Abstract

A runner guide for an elevator door has at the end points runner-lifting devices which, by means of ramp pieces (5, 6) and run-on edge discs (3, 4) of runners (1, 11), relieve the running surfaces of elastic running-surface inserts when at rest. In this way, flattenings in the elastic running surfaces and thus the rumbling noises resulting from this during the door movements are avoided. Taking into account the fact that the door travel (b) is greater than the runner spacing (a), a runner must be able to cross without contact a ramp piece (6) not intended for it. This is made possible through the use of an asymmetric runner (11) which has on one side an edge disc (12) of smaller diameter. The asymmetric runner (11) is only lifted when the opposite edge disc (4) of normal size runs onto a ramp piece (5). <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a guide rail and a roller as components of an automatic sliding door, in which the roller has a non-metallic and hard-elastic tread insert for smooth running and the guide rail has a cross section guiding the roller.

It is known that castors with metal treads on metal guide rails cause disturbing running noises. For this reason, various types of non-metal treads for rollers have been created which help to reduce the running noise. The softer the tread is, the smaller the running noise. On the other hand, however, the rolling resistance is growing, but this can be compensated for with the corresponding additional drive power. The phenomenon of tread flattening at a standstill has a much worse effect because the result is a bumpy walk with the corresponding rumble noise. The flattening results from the fact that a loaded roll remains in the same position for a long time. This is particularly the case with automatic elevator sliding doors, since they must regularly remain in the closed position for several hours. The American patent specification US-2 611 920 describes a good solution which does not have the disadvantages mentioned and nevertheless promises smooth running. The roller has a vibration-damping intermediate layer between the ball bearing outer ring and the roller body, and the roller guide rail also has one between its foot and upper part. The tread cannot be flattened, but the smoothness to be achieved may not yet reach a desired level. Despite the vibration-damping intermediate layers in the roll and in the guide rail, there is still metal on metal rolling friction. In addition, the construction is very complex, with which the costs should exceed a reasonable level for this application.

The present invention has for its object to provide a roller guide with roller, which does not have the disadvantages mentioned, which is easy and inexpensive to manufacture, and with which existing automatic elevator sliding doors can be equipped.

This object is achieved by the invention characterized in the claims.

The advantages achieved by the invention are essentially to be seen in the fact that the solution is achieved on the one hand by adapting the shape of a standard machine part and by a few additional simple machine components, and on the other hand the running culture of the roller guide on an elevator door achieves values not previously known. The solution combines all the advantages of an elastic roller tread without the disadvantages of tread flattening during long periods of non-use under load.

In the drawings, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown and show
  • 1 a roller on the guide rail in the intermediate position and in cross section,
  • 2 shows a roller on the guide rail in the end position and in cross section,
  • 3 a roller on the guide rail in the end position and as a side view,
  • 4 shows an asymmetrical roller on the guide rail and in cross section and
  • 5 shows a partial front view of an elevator sliding door.

In FIG. 1, 1 denotes the roller body, which has an elastic insert 2 with a semicircular tread 10 and two rigid, preferably made of metal, edge plates 3 and 4 protruding on both sides of the tread 10.

The edge discs 4 and 5 are made of the same material as the roller body and are a compact part of the same. The tread 10 runs on a semicircular head part 7.1 of a guide rail 7. The guide rail 7 has a widened base part 7.3 and a prismatic vertical leg 7.2, which ends with the semicircular head part 7.1.

Deren Höhe ist so bemessen, dass die starren Randscheiben 3 und 4 auf den Oberseiten auflaufen und die elastische Lauffläche 10 völlig entlasten.2 shows the same parts plus ramp pieces 5 and 6 each attached to the side flanks of the prismatic vertical leg 7.2. Their height is dimensioned such that the rigid edge disks 3 and 4 run up on the upper sides and completely relieve the elastic tread 10.

The edge disk 4 has run up from left to right via a ramp 8 onto a horizontal part 9 of the ramp piece 6 and, due to the dimensions of the rim disk diameter and ramp piece height, has relieved the tread 10 of the roller 1 by lifting it off. The ramp 8 has, for example, a gradient ratio of s to x equal to ten to one.

An asymmetrical roller 11 is shown in cross section in FIG. 4, which on the right has a rigid peripheral disk 12 with a smaller diameter than the left rigid peripheral disk 4. The asymmetrical roller 11 can run over a ramp piece 6 attached on the right side of the guide rail 7 without its running surface 10 being lifted off, that is to say relieved. This measure makes it possible to apply the principle for sliding door leaves in which the roller spacing is smaller than the displacement path.

A left door leaf 14 is each connected to a suspension 13 with a roller 1 and an asymmetrical roller 11 and a right, not fully shown door leaf 15 in the same way with two rollers 1 and 11. Die Right asymmetrical roller 11 of the door leaf 14 is installed so that its smaller edge plate 12 is at the front. Accordingly, the ramp pieces 5 and 6 assigned to the rollers 1 and 11 are attached to the guide rail 7 once at the front and once at the rear.

The device described above in the figures works as follows:
5 further shows that a roller distance a is smaller than a displacement path b. This means that during an opening movement, the asymmetrical roller 11 must be able to drive over the left front ramp piece 5 without touching it. This is possible due to the smaller front disc 12 of the right asymmetrical roller 11. In the application shown, relief of the running surfaces 10 of the rollers 1 and 11 is only provided in the closed position of the elevator sliding door. This is because, in the case of an elevator, the residence time of the elevator door in the closed position is usually much longer than that in the open position. If necessary, however, it is easily possible to provide relief of the running surfaces 10 in both end positions of the door. Here, only asymmetrical rollers 11 are used and two ramp pieces 5 and 6 are attached to the front and rear side of the guide rail. The impact of the edge discs on the ramp sections is not audible as noise, because the door speed is very low in the area of the end positions.

Relatively soft damping inserts 2 can be provided because the rollers no longer remain on the treads in the end positions and flattening cannot occur. The movement of an elevator sliding door is practically noiseless with this device. The device can also be used for other types of sliding doors, such as entrance doors in shops and hotels or for any internal connecting doors in office buildings, apartment buildings or hospitals. The device can also be used for telescopic doors, where the smooth running effect comes into play, particularly with the high-speed door leaf.
