- the immersion depth of the balustrade glass pane Due to the transverse arrangement of the axis 24 above the central web 37, it is advantageous to determine the immersion depth of the balustrade glass pane to keep low in the corresponding central groove 46 of the guide profile 12. Due to the small insertion depth, the desired elegant flat construction of the handrail 14 on the balustrade glass pane 16 can be realized. In this context, it is particularly favorable that if - for whatever reason - an even greater insertion depth of the balustrade glass pane 16 into the central groove 46 is desired, this with the same elegance through an even greater inclination of the groove bases 43 and 45 of the grooves 42 and 44 can be realized. In this case, an even reduced tendency to tilt of umbrellas, sticks or the like which may have been accidentally inserted under the handrail can be realized.
- the rollers 20 and 22 each have inner bearing rings 50 and outer bearing rings 52.
- the inner bearing rings 50 have a somewhat larger width, so that they can be supported laterally on the guide profile 12 and the support strip 18 on both sides of the grooves 42 and 44, respectively.
- the outer bearing rings 52 can run freely with ball bearings and allow the handrail 14 to roll.
- a round link plate bearing 34 consists of the two lateral round links 38 and 40 and the central round link 36.
- the lateral round link 38 is separated from the central round link 36 by a punch 54
- the lateral round link 40 is separated from the central round link 36 a punch 56 separated.
- a correspondingly cut strip of deep-drawn sheet metal is first provided with the equally spaced punchings 54 and 56, and then the desired round profile is formed using a deep-drawing tool or a small press.
- the length of the deep-drawn sheet is shortened, but without creating any particular internal stresses. Accordingly stress relief annealing is not required.
- the round link bearings 34 designed in this way are then fitted with axles 24, on which a roller 20 or 22 is possibly already attached on one side.
- the inner bearing shells 50 have only a very slight oversize with respect to the axis 24, so that the roller 20 and 22 which has been plugged in once does not fall off, but can be pulled off with the appropriate effort.
- FIG 3 shows the manner in which the round plates 36 on the one hand and 38 and 40 on the other hand each form a round plate bearing 34. It can be seen that the surface covered by the round tabs in the lateral projection is almost circular and is well suited for accommodating the cylindrical axes.
- the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment.
- This configuration enables the use of narrow inner bearing shells 50, so that standard ball bearings are used as rollers 20, 22.
- a support strip according to the invention 18 not limited to balustrade heads.
- corresponding support strips can be used over the entire course of the escalator or the moving walk - with customized roller distribution - and can even be used on curved escalators.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a handrail guide for escalators and moving walks, according to the preamble of claim 1.
From DE 38 43 090 A1 an escalator or moving walk with a generic handrail guide is known, in which radial ball bearings are supported on a guide profile for the handrail via continuous axes. The axis ends essentially flush with the side surface of the guide profile. In order to keep them captive, the axis can be welded there, which requires a correspondingly complex post-processing. If the axle is not welded, there is the risk, on the one hand, that due to the vibrations occurring on escalators, the axle slips sideways and, on the other hand, that the handrail, which is usually made of softer elastomer material, is at risk of damage, or at least, at the passage points of the axles there the friction is increased, especially if the relevant handrail guides are provided on the balustrade heads.
Especially in the area of the balustrade heads, the handrail of the escalator or moving walk must be well guided. On the one hand, the tension to be introduced into the handrail should be applied evenly. On the other hand, the flexing work of the handrail specified by the handrail guidance should not be increased further if possible by the rollers.
Accordingly, it has been proposed to store a plurality of castors in the guide profile evenly distributed on welded axes for a handrail guide, one at a time. This type of mounting has individual impellers, which are mounted alternately in the left or right U-shaped groove of the guide profile via the extension of the balustrade head.
Such a handrail guide is quite complex to manufacture. Nevertheless, repairs to the individual rollers are required on a case-by-case basis, and these are also difficult to carry out.
In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a handrail guide according to the preamble of claim 1, which combines less susceptibility to repair with less repair work, although the heating of the handrail does not increase at least.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch Anspruch 1 gelöst. Vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen. This object is achieved by claim 1. Advantageous further developments result from the subclaims.
A particular advantage of the handrail guide according to the invention is the easy assembly and interchangeability of the rollers. With the support strip according to the invention, two rollers can each be supported on an axis with sufficient stability, the fact that the guide profile is essentially U-shaped or W-shaped anyway due to the system can be advantageously used. The axis or the support strip is automatically held laterally in the guide profile and supports the handrail in the vertical direction, resting on the central web.
The symmetrical support of the handrail by the rollers is particularly favorable; in this way, a transverse walk, as might occur due to excessive handrail tension in the proposed solution, is reliably avoided.
It was surprisingly found that the service life of the rollers was improved. This is attributed to the fact that the rollers in the symmetrical arrangement according to the invention essentially only have to absorb radial loads, while in the asymmetrical arrangement with rollers arranged alternately in the left and right U-shaped grooves, shear forces are also obviously introduced, for the absorption of which the usual Ball bearings used are less suitable.
However, it goes without saying that instead of the known ball bearings, other roller bearings can also be used as roller bearings.
According to the invention, it is particularly expedient that the repair of a roller, which may occur, causes considerably less effort than previously.
It is only necessary to remove the support strip and to pull the relevant roller, which essentially consists of the associated ball bearing, from the axis and then reinsert the support strip according to the invention.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the support strip is made of a flat band, which can consist, for example, of flat steel, deep-drawn sheet metal or similar material.
To create the preferred round-link bearings, cuts or punchings running in the longitudinal direction of the band are made to be aligned parallel to one another, and then the middle band web thus formed is bent downward to the lower round plate and the two outer band webs formed in this way are bent upward to the two lateral round plates . In the side view, there is approximately a circular opening into which the axle for the rollers can be inserted, a certain clamping effect being favorable.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the support strip according to the invention is set somewhat under tension during assembly in the guide profile, so that the round link bearings each clamp the axes.
In an alternative embodiment of the roller bearing, the support strip is angled in a U-shape and has corresponding bores on its side legs for receiving the roller axles.
Die inneren Lagerschalen der verwendeten Wälzlager stützen dann wiederum an ihrer dem Stützstreifen zugewandten Seite diesen seitlich ab.In the two mentioned configurations of the support strip according to the invention, the lateral support of the axle for the rollers is carried out on the inside on the outer legs of the W-shaped guide profile. The inner bearing shells of the roller bearings used then in turn support them laterally on their side facing the support strip.
It is understood that the support strip, if desired, always centered on the guide profile with centering devices can be held. To achieve the desired centering, fasteners such as screw connections can be used, for example, or the central web of the guide profile can be provided with punched-out and erectable tabs which can enter corresponding centering openings in the support strip.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided to attach the support strip according to the invention only in the area of the balustrade head and to fasten it there at the end, for example by means of corresponding screw connections. It is also advantageous here to provide the arrangement of the rollers essentially uniformly and to thin out the number of rollers per unit of length towards the end of the balustrade head. This allows a particularly favorable adaptation to the load conditions that occur.

The
According to the invention, a
The essentially conventionally designed
The
The round bracket bearing 34 has a
At the center web 37 of the guide profile 12 there are laterally U-shaped
Due to the transverse arrangement of the
As can be seen from FIG. 1, the
The larger width of the bearing rings 50 compared to the bearing rings 52 can also be seen in FIG. 2. In the manner shown, a round link plate bearing 34 consists of the two lateral round links 38 and 40 and the
The
It is understood that the invention is not limited to the illustrated embodiment. For example, in a modification of the illustrated embodiment, it is possible to support only the
It is also understood that instead of the embodiment shown with an underlying, i.e. the
Furthermore, the use of a support strip according to the
