Description

The invention relates to a water tank for a heat exchanger.

From DE-B 23 53 362 a water box is known, the receiving connector is designed in length in such a way that it can serve as a sealing surface for the seal arranged on the inserted end of the hose connector. The latching device is essentially formed in that latching tongues are formed on the free end section of the inserted hose connector, which engage behind corresponding latches at the end of the connector. A sufficient axial securing of the hose connector on the water box is thus achieved, but there is no sufficiently rigid connection between the water box and the hose connector. For example, low transverse forces acting on the hose connection piece can already lead to an inclined position of the hose connection piece with respect to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving piece, which can result in leakages. Since the water box is made of plastic, there is also a risk of the hose connection piece breaking out or of an undesired deformation of the receptacle pipe if the hose connection piece is extremely inclined.

From FR-A 2 551 852 a water box with a receptacle is known in which a hose connection piece can be mounted in the manner of a bayonet connection. To secure the position, it is provided to arrange a radial tongue on the hose connector, which determines the rotational position secures the connecting piece by locking engagement in a receiving part which is provided on the receiving port. In addition to an axial plug-in, a rotary movement of approximately 90 ° is required for the final assembly and securing of the connecting piece, which leads to installation difficulties in the case of a water hose preassembled on the connecting piece.

The invention has for its object to form the connection between a hose connector and a water box with great rigidity of the connection and easy installation according to the principle of a plug-in connection.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

The locking device arranged radially on the outside enables long axial guidance for the hose connecting piece, whereby a rigid connection is achieved. In the insertion direction, the female part and the male part engage in a rotationally fixed manner in the circumferential direction, so that the rotational position of the female part and male part is fixed at the beginning of the male operation and is not changed for latching between female part and male part. The axial locking is done by the locking device, which is effective towards the end of the insertion path, so that then a captive, non-rotatable hold is given. The receiving part and the insert part can be positively locked together in different, predeterminable rotational positions. A preselected installation position of a particularly angled hose connector does not change for the final assembly.

In a further development of the invention it is provided that the part of the latching device arranged on the hose connector extends beyond the receiving connector in the engaged state of the hose connector, whereby a short axial length is achieved.

The receiving part of the locking device is advantageously delimited by a ring lying coaxially to the connection piece, which is held on the connection piece via radial webs. The ring has between two webs a circumferentially extending, radially inward locking lug, the locking plane - seen in the direction of insertion - is behind the webs. The insertion end of the locking device is formed by at least one axially extending tongue, which carries a radially outwardly projecting locking cam and bulges coaxially in the circumferential direction of the connecting piece. If the latching cam of the tongue engages behind the latching lug of the ring, the tongue lies between two webs in the circumferential direction, as a result of which positive locking against rotation is achieved.

The hose connector 1 shown in Fig. 1 is designed as an elbow. It has a longer leg 101 and a shorter leg 102. The free end of the shorter leg shows a fastening section 110 for a water hose. The longer leg 101 is provided for insertion into a receiving socket 2 of a water box 3, shown schematically in FIG. 2, of a heat exchanger (not shown in more detail). For easier insertion into the receptacle 2, the longer leg 101 is slightly tapered towards its free end by reducing the wall thickness.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the receiving part 4 of a latching device 6 (FIG. 5) is arranged radially on the outside of the hose connecting piece 1 and the insertion part 5 of the latching device 6 is arranged radially on the outside of the receiving port 2. The receiving part 4 with the hose connection piece 1 and the plug-in part 5 with the receiving piece 2 are advantageously in one piece, preferably made of plastic. It may be expedient to arrange the receiving part on the connecting piece 2 and the insert part on the hose connecting piece 1.

The free end portion 7 of the receptacle 2 protruding from the water box 3 is formed shortly before its end face 8 with a reduced outer diameter, so that an annular shoulder 9 results. In front of the annular shoulder 9 is a sealing ring 10, which is provided as an O-ring in the exemplary embodiment shown and which produces the liquid-tight seal between the hose connection piece 1 and the receiving piece 2.

The stepped end section 7 is coaxially surrounded by a ring 11 formed from axially extending tongues 12, the tongue ring 11 connecting in one piece to the receiving connector 2 via a radial ring flange 13 (FIGS. 2, 2a). In the exemplary embodiment shown, four insertion tongues 12 are formed evenly distributed over the circumference (FIG. 4), which are selected in the circumferential direction and are each at a distance u from one another. At its free end, each tongue 12 has a radially outwardly extending latching cam 14, which advantageously extends in the circumferential direction over the entire width Z of a tongue 12. As shown in FIG. 2a, the free spaces 12a do not extend between two tongues 12 over their entire axial length, so that the tongues form a common coaxial section in their foot regions, which is connected to the annular flange 13.

In the exemplary embodiment shown, the coaxial tongue ring 11 delimits an annular space 15 with the end section 7, which has a stepped cross section corresponding to the stepped end section 7 (FIG. 2) and is open to the end face 8 of the receiving connector 2.

The longer leg 101 of the hose connector 1 carries at the socket kink an integrally formed ring wall 20, which is coaxial to the socket and forms with this an approximately U-shaped, open to the free end of the leg receiving space 21 for the end portion 7 of the receptacle 2. Corresponding to the stepped outer diameter of the end section 7, the receiving space 21 is stepped in diameter, so that an annular shoulder 22 is formed on the inside of the annular wall 20 facing the socket jacket.

On the outside of the annular wall 20, radial webs 23 are arranged in the circumferential direction with the same spacing 26 from one another and hold a ring 24 delimiting the receiving part 4 of the latching device 6. The ring extends approximately over half the axial length of the ring wall 20 and ends approximately at its free end face.

Die durch die Rastnasen 25 bestimmte Rastebene 30 liegt - in Einsteckrichtung gesehen - hinter den Stegen 23.Between each of two webs 23, which are preferably at an angular distance 26 of 90 ° to one another in the circumferential direction, the ring 24 has a locking lug 25 projecting radially inwards. As shown in FIG. 3, the catch 25 extends only over a part of the angular distance 26; the locking lug 25 lies exactly in the middle between two webs 23. The locking level 30 determined by the locking lugs 25 lies - seen in the direction of insertion - behind the webs 23.

As shown in FIG. 3 in particular, two adjacent webs 23, the ring 24 and the ring wall 20 each delimit a receiving field 27. Four receiving fields 27 are provided on the receiving part 4 over the circumference, corresponding to the four tongues of the insertion part 5, the width Z the tongues 12 of the width B of the receiving fields 27 is adapted. Due to the spatial arrangement of the webs 23 over the The circumference of the ring wall 20, the width B of all the receiving fields 27 is the same; the width Z of the four tongues of the insertion part 5 is correspondingly the same. The locking device 6 can thus be locked in a rotationally fixed manner in four different rotational positions of the receiving part and the insert part. The non-rotatable connection results from the positive engagement of the tongues 12 between two webs 23.

As shown in FIG. 1 a, a U-shaped slot 105 is provided in the longer leg 101 between the receiving part 4 and the free end 103 of the leg 101 in the socket jacket 104, which slot is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the leg 101 and the opening of which is facing the receiving part 4 . The free end of the resulting tongue 106 in the wall of the hose connector 1 faces the end 103 of the leg 101 and is oriented in the longitudinal direction of the connector. This tongue 106 has a radially outwardly protruding nose 107, which advantageously extends over the entire width of the tongue 106.

As FIG. 5 shows, when the hose connection piece 1 is inserted into the receiving piece 2, the pre-locking lug 107 engages on the inside end face 19 of the receiving piece 2 before the latching device 6 engages. In this way, the hose connector 1 is held captive on the water tank 3, so that the hose connector 1 can be preassembled and the final position of the angled hose connector 1 is only determined during final assembly by latching the locking device 6. The axial distance A of the locking lug 107 from the locking lug 25 of the receiving part 4 therefore corresponds at least to the length L of the receiving connector 2 plus an idle path W. The free travel W is selected so that when the latching nose 107 is engaged, the insertion part 5 is already partially retracted axially in the receiving part 4, but without latching in the receiving part 4. The free travel W is advantageously dimensioned such that the sealing ring 10 has just just entered the receiving space 21.

Vorteilhaft bildet der Boden des Aufnahmeraums 21 einen Anschlag 28 für die Stirnseite 8 des Endabschnitts 7; entsprechend kann der Boden 16 des Ringraums 15 einen Axialanschlag für die Stirnseite 29 der Ringwand 20 bilden.6 shows the hose connector 1 which is locked on the water box 3 and on the fastening section 110 of which a water hose 111 is fixed. In the locked state shown in FIG. 6, the hose connection piece 1 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the receiving piece 2, so that the position of the receiving piece corresponding to the locked rotating position is secured. In this latched position of the hose connector 1, the end section 7 is held approximately without play in the receiving space 21, the sealing ring 10 being axially pressed between the ring shoulders 9 and 22. The annular wall 20 of the receiving part 4 is at the same time preferably free of play in the annular space 15 of the plug-in part 5, so that a very rigid connection is achieved in addition to the axial lock and the anti-rotation lock. The bottom of the receiving space 21 advantageously forms a stop 28 for the end face 8 of the end section 7; Accordingly, the bottom 16 of the annular space 15 can form an axial stop for the end face 29 of the annular wall 20.

Since the parts 4 and 5 forming the latching device are arranged radially on the outside of the connecting pieces 1 and 2, the inserted leg 101 of the hose connecting piece can be kept free of play over a large axial length in the receiving piece 2. This long guide results in a particularly rigid connection.

In an advantageous development of the invention, the leg 101 of the hose connector is extended such that its free end 103 lies in the area of an outlet connector 200. There is thus a favorable influencing of the flow in the manner of an ejector effect, since the outlet connection 200 of the water box 3 is connected to the suction connection of a pump, not shown, so that the liquid flowing past the free end 103 of the hose connection connection 1 creates a suction effect through which the Suction connection piece cooling water is conveyed from the expansion tank into the cooling circuit.
