Vielfach verwendet werden Wandbauplatten und Gipsdielen zur Herstellung leichter Trennwände sowie Gipskartonplatten, die zur Verkleidung von Wänden und Decken sowie als Putzträger dienen. Gelochte Deckenplatten dienen der Nachhallregulierung, aber auch Belüftungszwecken.
