Die Fig. 1 und 2 zeigen angedeutete Balustraden köpfe 1 einer Rolltreppe oder eines Rollsteiges. Erkennbar ist ein Balustradenprofil 2, das zur Aufnahme eines mit einem Keil 3 versehenen, im Querschnitt etwa einem liegenden C entsprechenden Handlaufes 4 dient. Der Keil 3 erstreckt sich mit vorgebbarem Abstand zur zugeordneten Oberfläche 5 des Balustradenprofiles 2, so daß Gleitreibung im Zusammenwirken mit der genannten Oberfläche 5 nicht gegeben ist. Das Balustradenprofil 2 weist Schenkel 6, 7 auf, die zumindest bis zu den abgebogenen Endbereichen 8, 9 des Handlaufes 4 geführt sind. Beiderseits des Keiles 3 sind balustradenprofilseitig Führungselemente 10, 11 vorgesehen, die mit entsprechenden Ausnehmungen bzw. Rillen 12, 13 zur Aufnahme von Kugeln 14, 15 versehen sind. Die Kugeln 14, 15, die nach Art einer Kugelumlauflenkung im Bereich des jeweiligen Führungselementes 10, 11 vorgesehen sind, liegen somit an der Innenfläche 16 des Handlaufes 4 an, so daß eine kombinierte Gleit-Rollreibung gegeben ist und der Keil 3 selber keiner Gleitreibung mehr unterliegt.
