Definitions

  • the invention relates to a box-shaped, injection-molded plastic container, in particular a storage and transport box, in which a bottom having a flat top is stabilized on the underside by stiffening ribs, and in which flat webs extending along the bottom edge parallel to the bottom plane extend transversely stiffening ribs extending to the bottom edge are supported at a distance below the floor level, and form the standing surfaces of the container, the free spaces delimited pocket-like between the bottom underside, the flat web top and the transverse stiffening ribs being designed to be completely open at the bottom edge.
  • Box-shaped containers of this type made of plastic have already become known from DE-GM 81 37 907 and in particular DE-GM 89 03 430.
  • the box-shaped containers of this type not only have the advantage that their entire floor area for the goods to be stored offers a flat support surface, but also that in the area of the flat webs or baseboards located below the floor a perfect support surface for the box-shaped containers itself is created, which ensures a high level of stability regardless of whether they are loaded or unloaded.
  • a disadvantage of the known type of box-shaped containers explained above has been that they cannot be used wherever it is important to keep them permanently in a hygienically perfect condition. This is the case, for example, in the food industry, where the box-shaped containers have to be subjected to regular cleaning processes with washing liquids.
  • the invention has for its object to improve box-shaped containers of the type mentioned in such a way that they can be cleaned at all points safely and without cumbersome additional manipulations in a practical manner using simple plastic injection molds.
  • This object is basically achieved according to the invention in that the inward bounding edges of the flat webs forming the standing surfaces have a distance from the underside that runs parallel to them Have floor stiffening ribs and form passages open downwards in the pocket-like free spaces (see characterizing part of claim 1).
  • the sequence of cleaning operations according to the invention is further favored by the fact that the stiffening ribs running parallel to the bounding edges pointing inward towards the underside have a profile height which is less than the clear distance between the flat webs and the underside of the floor.
  • the passages of the free spaces formed at a distance from the floor edge thus also lead beyond the stiffening ribs located on the underside of the floor.
  • the flat webs have an inclination position which rises slightly from their outer boundary edge to the inner boundary edge with respect to the floor plane.
  • This measure not only ensures smooth and vibration-free running of the box-shaped containers on transport tracks, in particular roller conveyors, but also ensures that the box-shaped containers are used as a standing surface when fully loaded serving flat webs can at best be deformed into an approximately horizontal position, in which they then form a flat support layer.
  • this measure also enables the mold cores to be pulled easily during the production of the box-shaped containers.
  • the width of the flat webs is also advantageous to dimension the width of the flat webs to be greater than the distance between the stiffening ribs, preferably in such a way that the width corresponds to at least twice this distance.
  • the floor stiffening ribs are provided in the floor central area with a grid-like arrangement and have a profile height that decreases in the direction towards the floor center.
  • a spacing which decreases towards the center of the floor can also be provided between the stiffening ribs which cross like a grid.
  • the flat webs extend frame-like along the longitudinal and transverse edges of the base.
  • the flat webs only extend along the longitudinal edges of the floor.
  • the invention also proposes to roughen the underside of the flat webs, e.g. B. corrugations, because it has been shown that on the one hand better adhesion of the standing surface formed by the flat webs on the storage and transport means is achieved, but on the other hand - surprisingly - an improved smoothness of the box-shaped containers on the transport means which leads to a reduction in transport noise.
  • the box-shaped container 1 shown in Fig. 1 as an embodiment is made as an injection molded part made of plastic. It is primarily used as a storage and transport box for use in racking systems and is particularly suitable for use in racking systems to which conveyor routes are assigned in addition to automatic loading and unloading systems.
  • box-shaped container 1 does not significantly depend on the arrangement and design of its longitudinal walls 2 and transverse walls 3, but rather on special training measures in the area of the container bottom 4 and with regard to further functional parts or training measures that are based on Connect to the bottom of this tank bottom 4.
  • the following description therefore primarily relates to box-shaped containers 1, in which longitudinal walls 2 and transverse walls 3 adjoin the container bottom 4 in one piece.
  • the training measures explained in this connection can also readily occur on trays, pallets or similar storage and transport means, which can be manufactured as injection molded plastic parts.
  • the container bottom 4 of the box-shaped container 1 is flat on its upper side, while it is stabilized on the underside by longitudinal stiffening ribs 5 and transverse stiffening ribs 6, which are made in one piece with it.
  • each through vertical stiffening ribs 9 running transversely to the bottom edge 7 at a distance below the bottom plane are supported.
  • the flat webs 8 and the stiffening ribs 9 are integrally formed with the box-shaped container 1 or the container bottom 4, the stiffening ribs 9 each connecting at right angles to the outer stiffening ribs 5 and 6, which are parallel to the longitudinal walls 2 and the transverse walls 3 extend the box-shaped container.
  • the flat webs 8 form a frame with one another, which is provided such that the outer boundary edges 10 of the flat webs assume a recessed position relative to the bottom edge 7, as is clearly shown in FIG. 2 can be seen.
  • the inward bounding edges 11 of the flat webs 8, on the other hand, are placed such that they are each at a distance 12 from the outer stiffening ribs 5 and 6 running parallel to them and provided on the underside of the container bottom 4.
  • the flat webs 8 together form the standing surfaces of the box-shaped container 1 and, together with the transverse reinforcing ribs 9 and the underside of the container base 4, they define a plurality of pocket-like free spaces 13, each lying side by side are provided.
  • pocket-like free spaces 13 are provided, both along the longitudinal boundary of the bottom edge 7 and along the transverse boundary thereof.
  • such pocket-like free spaces 13 are located only in the area of the longitudinal boundary of the bottom edge 7.
  • Each pocket-like delimited free space 13 is provided at its outer end with an opening 14 on the bottom edge and furthermore has at its inner end a downwardly open passage 15, which is defined by the distance 12 between the inner boundary edge 11 and the adjacent stiffening rib 5 or 6 of the bottom 4 is present.
  • the design of the pocket-like free spaces 13, which is open at both ends, ensures that they can be rinsed with washing liquid in an optimal manner and consequently residues fixed therein can be safely removed.
  • the flat webs 8 have an inclination position which rises slightly from their outer boundary edge 10 to the inner boundary edge 11 with respect to the ground plane.
  • the angle of inclination can be between 1 and 2 °, preferably 1.5 °.
  • This configuration contributes to the fact that even when storing heavy goods in the box-shaped container 1, a perfect footprint for the box-shaped container 1 is maintained.
  • the container bottom 4 can bend until the flat webs 8 reach a horizontal position. It has proven to be advantageous if the distance between the stiffening ribs 9 directed transversely to the bottom edge 7 is made smaller than the usual spacing between successive rollers of a roller conveyor serving as a means of transport. Because of the small distance between the stiffening ribs 9, the flat webs 8 cannot then undesirably bend transversely to their plane. A smooth running of the box-shaped containers 1 over the roller conveyors used as a means of transport is therefore ensured.
  • the width of the flat webs 8 is preferably larger than the distance between the stiffening ribs 9. It has proven to be advantageous if the width of the flat webs 8 is at least twice as large is made large, such as the distance between two adjacent stiffening ribs 9.
  • FIGS. 1, 3 and 4 It also shows that they can also have a profile height that decreases in the direction of the center of the floor.
  • a spacing which decreases towards the center of the floor is also provided between the stiffening ribs 5 and 6, which cross like a lattice.
  • the arrangement of the bottom reinforcing ribs 5 and 6 is made such that the distance between the transverse reinforcing ribs 6 decreases in the direction of the center of the bottom, while it increases in the case of the longitudinal bottom reinforcing ribs 5.
  • a box-shaped container 1 of the type shown in FIG. 5 is particularly suitable for use where rack systems work together with loading and unloading devices which operate on the principle of the so-called drawing technique.
