Claims (19)

  1. Device for guiding a hand rail (2), in particular in the reversing area of an escalator or moving pavement, having a balustrade (3), in particular made of transparent material, the portion of which facing the hand rail (2) is provided with a hand rail profile (4), which in turn cooperates with a flexible element (8) receiving at least one rolling bearing (20, 21), in particular in the reversing area, characterized in that the projected area of the inner diameter of the bearings covers the balustrade area.
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the flexible element (8) has the shape of a strip with ear shaped dents (25).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the lateral webs (9, 10) of the dents (25) for receiving the rolling bearings (20, 21) have thickened shoulders (14, 15).
  4. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 3, characterized in that the rolling bearings (20, 21) can be slid onto the shoulders (14, 15) and be fixed there.
  5. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 4, characterized in that the shoulders (14, 15) are provided with pocket hole like recesses (18, 19) running from outside towards the interior.
  6. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 5, characterized by approximately claw like, eventually revolving profiles (29, 30) in the free end portion (27, 28) of the shoulders (14, 15).
  7. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 6, characterized in that the web (11) connecting the lateral webs (9, 10) to each other is provided with thickened portions (12, 13) extending in the direction of the hand rail guiding profile (4).
  8. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 7, characterized in that the thickened portions (12, 13) have a cross section, such that they can be brought into active relation with corresponding elements (6, 7) of the hand rail guiding profile (4) in form of a clip connection.
  9. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 8, characterized in that the imaginary centre line (22, 23) of the shoulders (14, 15) is approximately on the level of the top edge (24) of the balustrade.
  10. Device according to one of the claims 1 through 9, characterized in that the flexible element (8) is made of plastic.
  11. Flexible, strip shaped element having approximately ear shaped dents (25), which are provided with lateral shoulders (14, 15) for receiving rolling bearings (20, 21).
  12. Flexible element according to claim 11, characterized in that the shoulders (14, 15) are provided with recesses (18, 19) extending in the direction of the lateral webs (9, 10).
  13. Flexible element according to claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the cross section of the shoulders (14, 15) increases from outside towards inside.
  14. Flexible element according to one of the claims 11 through 13, characterized in that approximately claw like, eventually revolving profiles (29, 30) are provided in the area of the free ends (27, 28) of the shoulders (14, 15) for locking the rolling bearings (20, 21).
  15. Flexible element according to one of the claims 11 through 14 having several thickened portions (12, 13) provided in the area of the web (11), which interconnects the lateral webs (9, 10), and running approximately in parallel to the lateral webs (9, 10).
  16. Flexible element according to one of the claims 11 through 15, characterized in that the thickened portions (12, 13) are located in the inner area of the web (11).
  17. Flexible element according to one of the claims 11 through 16, characterized in that the cross section of the thickened portions (12, 13) is provided, such that a sort of clip connection can be realized with corresponding components (4).
  18. Flexible element according to one of the claims 11 through 17 for the use in, in particular, the reversing area of a hand rail (2) of an escalator or a moving pavement.
  19. Flexible element according to claim 18, characterized by the use with a hand rail guiding element (4), which is in active relation with a balustrade (3) of the escalator or moving pavement.
