Description

The invention relates to a jack with a vertical column, a support arm attached to it pivotably about a first transverse axis and with a threaded spindle for pivoting the supporting arm relative to the vertical column, on the above the first transverse axis a nut penetrated by the threaded spindle about a second parallel to the first transverse axis Transverse axis is pivotally mounted, the support arm having two side walls spaced apart in the direction of the cross axes, between which the threaded spindle extends obliquely from above and in which opposing suspension openings are provided, and with one between the support arm side walls by one to the two other transverse axes parallel third transverse axis pivotally held spindle abutment for the threaded spindle, which is provided with projections engaging in the suspension openings, which in each of the angular positions of the threaded spindle possible when the jack is actuated In relation to the support arm in the longitudinal direction of the threaded spindle, there are at least almost no play between mutually opposite first and second edge regions of the edge of the associated suspension opening, of which the first edge region faces the mother and is formed in a circular arc - concave to the interior of the suspension opening - and each of the suspension openings has at its first and second edge areas an insertion area which extends away from said edge areas.

In particular, the invention relates to jacks of the type defined above in which the two suspension openings of the two support arm side walls are of identical design.

Such a jack is known from FIGS. 7-9 of DE-A-27 56 108 from E. A. Storz GmbH & Co. KG. In order to mount the spindle abutment in the longitudinal direction of the threaded spindle without play on the two support arm side walls in this known jack, the suspension openings are circular in shape and the spindle abutment has two projections on each side, each of which has a cross section that approximately forms part of an annulus corresponds so that the convex outer sides of these two projections form circular-arc-shaped bearing surfaces for bearing against the edge of the associated suspension opening. A slot-shaped insertion area extends from each of the insertion openings down to the lower edge of the support arm side walls, the width of these insertion areas being smaller than the diameter of the insertion openings and equal to or slightly larger than the width of the spindle abutment projections. The bottom of the support arm, which has a U-shaped profile, ends - seen from the free end of the support arm - behind the slot-shaped insertion areas of the suspension openings.

This known jack has the following disadvantages: Since, in order to be able to hang the spindle abutment in the support arm, below the suspension openings of the support arm, the bottom of which connects the support arm side walls, the support arm must be left out precisely in the area in which it is to be lifted Load and the tensile force exerted by the threaded spindle must be weakened. Besides, is the hooking of the threaded spindle into the support arm is relatively difficult: since the end region of the threaded spindle provided with the spindle abutment must be inserted from above between the support arm side walls (see FIG. 8 of DE-A-27 56 108), this must be free around the threaded spindle rotatable spindle abutments are first rotated by 90 ° (in relation to its later position of use) so that the spindle abutment projections can be inserted between the support arm side walls; after the spindle abutment has passed the side walls of the support arm and the end area of the threaded spindle with the spindle abutment protrudes from the bottom of the support arm, the spindle abutment must be turned back through 90 ° to its position of use, after which the threaded spindle is pulled upwards so that the spindle abutment Protrusions pass through the insertion areas into the suspension openings, whereupon the support arm and the threaded spindle are pivoted relative to one another in such a way that the spindle abutment projections, with their outer bearing surfaces facing away from one another, bear against the edges of the suspension openings. However, this is an extremely difficult assembly process because, as already mentioned, the spindle abutment rotates freely on the threaded spindle.

The invention was based on the object of creating a jack of the type defined at the outset, which has a support arm which is not weakened in its load-receiving region and in which the spindle abutment can easily be suspended in the support arm without the risk having to be accepted, that the jack stowed away in the vehicle causes unwanted rattling noises.

This object can be achieved according to the invention in that the hanging openings have a self-contained edge, that the insertion areas of the insertion openings extend approximately towards the free end of the support arm and that groove-shaped insertion recesses are provided for inserting the projections into the insertion openings on the mutually facing inner sides of the support arm side walls, which recesses extend from the free edges of the support arm side walls to the insertion areas of the hanging openings extend. The following advantages can be achieved in this way: The orientation of the insertion areas of the suspension openings avoids the risk that the projections of the spindle abutment may get into the insertion areas of the suspension openings at any angular position of the support arm and when the jack is not under load and can thus lead to a risk of rattling. The insertion recesses enable a particularly simple assembly of the threaded spindle, since when the spindle abutment is inserted between the side walls of the support arm, the projections of the spindle abutment can be pushed along the trough-shaped insertion recesses up to the hook-in openings and then inserted into the latter without the need for the spindle abutment twisted twice, namely before it is inserted between the support arm side walls and after its projections have reached the area of the suspension openings. A weakening of the support arm in its load-bearing area can also be avoided by means of hook-in openings which have a self-contained edge, ie do not extend to the edges of the support arm side walls.

In preferred embodiments of the jack according to the invention, the second edge regions are also formed in a circular arc - convex to the interior of the suspension openings - in order to create good sliding surfaces for the abutment projections also on these second edge regions; basically it would of course also be possible to design the second edge areas differently, e.g. B. so that they abut with several projections against the surfaces of the abutment projections facing away from the spindle nut.

In the channel-shaped introductory recesses, it could e.g. B. to millings in the support arm side walls; However, a jack according to the invention can be produced much cheaper and without any weakening of the support arm if the insertion recesses are formed as bead-shaped embossments of the support arm side walls.

Weitere Merkmale besonders vorteilhafter Ausführungsformen des erfindungsgemäßen Wagenhebers ergeben sich aus den Ansprüchen 4, 5 und 7.Further features of particularly advantageous embodiments of the jack according to the invention result from claims 4, 5 and 7.

At the lower end of the pedestal a foot 16 is arranged, which likewise two side walls 18 lying one behind the other in FIG. 1 and a base 20 connecting them to one another and thus having an upwardly open U-profile. It is articulated with its side walls 18 to the side walls 12 of the pedestal 10, by means of two rivets 22 or by means of a continuous pin riveted to its ends, so that the foot 16 has a pivot axis running perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. A support arm 24, which also has an upwardly open U-profile, is articulated by means of a continuous pin 26 on the side walls 12 of the column 10; the support arm likewise has two side walls 28 lying one behind the other in FIG. 1 and a floor 30 connecting them to one another. It engages between the support column side walls 12, and the pin 26 extends through both the support column side walls 12 and through the support arm side walls 28 and is on its ends provided with rivet heads, no longer shown; it therefore defines a first transverse axis about which the support arm 24 can be pivoted relative to the column 10. Finally, the jack has a threaded spindle 32, which has a rivet-shaped head 34 at the front and a pivot point 36 for a hand crank 38 at the rear; in between is a threaded section 40, with which the threaded spindle 32 runs in a nut designated as a whole as 42, which can be pivoted in a known and therefore not explained manner in the column side walls 12 about a second transverse axis 44 running perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 1 is held.

Arranged between a spacer tube 46 penetrated by the threaded spindle 32 and the spindle head 34 is an abutment, designated as a whole by 48, the construction of which will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4.

68 bilden. It consists of a first, front annular disk 50, a second substantially annular disk 52 and a likewise annular ball cage 56 arranged between these two disks and provided with balls 54, the parts 50, 52 and 56 from the front end region of the threaded spindle 32 be penetrated. The second disk 52, shown in more detail in FIG. 4, has, in addition to a passage opening 58 for the threaded spindle 32 and a raceway 60 for the balls 54, two diagonally opposite tab-shaped projections or projections 62, the cross-section of which corresponds approximately to part of a circular ring and which consequently in the End view circular and inner and outer bearing surfaces 64 and 68 form.

According to the invention, the two support arm side walls 28 are provided with mutually opposite and identically designed suspension openings 70 (these are located one behind the other in FIG. 2), each of which is designed according to the invention as follows:

It is composed of a storage area 72 and an insertion area 74; the bearing area 72 is directed in the direction of the nut 42 from a first concave, circular arc-shaped edge area 76 and this delimited opposite by a second convex, circular arc-shaped edge region 78. The two arcs are, in particular, approximately concentric to one another and, according to the invention, their distance from one another is the same or only slightly greater than the distance between the two bearing surfaces 64 and 68, ie as the thickness of the projections 62 between the bearing surfaces 64 and 68. The two edge regions 76 and 78 each of the two suspension openings 70 merge into at least approximately rectilinear and mutually parallel edge regions 80 and 82 of the insertion region 74, and the distance between the two edge regions 80, 82 from one another is equal to or slightly greater than the maximum thickness of the projections 62 of the disk 52 of the spindle abutment 48 In addition, the length of the slot-shaped insertion region 74 is equal to or slightly larger than the width of the projections 62 (viewed in the direction of the axis defined by the two projections 62).

According to a further feature of the invention, the two support arm side walls 28 have channel-shaped insertion depressions 84 on their mutually facing inner sides, each of which extends downward from an upper edge 83 of the relevant support arm side wall 28. The insertion recesses 84 are expediently produced by an embossing process and are dimensioned such that the distance between their two longitudinal edges or edge regions 86, which define the usable depth or width of the insertion recesses 84 and run parallel to one another, is identical or somewhat is greater than the width of the projections 62, so that the spindle abutment 48 can be inserted from above with the projections 62 extending perpendicularly to the support arm side walls 28 between the support arm side walls. According to the invention, the insertion recesses 84 extend down to the level of the insertion regions 74 of the insertion openings 70, so that after the projections 62 have been inserted into the insertion recesses 84, the projections 62 can be inserted into the insertion regions 74 of the insertion openings 78 by pushing back the spindle abutment 48, whereupon, by pivoting the threaded spindle 32 into the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the projections 62 can be brought between the edge regions 76 and 78 of the bearing region 72 of the hanging openings 70, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. It can also be seen from FIG. 2 that in this position the projections 62 are held between the edge regions 76 and 78 at least almost without play, but that they can, however, perform a pivoting or rotating movement about the transverse axis 90 defined by the edge regions 76 and 78.

The two further embodiments of the jack according to the invention, which are shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 and 7, are described below only insofar as they differ from the first embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4. In addition, the same reference numerals were used in FIGS. 5 and 6 and 7 as in FIGS. 1 to 4, but with the addition of a dash (for the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6) or two dashes (for the embodiment according to FIG. 7). .

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the suspension openings 70 'are designed and oriented in exactly the same way as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, while the insertion recesses 84' in which extend from the upper edges 83 'of the support arm side walls 28' into the latter The side view of the jack is designed in the shape of a circular arc and its two longitudinal edges or edge regions 86 'are at a distance from one another which is equal to or slightly greater than the thickness of the projections 62 of the spindle abutment 48, since the insertion recesses 84' in this embodiment are not transverse to the insertion region 74 'of the hanging openings 70' end, but are oriented in their lower end region in the longitudinal direction of the insertion regions 74 '.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, the conditions are again very similar to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, only the hook-in openings 70 ″ and the insertion recesses 84 ″ are, as it were, tilted backwards compared to the first embodiment. Otherwise, however, what has been said about the first embodiment applies to the dimensioning of the insertion recesses 84 ″ and the insertion process.
