Fig. 1 zeigt als Prinzipskizze einen Handlaufführungsbereich 1, der - nicht erkennbar - im Umlenkbereich eines Handlaufes 2 vorgesehen sein soll. Dargestellt ist eine Balustrade 3, mit welcher ein in diesem Beispiel aus Aluminium bestehendes Handlaufführungselement 4 durch Kleben verbunden ist. Das Handlaufführungselement 4 ist im Querschnitt W-förmig ausgebildet und weist in seinem mittleren Teil 5 zwei Arretierungselemente 6, 7 auf, die sich in Richtung des Handlaufes 2 erstrecken. Vom Handlaufführungselement 4 umschlossen ist ein biegsames Element 8, das in den folgenden Figuren näher beschrieben wird. Das biegsame Element 8 ist im Querschnitt etwa U-förmig ausgebildet und beinhaltet zwei seitliche Stege 9, 10 sowie einen diese beiden Stege 9, 10 miteinander verbindenden mittleren Steg 11. Letzterer weist angeformte Verdickungen 12, 13 auf, die dergestalt geformt sind, daß eine lösbare Steckverbindung (Klipverbindung) mit den Arretierungselementen 6, 7 eingegangen werden kann. An den seitlichen Stegen 9, 10 sind verdickte Ansätze 14, 15 angeformt, die zur Bildung elastischer Aufnahmebereiche 16, 17 mit von außen nach innen verlaufenden Ausnehmungen 18, 19 versehen sind. Auf diese elastischen Bereiche 16, 17 werden Wälzlager 20, 21 aufgesteckt. Erfindungsgemäß überdeckt die Projektionsfläche der Lagerinnendurchmesser die Balustradenfläche, so daß - ohne die Verwendung bekannter mechanischer Achsen - eine gegenüber dem St. d. T. reduzierte Bauhöhe des gesamten Handlaufführungsbereiches 1 realisiert werden kann.
