It is also indispensable for the clamping and release of the weft yarn to take place very smoothly, in order to prevent defibering or tearing thereof.

  • the end 9 of the spring 8 bearing onto the movable clamping member 6 can be differently shaped according to the type of yarn being woven and to its thickness, so as to obtain the most efficient clamping action.
  • the spring 8 may have, for example, a front end 9 split up in two parts of different length, or else it may be formed in one piece, or even be differently shaped.

  • Said wedge element 12 is fixed to the gripper body 1 by screw means 13 housed into a longitudinal slot 14 provided in said element. By loosening the screw means 13, the wedge element 12 can thus be shifted lengthwise, thereby compressing - to a smaller or greater extent - with its inclined surface the spring 8, and thus altering the intensity of its pressure force. More specifically, when the wedge element is shifted in the direction of arrow B (fig. 4), the pressure force imparted by the spring 8 in the direction of arrow C increases, and vice-versa in the contrary case.
  • the carrying gripper described herein comprises no hinged or sliding joints to connect its reciprocally movable component parts, any problems deriving from slacks between said parts, with the respective wears and tolerances, are thereby eliminated.
  • the carrying gripper of the present invention requires neither maintenance nor lubrication. Furthermore, it can easily be adjusted, both by regulating the intensity of the pressure force of the spring 8 - by acting on the wedge element 12 - and by regulating the distribution of said pressure force, by suitably modifying the shape of the end part 9 of said spring 8.

Claims (12)

  1. Griffe porteuse pour métiers sans navette - du type où le fil de trame est serré entre deux organes de serrage formant paire (5, 6), au moins un des organes étant flexible et mobile sous l'action d'un moyen de commande, extérieur à la griffe, afin d'ouvrir la zone de serrage et permettre son nettoyage de sorte que l'organe de serrage flexible et mobile consiste en une lamelle (6), caractérisée en ce que la lamelle est reliée fixement par une extrémité (6b) au corps de griffe (1) et maintenue appuyée contre l'organe de serrage fixe (5) par un moyen élastique (8) agissant sur son extrémité libre (6a), et en ce qu'un levier rigide (10) est relié fixement à ladite lamelle (6) et est actionné par ledit moyen de commande externe afin de déplacer la lamelle flexible (6) loin de l'organe de serrage fixe (5).
  2. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, comprenant également un moyen de réglage (12-14) pour modifier la force de pression du moyen élastique (8) agissant sur l'organe de serrage mobile (6).
  3. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite lamelle flexible (6) est en un matériau métallique et son extrémité libre (6a) est recourbée comme la pointe d'un ski.
  4. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, dans lequel l'extrémité libre (6a) de ladite lamelle (6) est divisée en deux parties par une fente longitudinale.
  5. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ladite lamelle flexible (6) est ancrée au corps de griffe (1) par des vis (7).
  6. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ledit moyen élastique consiste en un ressort à lames (8) en forme de V renversé, fixé à une extrémité au corps de griffe (1) et portant avec l'autre extrémité (9) sur l'extrémité libre (6a) de l'organe de serrage mobile (6).
  7. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 6, dans lequel ledit ressort à lames (8) est fixé au corps de griffe (1) au même point et avec le même moyen (7) que l'organe de serrage mobile (6).
  8. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 6, dans lequel l'extrémité libre (9) dudit ressort à lames (8) est divisée en deux parties, éventuellement de longueur différente, par une fente longitudinale.
  9. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 1, dans lequel ledit levier (10) est fixé sur une zone sensiblement centrale de la lamelle (6), entre son extrémité ancrée (6b) et son extrémité libre (6a).
  10. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 9, dans lequel ledit levier (10) est fixé sur ladite lamelle (6) en correspondance d'au moins deux points distincts (11).
  11. Griffe porteuse selon les revendications 2 et 6, dans lequel ledit moyen de réglage consiste en un élément en coin (12), glissant longitudinalement le long du corps de griffe (1) et apte à être fixé à celui-ci dans une position au choix, la surface inclinée dudit élément (12) coopérant avec la surface inclinée de la portion en forme de V renversé dudit ressort à lames (8).
  12. Griffe porteuse selon la revendication 11, dans lequel ledit élément en coin (12) est fixé au corps de griffe (1) par une vis (13) logée dans une fente longitudinale (14) dudit élément.
