Definitions
- the invention relates to a pressure atomizer with an airtight sealable by a spray head pressure container according to the type specified by the preamble of claim 1.
- the spray head 1 is screwed to the pressure vessel 3 via a screw cap 2 formed in one piece.
- the spray head 1 has an atomizing nozzle 4 which can be manipulated by means of a release lever 5 in order to expel a fluid with which the pressure container 3 is filled when the spray head 1 is unscrewed, under the action of an overpressure reproducibly generated in the pressure container.
- the generation of the excess pressure in the pressure vessel is made possible in the known pressure atomizers by means of an integrated piston air pump 6.
- the piston air pump is formed with a cylinder tube 7 and with a piston part 9 which can be moved along this cylinder tube by means of a piston rod 8 and which seals a pressure chamber 11 of the cylinder tube against an air channel 12 with a piston ring 10.
- the piston part 9 screwed directly to the piston rod 8 accommodates the valve piece 13 of a safety valve in an axial bore designed as a spring chamber, which is biased by a compression spring 14 arranged in the spring chamber against the pump pressure generated in the pressure chamber 11 during the pressure stroke of the piston air pump.
- This pump pressure is passed through a filling pressure check valve 15 arranged at the end of the cylinder tube 7 into the pressure vessel 3 until it is in the pressure vessel has set a predetermined positive pressure. If this predetermined overpressure is reached, then with each further actuation of the piston air pump a pressure limitation is obtained through the intermediary of the safety valve, in which case the valve piece 13 releases a connection of the pressure chamber 11 via a connection opening 16 of the piston part 9 to the air duct 12, which via a a guide bushing for the piston rod 8 formed ventilation bore 17 is vented.
- the release lever 5 coupled to the atomizing nozzle 4 is actuated, then the fluid filled in the pressure container is pressed under the influence of the excess pressure into a suction hose 18 and expelled when the atomizing nozzle is open.
- the invention characterized by the claims solves the problem of designing a pressure atomizer of the type specified in such a way that the reproducible generation of the excess pressure in the pressure vessel is also possible with the connection of a pressure source external to the vessel.
- the advantages that can be achieved with the pressure atomizer according to the invention are essentially that, with the possibility of maintaining the design principle of an integrated piston air pump, an application area that is particularly interesting for larger pressure vessels with a correspondingly larger filling volume is now opened wherever pressure sources to be used for a container connection are available stand. Compressed air and other pressure media can also be used to generate the excess pressure, in that the pressure atomizer has a design of its valve device for this purpose, which enables a simple and at the same time optimal adaptation to the most varied specifications on the production side and ensures uncomplicated handling on the user side.
- the design of the pressure atomizer according to the invention to enable retrofitting between an atomizer with an integrated piston air pump and a connection option for a pressure source external to the container and an embodiment for which only the connection option to such a pressure source external to the container is provided, with only a few spare parts.
- the particular advantage for both variants can still be seen in the possibility that the previously known embodiment of such a pressure atomizer with only one integrated piston air pump requires only minimal adaptations so that this embodiment can also be kept unchanged with further spare parts .
- the pressure atomizer shown in FIG. 1 with an integrated piston air pump has the known design described in more detail in the introduction. It can be assumed that with a container volume of, for example, 1.5 liters, the pressure container 3 should have a maximum filling volume of approximately 1.3 liters, in order to ensure uniform, constant atomization of the filled fluid under an excess pressure of approximately 4 bar that can be produced with the integrated piston air pump to reach.
- the fineness of the atomization which is obtained with the atomizer nozzle 4 after being released by the release lever 5 of the spray head 1, can be regulated with a nozzle nut 19 which is screwed onto the end of the atomizer tube 20.
- the known design principle with an integrated piston air pump is essentially only with one exception Maintain unchanged that a modified valve device 21 of the design shown in FIG. 5 is used for an additional connection possibility of a pressure source external to the container for generating the excess pressure in the pressure container 3.
- the components adopted from the known pressure atomizer which are therefore designated by the same reference numerals, are, in addition to the pressure vessel 3 and the spray head 1 screwed to the atomizer nozzle 4, the cylinder tube 7 with the filling pressure check valve 15 at its end projecting into the pressure vessel.
- the valve device 21 also uses a piston part 22, which is coaxial with the cylinder tube 7, but of a modified design, which is provided in accordance with the arrangement of a comparable valve piece 23, which is biased by a compression spring 25 accommodated in a first spring chamber 24 against the pressure in the Pressure stroke of the piston air pump is also generated in accordance with a pressure chamber 26.
- FIG. 2 shows the position of the piston part 22 at the beginning of the suction stroke, also taken into account for the representation of FIG. 5, during which the pressure chamber 26 experiences the increase in volume that can be derived from the comparison of FIG. 3, during this increase in volume via the central ventilation bore 17 of the spray head 1 and air is drawn into the pressure chamber 26 with a flow around the piston ring 10 via the air duct 12.
- the amount of air sucked into the pressure chamber 26, on the other hand, is compressed to a higher pressure value during the pressure stroke of the piston air pump, that is to say when the piston part 22 is moved from the position shown in FIG. 3 along the cylinder tube 7 to the position shown in FIG. 2 by the pressure chamber 26 through the piston ring 10 the air duct 12 is sealed.
- the opening pressure for the filling pressure check valve 15 is reached in the pressure chamber 26, the amount of air trapped in the pressure chamber is pushed out into the pressure vessel 3.
- the filling pressure check valve 15 is closed again.
- the spring chamber 24 provided for receiving the compression spring 25 for the valve piece 23 of the overpressure safety valve 28 is offset in relation to the piston part 22.
- the spring chamber 24 is enlarged by a tubular extension 29 of the piston part 22 protruding into the pressure chamber 26, with which a valve cap 30 receiving the valve piece 23 is screwed.
- the valve seat for the valve piece 23 is formed with a central bore 31 in the valve cap 30.
- a second spring chamber 32 is formed coaxially to the piston part, which receives a second pressure spring 33 with which a second valve piece 34 of a second filling pressure check valve 35 is pretensioned.
- the valve seat for this second valve piece 34 is formed with a sleeve-shaped connecting piece 36 screwed to the piston part 22, which provides a connection possibility for an extension tube 37.
- the second spring chamber 32 is connected to the pressure chamber 26 via an axially parallel connection bore 38, so that whenever the second valve piece 34 is pushed away from its valve seat against the force of the second pressure spring 33, there is a direct pressure connection to the pressure vessel 3, as soon as the first filling pressure check valve 15 is opened with the pressure generated in the pressure chamber 26.
- the piston rod of the integrated piston air pump which is axially guided in the central ventilation bore 17 of the spray head 1, is formed with the extension tube 37.
- the extension tube 37, or the piston rod thus formed for moving the piston part 22 along the cylinder tube 27, is provided with a handle part 39 which has a connecting nipple 40 for a pressure source external to the container. If, for example, compressed air is fed via this connecting nipple 40 into the extension tube 37 screwed to the connecting piece 36 of the piston part 22, then the second filling pressure check valve 35 is opened and, with the intermediary of the pressure chamber 26, the first filling pressure check valve 15, which is connected to the in the pressure vessel 3 protruding end of the cylinder tube 7 is arranged.
- a direct connection of a connecting nipple 41 to the connecting piece 36 of the otherwise identical valve device 21 is provided.
- the connecting nipple 41 like the connecting nipple 40 of the pressure atomizer according to FIG. 2, is again provided for the connection possibility of a pressure source external to the container, in order to be able to reproducibly generate an excess pressure of a desired size by means of the valve device 21 in the pressure container 3.
- the integration of an additional piston air pump is dispensed with.
- the maximum overall length of the cylinder tube 7, which is only required for incorporating the piston air pump for a corresponding enlargement of the pressure chamber, can thus be reduced to a minimum value, in order to prevent the first filling pressure check valve 15 from being immersed in the filling quantity of the pressure container.

Description
The invention relates to a pressure atomizer with an airtight sealable by a spray head pressure container according to the type specified by the preamble of
In the hitherto known pressure atomizers of this type according to the sectional view shown in FIG. 1, the
The generation of the excess pressure in the pressure vessel is made possible in the known pressure atomizers by means of an integrated
The invention characterized by the claims solves the problem of designing a pressure atomizer of the type specified in such a way that the reproducible generation of the excess pressure in the pressure vessel is also possible with the connection of a pressure source external to the vessel.
The advantages that can be achieved with the pressure atomizer according to the invention are essentially that, with the possibility of maintaining the design principle of an integrated piston air pump, an application area that is particularly interesting for larger pressure vessels with a correspondingly larger filling volume is now opened wherever pressure sources to be used for a container connection are available stand. The pressure atomizer shown in FIG. 1 with an integrated piston air pump has the known design described in more detail in the introduction. It can be assumed that with a container volume of, for example, 1.5 liters, the
For the pressure atomizer according to the invention of the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the known design principle with an integrated piston air pump is essentially only with one exception Maintain unchanged that a modified
According to the enlarged representation in FIG. 5, the
In the end face of the
For the alternative embodiment of the pressure atomizer shown in FIG. 4, a direct connection of a connecting
