Definitions
- the invention relates to a sheet guide on sheet guide drums of sheet printing machines according to the preamble of the first claim.
- the known ring segments can only absorb axial forces in one direction, which is why they are arranged in mirror image at both ends of the drum for counter support. Radial forces cannot be absorbed, so they are not suitable for carrying the bow.
- known sheet guiding means must also be attached, for example with a sawtooth-like outer boundary, so that the sheets each have only point contact with the drum or drum shell.
- the sheet metal shells are provided with a large number of bores, not shown, which ensure an outflow of the air flow generated by the rotating movement of the drum. Due to the well-known ring segments, the arch is guided on its transport path in a shaft that prevents lateral evasion.
- the additional sheet guiding means provided between the L-shaped ring segments may have a maximum support width which depends on the thickness and the rigidity of the sheet material. However, it is not possible to do without the additional sheet guiding means between the ring segments. If such sheet guiding means are used, then pressure-free corridors must be available for lubrication-free sheet conveyance. There is a risk of smearing with all-over prints.
- the advantage of the invention is that axial and radial forces can be absorbed by the bevel gear segments, so that rigid arch material up to a certain width, e.g. rigid cardboard or sheet metal material can be greased around the edge of a sheet guide drum without scratching and without scratching the printed image and without damaging the sheet, because additional means for preventing lubrication of any kind are missing between the outer bevel gear segments.

- the printing unit 1 of a sheet offset rotary printing press shown in FIG. 1 is constructed and comprises in a conventional manner two plate / rubber cylinder pairs 2, 3 and 4, 5.
- the printed sheet 12 is transferred via a take-up drum 7 to a transport chain 8 which conveys the sheet 12 either to a further printing unit, not shown, or to a sheet delivery.
- Gripper carriages 9 with corresponding known gripper systems usually grip the sheet 12 at its front edge and take it over from the impression cylinder 6. After the sheets 12 have been transferred to the gripper carriages 9, they are guided around the take-up drum 7 and transported further in a sloping sheet guiding area. The back of the sheet 12 is guided by curved guide elements 10 and by blow boxes 11.
- Sheets 12 guided around the take-up drum 7 tend to smear on a lateral surface or on supporting elements. According to the invention, therefore, such sheet guiding elements are missing from the take-up drum 7.
- the gripper carriages 9 run in a known manner into recesses 17, which are provided comparable to a drum channel.
- the bevel gear segments 13, 14 are attached to the drum shaft 16, for example, by means of clamping screws 15.
- the two bevel gear segments 13, 14 are set in the axial direction on the side edges of rigid sheet 12 of a certain width so that they are conveyed by the printing machine without smearing.
- the bevel gear segments 13, 14 force the side edges of the rigid bends 12 into a radial position, which is characterized by mutually aligned heights. Since axial forces can only be absorbed in one direction, the mirror image arrangement of the Bevel gear segments 13, 14 thus for counter-support of the arch 12 and at the same time for radial support at a set height.
- the aligned heights of the bevel gear segments 13, 14 may have a maximum support width for guiding and carrying in the axial direction, which depends on the thickness and rigidity of the sheet material and is at least so large that the sheet 12 does not sag in the middle part of its width.
- the drawing does not show, but it is of course possible to provide known additional mechanical, pneumatic or other (eg super-blue) sheet guiding means on the drum shaft 16 between the bevel gear segments 13, 14, but with the disadvantage that the risk of lubrication increases again , whereby the arch 12 can optionally also be brought into a curved stable shape with a medium support, which stabilizes the support of the side edges on the bevel gear segments 13, 14.

Abstract
Description
Patentanspruches. The invention relates to a sheet guide on sheet guide drums of sheet printing machines according to the preamble of the first claim.
From DE-OS 24 09 220 it is already known to guide sheets from one printing unit to the next on the side edge by means of ring segments with an L-shaped cross section, which are arranged at a somewhat greater distance than the respective sheet width in a correspondingly loose and axially displaceable manner on the drum are.
The known ring segments can only absorb axial forces in one direction, which is why they are arranged in mirror image at both ends of the drum for counter support. Radial forces cannot be absorbed, so they are not suitable for carrying the bow. For this purpose, known sheet guiding means must also be attached, for example with a sawtooth-like outer boundary, so that the sheets each have only point contact with the drum or drum shell. In order to enable an orderly air flow in the area of the drum, the sheet metal shells are provided with a large number of bores, not shown, which ensure an outflow of the air flow generated by the rotating movement of the drum. Due to the well-known ring segments, the arch is guided on its transport path in a shaft that prevents lateral evasion. The additional sheet guiding means provided between the L-shaped ring segments may have a maximum support width which depends on the thickness and the rigidity of the sheet material. However, it is not possible to do without the additional sheet guiding means between the ring segments. If such sheet guiding means are used, then pressure-free corridors must be available for lubrication-free sheet conveyance. There is a risk of smearing with all-over prints.
It is an object of the invention to provide a sheet guide on sheet guide drums of sheet-fed printing machines for rigid materials, with which sheets can be conveyed through the sheet-fed press even without additional sheet guiding means between lateral segments.
This object is achieved by the characteristic features listed in the characterizing part of
The advantage of the invention is that axial and radial forces can be absorbed by the bevel gear segments, so that rigid arch material up to a certain width, e.g. rigid cardboard or sheet metal material can be greased around the edge of a sheet guide drum without scratching and without scratching the printed image and without damaging the sheet, because additional means for preventing lubrication of any kind are missing between the outer bevel gear segments.
The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment, reference being made to the drawings.
In den Zeichnungen zeigt

- Figur 2
- ein Kegelradsegment in Seitenansicht,

- the bevel gear segments on the sheet guide drum in plan view.
The
The two
The
The drawing does not show, but it is of course possible to provide known additional mechanical, pneumatic or other (eg super-blue) sheet guiding means on the
