in the hollow box 8 or to pull it outwards until the hook-shaped one End 12 disengages from the receiving pocket 14. Above the receiving pocket 14 of the cladding panel 2, the outlet opening 10 of the hollow box 8 is widened to such an extent that at this point in the hollow box or the profiled rail, the holding element 11 is first inserted between the two hollow boxes 8 and can then be inserted into the hollow box by widening; From this point, the holding element 11 can then be lowered vertically up to the height of the receiving pocket 14 of the cladding panel 2, whereby various suitable stops can be provided on the profile rail 7 or also in the hollow box 8, which prevent the holding element 11 from falling down below the receiving pocket 14 prevent. During the assembly of the facade cladding from below takes place upwards, a locking plate 15 provided with two slots from the lower edge can be placed on the two holding elements pushed into the engagement position with the cladding panels, which prevents an automatic displacement of both holding elements into the position reaching out from the cladding panels. For deliberate loosening of the cladding plate fastening, the locking plate 15 can likewise be lifted from the two holding elements with a suitable tool through the gap between the two cladding plate edges and then also be placed back on the two holding elements.

For the detachable and invisible fastening of two cladding panels 2 and 21 shown in FIG. 3, which lie or collide on a building corner, the profiled rail 7 to be attached to one of the two building surfaces forming the building corner has at least on its longitudinal side facing the building corner, but preferably on both long sides a receiving groove 22 open to the front of the profiled rail 7. One leg 23 of a U-shaped bracket 24 can be inserted into this receiving groove 22. The other leg of this bracket 24 engages in the side pocket 14 of the trim panel 21. The cladding panel 2 lying in front of the building surface containing the profile rail 7 is held by a holding element 27 which is inserted into the hollow box 8 of the profile rail 7 facing the building corner. For this purpose, the part of the holding element 27 protruding from the hollow box 8, deviating from the holding element 11 in the right part of FIG. 2, is not designed with a hook-shaped end but with a U-shaped end 25 in order to be analogous to the left part of FIG to be able to engage the side receiving pocket 14 of the cladding panel 2. To secure this holding element 27 and immediately of the holding bracket 24 in the position holding the cladding panels 2 and 21, a locking plate 26 can be used, which can be placed at its ends with slots on the holding element 27 and the holding bracket 24. The bracket 24 can also be designed to lock it, for example, so that it can only be completely removed from the receiving pocket 14 of the trim panel 21 when the trim panel 2 is removed or moved laterally.

Claims (5)

  1. Covering for building facades or suchlike, comprising a sub-structure (1), which may be fastened to the building facade and is hung in front thereof, and essentially rectangular covering panels (2) detachably fastened thereto, which may be attached at a lower edge face (4) set back behind the visible front side (5) of the panel (2) onto a truss (3) secured to the sub-structure to carry the weight of the panel, and two panels (2) of which may be connected at their adjacent side edges to a vertical profile rail (7) of the sub-structure, wherein the panels (2) are provided at at least one point on their side edges with an edge face (13), which is set back behind the visible front side (5) and has a recessed cavity (13), and wherein a holding element (11 or 27), which is attached to the profile rail (7) to be adjustable in height and has a hook-shaped end (12 or 25), engages into the cavity (14), characterised in that said vertical profile rail (7) is provided with two vertical hollow boxes (8) arranged at a distance from one another behind the two adjacent side edges of two panels (2) and provided with an opening (10) on their opposite sides (9); that a holding element (11 or 27) is inserted into each hollow box (8), which protrudes out of said hollow box (8) through said opening (10) and which may slide in said hollow box in a horizontal direction parallel to the plane of the covering; that at a point on said profile rail (7) above said cavity (14) on the side edge of said panel (2) and at which said opening (10) is provided with an appropriate widened section, said holding element (11 or 27) may be inserted through said widened section in said hollow box (8) and may then be lowered in said hollow box to the level of said cavity (14); and that the portion of said holding element (11 or 27) protruding out of said hollow box (8) is provided with a hook-shaped or U-shaped end (12 or 25) and may be inserted with this by sliding said holding element horizontally in said hollow box from the side into said cavity (14) of said covering panel.
  2. Covering according to Claim 1, characterised in that on the lower edge face (4) set back behind the visible front side of the panel, the covering panel (2) is provided with a retaining cavity (6), into which a support truss (3) engages, which is hook-shaped from underneath and holds said covering panel at the lower end close to the sub-structure (1).
  3. Covering according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the thickness of the hook-shaped support truss (3) and/or the hook-shaped holding element end (12) vertical to the covering panel plane corresponds essentially to the inner width of the retaining cavity (6) or of the cavity (14) in the covering panel without clearance.
  4. Covering according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that between the two hollow boxes (8) of the profile rail (7) on the portion of a holding element (11) protruding from a hollow box, a stop element (15) may be attached from above, which is itself secured directly or indirectly on the profile rail against horizontal movement, and which prevents the holding element (11) from sliding horizontally in the hollow box in the position in which the hook-shaped holding element end (12) is inserted into the panel cavity (14).
  5. Covering according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the profile rail (7) is provided on one or both longitudinal sides with a receiving groove (22), which is open to the front side of the profile rail and into which, when the profile rail is positioned on a corner of the building, one leg (23) of a U-shaped retaining clip (24) may be inserted, and the other leg may be inserted into the side cavity (14) in a covering panel (21) abutting the longitudinal side of the profile panel (7) on another facade surface.
