Description

The present invention relates to a method for fixing the end of a wire of a spool.

The invention also relates to a device for implementing this method.

Textile yarn spools are formed automatically on winders.

At the exit of these winders, the reels are continuously transported on a belt conveyor, to an unloading station where an operator unloads them.

After this discharge, the operator must still carry out the following operations:
  • 1) wind the end of the wire which unwound during the movement of the coil on the belt conveyor around the reel,
  • 2) make a knot at this end of the wire to fix it to the spool and avoid subsequent unwinding of the latter,
  • 3) store the reels.

Furthermore, the identification of the coils is currently carried out by means of labels applied to the tubular internal face of the coils on which the wire is wound.

However, these labels are barely visible, particularly from a distance, so that it is difficult to detect a possible error due to a mixture of coils carrying wires from different lots.

Patent DD-A-79,245, which corresponds to the preamble of claims 1 and 2, discloses a method and a device in which a vacuum is created inside the coil, this vacuum being sufficient to draw the end unbound wire, while rotating the spool to unwind the unbound end of the wire so that it can be sufficiently sucked.

The disadvantage of such a method is that it leaves a long end of the wire free inside the bobbin and does not prevent subsequent reeling.

Or un tel procédé n'empêche pas le dévidage ultérieur du fil lorsqu'une force de traction est appliquée à son extrémité.DE-C-2 054 131 also discloses a method in which the end of the wire is engaged in a hook, the hook is introduced into the spool and the hook is removed from the spool. However, such a method does not prevent the subsequent unwinding of the wire when a tensile force is applied to its end.

Ce but est atteint par un procédé selon la revendication 1 et un dispositif selon la revendication 2.The object of the present invention is to remedy the above drawbacks, by creating a method and a device which make it possible to easily and automatically fix the end of the wire on spools. This object is achieved by a method according to claim 1 and a device according to claim 2.

The end of the wire is thus held captive between the wire windings of one of the corners of the coil. This method and this device make it possible to effectively fix the end of the wire to the spool and thus avoid the drawback associated with the application of a label to achieve this fixation.

According to an advantageous version of the invention, the suction nozzle opens onto the upper part of the coil and the needle is placed near an upper corner of this coil.

De préférence, la buse comporte une fente d'aspiration parallèle à l'axe de la bobine et s'étendant sensiblement sur toute la longueur de celle-ci.Preferably, the nozzle has a suction slot parallel to the axis of the coil and extending substantially over the entire length of the latter.

Therefore, the nozzle is capable of sucking the wire inward regardless of the position of the end of the wire on the spool.

According to a preferred characteristic of the invention, the nozzle is pivotally mounted on an axis parallel to that of the coil between the position where its suction opening is spaced from the coil and the position where this opening is substantially in contact with the coil .

In the last position above, the nozzle brings the end of the thread into contact with the needle, which which allows the hook thereof to engage with the thread when the needle moves to its initial position.

Other features and advantages of the invention will appear in the description below.

We will first describe the device for implementing the method according to the invention, then we will describe this process at the same time as the operation of the device.

In Figure 1, we see a coil 1 emerging from a winder where it was formed. The end 2 of the wire of this coil 1 is not fixed to the latter and hangs loosely on one of the sides of the coil.

Generally, the device for fixing the end 2 of the wire to the coil 1, comprises (see FIGS. 1 and 3)
means 3 for successively bringing coils 1 onto two spaced supports 4, 5.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the means 3 for successively bringing coils 1 onto the two spaced supports 4, 5 comprise a belt conveyor supporting and moving the coils 1, in the direction of the axis XX 'of their bobbin tubular.

In this example, the two spaced supports are constituted by two rotary rollers 4, 5 parallel receiving each coil according to two generators thereof (see Figure 3).

These two rotary rollers 4, 5 are connected together by a belt or the like to be able to rotate in the same direction around their respective axes. This belt is driven by an electric motor provided with a device for reversing the direction of rotation, so that the rollers 4, 5 can rotate either in one direction or in the opposite direction, as will be described in more detail in more detail. far.

Thus, the coil 1 arrives with its hanging wire end 2 at the end of the conveyor belt 3 (see FIG. 1), after which it is placed on two rotating rollers 4, 5 allowing the coil 1 to rotate around its axis. XX '(see Figures 2 and 3).

  • une buse aspirante 6 qui débouche à proximité de la bobine 1 (voir figures 3 et 4) ;
  • des rouleaux 4, 5 pour faire tourner la bobine 1 pour amener l'extrémité du fil 2 en regard de la buse aspirante 6 ;
The device for fixing the end 2 of the wire to the spool 1 essentially comprises:
  • a suction nozzle 6 which opens near the coil 1 (see Figures 3 and 4);
  • rollers 4, 5 for rotating the spool 1 to bring the end of the wire 2 opposite the suction nozzle 6;
  • a support 7 (see FIG. 6) for holding a needle 8 carrying a hook 9 at its end near a corner 10 of the spool 1 in a direction D which crosses the wire windings of the corner 10 (see FIG. 7) and passes close to the suction nozzle 6.

The support 7 comprises means such as a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator for moving the needle 8 in the aforementioned direction D and to bring it back to its initial position released from the coil 1.

As can be seen in FIGS. 2 to 8, the suction nozzle 6 opens onto the upper part of the coil 1 and the needle 8 is placed near an upper corner 10 of this coil 1.

Par ailleurs, comme montré sur la figure 6, la buse 6 comporte une lente d'aspiration 11 parallèle à l'axe X-X' de la bobine 1 et s'étendant sensiblement sur toute la longueur de celle-ci.Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 6, the nozzle 6 comprises a slow suction 11 parallel to the axis XX ′ of the coil 1 and extending substantially over the entire length of the latter.

In addition, the nozzle 6 is pivotally mounted on an axis YY 'parallel to that of the coil 1 between a position (see FIG. 5) where its suction opening 11 is spaced from the coil 1 and a position (see FIGS. 3, 4 and 8) where this opening 11 is substantially in contact with the coil 1.

As shown in FIGS. 6, 7 and 8, the direction D of movement of the needle 8 passes slightly under the end of the wire 2 held in the suction nozzle 6 when the latter is spaced from the coil 1.

In addition, it can be seen that the hook 9 of the needle 8 is oriented upwards.

Par ailleurs, lorsque l'ouverture 11 de la buse d'aspiration 6 est sensiblement en contact avec la bobine 1 (voir figure 8), l'extrémité du fil 2 maintenue dans cette buse 6 prend appui sur l'aiguille 8.Furthermore, when the opening 11 of the suction nozzle 6 is substantially in contact with the coil 1 (see FIG. 8), the end of the wire 2 held in this nozzle 6 is supported on the needle 8.

On the other hand, the suction nozzle 6 contains a sensor 12 sensitive to the presence of the end of the wire 2 inside this nozzle. This sensor 12 is suitable for controlling the stopping of the rotation of the coil 1, in the positions shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 and 8, 9.

In addition, the support 7 of the needle 8 comprises means (see arrow F in FIG. 9) for rotating the needle 8 by a quarter of a turn on its axis, when the latter moves towards its position. initial.

We will now describe the operation of the above device.

In its initial position, the nozzle 6 is substantially in contact with the upper part of the coil 1, as indicated in FIG. 3 and the needle 8 is recessed.

The coil 1 being in position on the rollers 4, 5, it is rotated to rotate the coil 1 (see Figure 3) to bring the end of the wire 2 closer to the suction nozzle 6.

When the end of the wire 2 comes opposite the nozzle 6, the latter sucks it inside (see FIG. 4). The sensor 12 detects the presence of the wire 2 and controls the stopping of the rotation of the coil 1 which thus remains stationary for the rest of the operations.

Then rotated (see Figure 5), using an actuator not shown, the nozzle 6 in the spaced position of the coil 1 shown in Figure 5, which has the effect of lifting the end of the wire 2 coil 1.

In a subsequent step (see FIG. 6), the needle 8 is moved to an upper corner 10 of the coil 1. The needle 8 crosses the corner 10 and its hook 9 projects from the top of the coil, passing under wire 2.

The pivoting of the nozzle 6 (see FIG. 8) is then controlled towards the coil 1, which has the effect of applying the wire 2 to the needle 8.

Then the needle 8 is moved to its initial position (see FIG. 9). The hook 9 of the needle 8 engages the thread 2 (see figure 7). The needle 8 therefore pulls the thread backwards.

Before the thread 2 engages in the spool 1, the needle 8 is made to turn a quarter of a turn on itself (see arrow F in FIG. 9), which allows the thread to be locked relative to needle 8.

During its subsequent stroke, the needle 8 pulls the wire 2 between the windings of the wire in the corner 10 of the spool in order to hold it captive in this corner 10, as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11.

The device and the method which have just been described therefore make it possible to effectively fix the end of the wire 2 to the coil, without the use of a label capable of being torn off during handling.

Of course, the coils can then be subject to labeling or marking having no function of fixing the wire.

The nozzle 6 could include a movable finger in the slot 11 to move the wire 2 towards the needle 8.

Furthermore, the device could be completed by a device for automatically cutting the end of the wire 2 projecting from the coil and / or by a device for making a knot in said end.
