Definitions

  • the invention relates to an actuating device according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
  • Actuators of this type are known from FR-A-24 96 142 or DE-A-34 22 315 from the applicant. These allow an interruptible flushing of a water closet and thus an adjustment of the flushing water quantity to the respective case. Compared to the usual cistern without interruptible flushing, the consumption of fresh water can be considerably reduced. Since this is ecologically and economically sensible and advantageous, cisterns with interruptible flushing have found widespread use. Especially with ceramic cisterns However, there is now the difficulty that, due to the large dimensional tolerances customary in ceramic cisterns, the installation of such actuating devices is very complex. For example, two connecting rods each had to be cut to length for the actuating device according to DE-A-34 22 315 mentioned above.
  • DE-A 37 29 569 shows an actuating device which is the pneumatic equivalent to those according to DE-A-34 22 315 mentioned above.
  • the pusher here is a pneumatic line via which an upward or downward-acting bellows is actuated, depending on the position of a piston valve.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of providing an actuating device on the drain valve of a cistern of the type mentioned which is easier to assemble and yet simple and reliable.
  • the object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.
  • the pusher and the switching device are mounted on the drain valve and form a unit with this. Since the switching device with the drain valve as a whole can thus be fixed to the bottom of the cistern, the assembly effort is considerably less and automatic assembly is also easily possible. It is no longer necessary to adapt the switching device to the drain valve during assembly.
  • the trigger button is stored separately from the unit on the cistern. Since the trigger button thus does not have to be connected to the switching device during assembly, the trigger button can also be attached much more easily, for example to the cistern lid.
  • the assembly of the actuating device according to the invention is thus at least as simple as that of a conventional actuating device without interrupting the rinsing.
  • the release button is stored separately from the switching device, different box heights or a drilling offset between the lid and box bottom can be easily compensated for.
  • the adaptation to different box heights can be done particularly simply by attaching a cut-to-length rod to the release head at the bottom.
  • the switching device according to a development of the invention is arranged under a hood-shaped housing part, a particularly compact and functional unit is achieved.
  • the switching device has a vertically displaceable pusher and a two-armed lever with deflectable switching arms.
  • the pusher is moved vertically downwards or upwards, while the two-armed lever is pivoted clockwise or counterclockwise.
  • Such a switching device works largely without a dead stroke.
  • Fig. 1 shows a conventional ceramic cistern with a lid 8 and a bottom 16 of a box body.
  • a release button 1 with a sensing element 1b and a rod 1a connected to it is inserted into an opening 8a of the cover 8.
  • the release button 1 is guided vertically displaceably in a housing 14. With a nut 15, which is screwed onto a guide sleeve 14a with an external thread, the housing 14 is fixed on the cistern cover 8.
  • a drain valve 3 is attached to an opening 16a of the bottom 16, which has an overflow pipe 11, a float valve 13 with a cylindrical floating body 13a and a switching device 10 in a housing 6.
  • a valve tube 4 with a valve plate 4c is mounted in a float housing 6b. By lifting or lowering the valve tube 4, an outlet opening 11i of the outlet valve 3 is opened or closed for triggering the flushing.
  • the float housing 6b is fastened to a base 11h which is integrally formed on an outlet connection 11e.
  • the nozzle 11e is in turn molded onto an open tube 11b of the overflow 11.
  • the nozzle 11e is inserted through the opening 16a of the cistern bottom 16 and is tightly attached to the cistern bottom 16 by means of a lock nut 11g and a sealing washer 11f.
  • another tube 11c is inserted telescopically and can be locked, in which a holder 11d is locked in place at the upper, wider end.
  • a conventional inlet valve 12 is attached to the holder 11d.
  • Two opposite extensions 6c are formed on top of the float housing 6b, each of which has a bearing 6d at the upper end for a horizontally running axis of rotation 5 of a two-armed lever 2.
  • This lever 2 has a slot 2c at each end, one of which forms a pivot joint with a pin 4d of an arm 4b formed on the valve tube 4.
  • a hood-shaped housing part 6a is detachably or fixedly arranged, in which a pusher 9 cooperating with the lever 2 is mounted and which has a plurality of inwardly projecting ribs 6e and locking cams 6f with which the housing part 6a is latched onto the float housing 6b.
  • a cylindrical collar 6g is formed on top of the housing part 6a and has an inwardly projecting edge 6h for receiving a spiral spring 24.
  • a pusher 9 engages with a pusher rod 9h through the collar 6g into the interior of the housing part 6a and is guided in a vertically displaceable manner with a guide slot 9c at the lower end on the axis 5 of the lever 2.
  • a cylindrical guide part 9f is formed on the pusher 9, which engages around the collar 6g and against which the coil spring 24 rests at its upper end.
  • the pusher 9 can be used to operate the Outlet valve 3 can be moved vertically downwards with the release button 1 against the retroactive force of the spring 24 until the guide part 9f stops on the collar 6g. If the release button 1 is released, the spring 24 moves the trigger 9 up to the stop of a cam 9g on the housing part 6a.
  • Two shoulders 9a and 9b are formed on the push rod 9e and, depending on the pivoting position of the lever 2, engage with a pivot arm 2a or 2b.
  • These pivot arms 2a and 2b are pivotally attached to the lever 2d by means of two swivel joints 2d. Molded spring parts 2e return the swivel arms 2a and 2b to a predetermined position in the unloaded state.
  • the release button 1 lies loosely with its lower end on a flat surface 9d of the pusher 9.
  • the horizontally extending surface 9d is substantially larger than the contact surface lc of the release button, so that a lateral offset between the release button 1 and the drain valve 3 is possible.
  • Such a displaceability can compensate for a possible offset between the openings 8a and 16a.
  • Even a lateral displacement of the cover 8 while the cistern is in use has no influence on the functionality of the actuation, since, as can be seen, the trigger button can move sideways.
  • FIG. 2a shows an embodiment in which an arm 32a is formed on the side of a valve tube 32 and which is connected to a two-armed lever 30 via a swivel joint 33.
  • the lever 30 is pivotally mounted on a horizontal axis 31, which corresponds to the axis 5.
  • elastic arms 30a and 30b which project vertically from the lever 30 engage with a shoulder 34a or a shoulder 34b of a pusher 34.
  • the pusher 34 can be moved downward against the force of a spiral spring 34c by guiding a guide part 35 which is fixedly connected to the drain valve.
  • the function of the pusher 34 corresponds to that of the pusher 9.
  • the remaining parts of the actuating device (not shown here) are designed as described with reference to FIG. 1.
  • the release button 1 is now released in the position according to FIG. 2c after a complete or partial emptying of the cistern, then the pusher 34 moves upward into the position shown in FIG. 2d due to the action of the spiral spring 34c. Due to the buoyancy of the float, the valve tube 32 remains in the open position. At the same time, the swivel arm 30a slides along the pusher 34 and finally engages on the shoulder 34a. If the release button 1 is now moved downward again, the two-armed lever 30 is moved back into the pivot position shown in FIG. 2a. This also moves the valve plate 4c downward and closes the outlet opening. The partially or completely emptied cistern is now refilled in a known manner via the inlet valve 12. The cistern is now ready for a partial or full flush.
  • FIGS 3a and 3b show an embodiment of the actuating device according to the invention, in which the cistern cover 8 is attached to the housing of the drain valve.
  • This one Switching device may correspond to the switching device 10 or 40 mentioned above.
  • a yoke 20 has two downwardly projecting arms 20d and 20e, which have a plurality of openings 20c in a row. Two latching cams 22a formed on a float housing 22 are snapped into one of these openings.
  • the arms 20d and 20e are each inserted into a lateral recess 21a and engage behind a jacket part 21b of the hood 21 at the level of the cams 22a. Below the hood 21, the arms 20d and 20e rest on the float housing 22 on the outside.
  • the float housing 22, the hood 21 and the yoke 20 are thus firmly connected to one another in a box-like manner, the height of the yoke 20 being able to be set as desired in accordance with the openings 20c.
  • a disc 1d is screwed onto the external thread of the guide sleeve 14a, which is inserted from the side into a chamber 20a of the yoke 20 and which connects the yoke 20 to the housing 14.
  • the variant of the actuating device shown in FIGS. 4a-4b is also preferably provided for a ceramic cistern and also allows the flushing to be interrupted by a repeated movement of a trigger button 54 in the same direction.
  • the trigger button 54 is on the one according to FIG Cistern lid not shown here stored. It can be cut to length and its front end stands loosely on the head 55a of a pusher 55.
  • the pusher 55 is guided vertically displaceably in a holder 56 and can be moved downward with the button 54 against the force of a spiral spring 59.
  • the spring 59 is supported on the head 55a and on the holder 56a.
  • An arm 55c that can be swung out laterally is attached to the head 55a via a swivel joint 55b.
  • the holder 56 has a guide part 56a for the pusher 55, a bottom part 56b and a web 56c.
  • the holder 56 is detachably or firmly connected to the web 56c on the housing of the drain valve, not shown here. Similar to that shown in FIG. 1, here the holder 56 can also be arranged under a hood.
  • a disc 53 with a plurality of laterally projecting cams 53b and a smaller disc 51 are rotatably mounted on the plate-shaped or box-shaped holder 56 on axes 50a and 51a.
  • the smaller disk 51 meshes with the larger disk 53 and is connected to the valve tube 52 via levers 51b and 51d.
  • the lever 51b is firmly connected to the disk 51 at one end and articulated to the much longer arm 51d at the other end.
  • the lever 51d in turn is pivotally connected to the valve tube 52 via a joint 51e.
  • the actuating device is in the basic position, the drain valve is thus closed and it is assumed that the cistern is filled.
  • the trigger button 54 is now moved downward to trigger the flushing, the pusher 55 is simultaneously moved downward against the force of the spring 59.
  • the pusher 55 which stands on a cam 53b at the lower end, rotates the disk 53 counterclockwise in the direction of the arrow 57 by 60 °.
  • the driven smaller wheel 51 according to FIG. 4b, makes a rotation by 180 ° in the clockwise direction 58.
  • the valve tube 52 is accordingly lifted upwards and the drain valve opened. The flushing is thus initiated and the flushing tube 52 remains in the position shown in FIG. 4b due to the buoyancy of the float.
  • the released release button 54 and the pusher 55 are returned to the original position shown in FIG. 4a by the restoring force of the spring 59. As shown in FIG. 4c, the arm 55c is brought under lateral deflection into a position in which it stands over another cam of the disk 53.
  • valve tube 52 falls back into the closed position as usual after the flushing cistern has been emptied, the smaller wheel 51 simultaneously being rotated further in the direction of arrow 16 by 180 ° and again reaching the position shown in FIG. 4a. After refilling the cistern, it is then ready for another rinse.
  • the switching arm 55c rotates the disk 53 counterclockwise by 60 ° and the smaller wheel 51 becomes 180 from the position shown in FIG. 4c in the direction of the arrow 60 ° turned further, and the valve tube 52 pressed against the buoyancy of the float down on the valve seat. This will drain the drain valve after partial emptying of the cistern closed and the actuating device has again reached the starting position according to FIG. 4d. After refilling the cistern, the flush can be triggered as described above.
