Description

The invention relates to a mortise lock with faceplate, lock housing and with a lock latch which can be snapped into a striking plate pocket and which can be pushed back into the lock housing against the force of a spring and actuated by means of a nut by a pusher, and optionally by means of a change via a locking cylinder and a bolt lock , as well as with a control latch that can be pushed into the lock housing against spring force and is guided in the faceplate to block the lock latch against pushing back from the outside, for example by inserting a plate into the door gap, with a bolt on the control latch via an oblique ramp surface on the control case shaft and one part of the bolt executed and resting on the inclined ramp surface is kinematically articulated, the bolt engaging in the inserted position of the control latch in the guideway of the lock latch with a distance to a stop surface of the lock latch bar and prevents the lock latch from being pushed in beyond the bolt, and with the nut connected to at least one lever, the free end of which engages the bolt to retract it when the trigger is actuated, the distance between the bolt and the stop surface of the lock latch being so great is that with a rotary movement of the nut, the bolt is moved out of the guideway of the lock latch before the lock latch has covered the distance mentioned. Such a lock is known from GB-A-2 175 950.

In the case of doors which have a non-rotatable handle or knob instead of a handle, and the lock latch can only be withdrawn with the aid of the appropriate key, burglary methods using a plastic card are known. This is pushed into the door gap where the trap is located. The plastic card, such as a credit card, is on the one hand elastic enough to adapt to and overcome the door rebate, and on the other hand firm enough to push it back onto the inclined surface of the lock latch. In this way, unlocked doors with locks of the type mentioned above could be opened quickly and unobtrusively. Try on the sloping surface of the Arranging the lock latch V-shaped grooves in order to catch the elastic card when pressed against the inclined surface of the latch and thereby prevent the lock latch from being pushed back further, did not lead to convincing results.

From DE-OS 34 47 748 it is known to provide an additional control latch in the lock to block the lock latch engaging in a striking plate and thus to prevent the above-mentioned break-in methods. The control latch is pushed back into the lock when the door is closed due to a lack of a corresponding recess in the striking plate and engages a stop on the drop shaft via control elements and levers. Since the required components are located directly in the area of the lock's kinematics, which is important for the function, the practical training is also complicated with regard to assembly, and mutual influences of the functional elements lying one above the other cannot be excluded.

From DE-U-91 04 766 an anti-panic door lock is known which has a latch and a latch bolt. Furthermore, an additional latch is provided which can be inserted into the lock housing against spring force. This additional latch acts on an automatic locking mechanism which comprises a plate-shaped locking part which can be displaced along the faceplate and parallel to this. When the door is closed, the additional latch releases the automatic locking mechanism, which pushes the latch bolt out, so that the door is locked or locked without a key. At the same time, the trap is locked by the locking part, which slides into the trap's path and engages behind it. This special lock requires complex kinematics to control the individual latch and latch bolt functions and their interaction.

A lock with bolt and latch is known from GB-A-2 175 950. A control latch is located above the drop shaft and, when extended, lifts an angled swivel arm from the displacement area of the drop shaft with the door open. The control latch is pushed back when the door is closed and releases the lever, which lies with its knee-shaped bend against a sliding surface of the drop shaft. The sliding surface ends with a stop, which prevents the latch from being pushed in when the door is closed, if the swivel arm is not raised by an attachment of the handle follower when the handle is actuated. The long swivel arm requires an increased depth of the lock housing, so that standard dimensions can not be easily met.

The invention aims to simplify the construction of the latch blocking, to separate it from the rest of the lock mechanism and thus to ensure simple assembly and trouble-free operation while maintaining the dimensions of a standardized, commercially available lock housing. This is achieved in that the control latch is arranged at a distance below the lock latch and the bolt is aligned perpendicular to the control latch and is linearly displaceable along the faceplate in a bolt guide provided parallel to the faceplate.

In the area between the latch and bolt, there is in any case a run-up surface in a commercially available striking plate, so that the control latch hits a defined counter surface of the striking plate and does not get caught in the rebate of a door frame, for example in screw countersinks. The faceplate of a lock housing is particularly strong. The bolt guide arranged there guarantees a stable construction. The latch can nestle against the faceplate in this area and takes up little space. The latch is locked near the latch head, i.e. in an area in which the latch is exactly guided through the latch opening in the faceplate. This results in very good conditions for a safe and trouble-free function of the arrangement. When the door is closed, the lock can only be released by pressing the button on the inside or by using the appropriate key. If a break-in tool, such as the elastic plastic card mentioned in the introduction, acts on the inclined surface of the lock latch from outside, the lock latch can only be pushed back a little bit until it stops. The effect of the lock latch as a reliable locking element remains intact. To unlock when the handle is actuated, it is expedient if the lever withdrawing the bolt is designed with two arms and if the nut has an extension which is directly connected to the power arm of the lever, the load arm of which engages directly on the bolt. Due to the distance between the lock latch stop surface and the bolt for the lock latch, the push button or rotary knob can be moved somewhat. As a result, the nut is rotated by a small angle until the lock latch is in contact with the bolt or comes in the area of the bolt track. This rotary movement of the nut is transmitted to the bolt via the two-armed lever, which enables a corresponding transmission, which is thereby withdrawn from the path of the lock latch, so that it does not hinder the movement of the lock latch and enables the nut to continue rotating. The lock latch can also be withdrawn via a change using a key. To release the latch lock when the key is actuated, a special embodiment is characterized in that with the power arm one end of a change, for example a push rod or plate, is kinematically connected and the other end can be actuated with tumblers via a locking cylinder and a locking mechanism. The change executes those movements that can also be initiated via the handle and the nut.

An embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the drawing. The figure shows the view of a mortise lock with the lock cover removed. Parts that are insignificant for understanding the invention have been omitted from the drawing. The mortise lock is shown with the door open. A striking plate is indicated by dashed lines opposite the faceplate.

In a lock housing 1 with faceplate 2, a lock latch 3 can be inserted against the force of a spring 4. The lock latch 3 can also be actuated in a known manner by a handle (not shown) by means of a nut 5. Finally, a change 6 is provided, which actuates the lock latch by means of a key via a lock cylinder 7 and a locking mechanism 8 enables.

When the door is closed, the lock latch 3 engages in a striker plate pocket 9 of a striker plate 10, which is merely indicated by dashed lines, in a door frame. A flexible spring plate, a cardboard strip or a plastic card (e.g. credit card) could push the trap back through the gap in the door. If the above-mentioned "tool" comes into contact with the bevel of the lock latch, it will recede with continued pressure until it disappears behind the faceplate 2. If the mortise lock is not locked, that is, the lock bolt 11 is in the position shown, then a door with a rigid, external handle or handle can be opened in this way. In order to lock the lock latch in the closed state of the door so that it cannot be opened from the outside by external action, but only by means of the inside handle or by means of the appropriate key, the following construction is provided:

A control latch 12 is mounted in the faceplate 2 below the lock latch 3. The control latch 12 is not opposite a striking plate pocket; the striking plate 10 is of the commercially available type. When the door is closed, the control latch 12 is therefore pressed into the lock housing by running onto the striking plate. The control case shaft has an inclined run-up surface 13 against which a driver 15 projecting from a bolt 14 rests under the force of a spring 16. The bolt 14 is guided at both ends. If the control latch 12 is pushed back against the force of a leaf spring 17 when a door is closed, the driver 15 slides along the run-up surface 13 and thus the bolt 14 upwards because the pressing spring 16 can relax. The bolt 14 comes into the bolt position 14 'and thus protrudes into the movement path of the lock latch 3, as shown in dashed lines. If, in the closed position of the door, an attempt is now made to push back the latch 3 from the outside, after a short distance it runs against the latch 14 'located in the latch position 14', which prevents the latch 3 from being pushed back further.

The effect of the bolt 14 in the bolt position 14 'must be canceled if the lock latch is to be actuated by means of the handle from the inside or via the switch 6 from the outside by a suitable key. For this purpose, a centrally or off-center mounted, two-armed lever 18 is articulated with its power arm with an extension 19 of the nut 5 and engages with the load arm on the bolt 14. If the handle is now actuated, the nut 5 can in any case be rotated through a small angle until the lock latch 3 reaches the locking position 14 '. This rotary movement of the nut 5 is thus transmitted via the extension 19 and the two-armed lever 18 as a linear movement to the bolt 14, which is withdrawn from its advanced bolt position 14 'into the position drawn with full lines. In this locking position, the lock latch 3 is no longer hindered in its retraction movement. The lock latch 3 can thus be actuated with the help of the handle as in a conventional mortise lock due to the distance between the latch 3 and the latch 14 in the latch position 14 ', which distance permits movement of the handle and thus the lever connections up to the latch 14. But also by means of a key, the bolt 14 can be withdrawn from the bolt position 14 'because the change 6, which is pushed up when the key is actuated, also rotates the two-armed lever 18, so that its load arm presses downwards in the drawing and the bolt 14 is thus removed the latch position 14 'withdraws. When the key is turned further, the lock latch 3 is completely withdrawn beyond the locking point, as is the case when the handle is pressed further.

Claims (3)

  1.
