Zur Montage wurde das Verbindungsstück auf das eine Dachrinnenende gesteckt sowie das andere mit dem ersten Dachrinnenende zu verbindende Dachrinnenende in den Wulst des Verbindungsstückes und in den überlappenden Rand des Verbindungsstückes geschoben. In der Oberkante des überlappenden Randes war ein Schraubengewinde eingepreßt, in dem eine Druckschraube steckte, mit der auf die Rinnenhinterkante derart gedrückt wurde, daß sich das kreisförmige gebogene Randstück in den Wulst des Verbindungsstückes fest drückte, wodurch das Verbindungsstück fest mit den beiden Rinnenenden verklemmt wurde.Another connector for connecting two gutter ends is known from CH-A 565 920. Claims (9)

  1. A jointing piece with a double T-shaped cross section for joining respectively the ends of two eaves gutters (1, 3), characterised in that it is made from a single lead flashing with a double T-shaped cross-section bent lengthwise so as to match the profile of the eaves gutter and in that the joining flange (13a, 13b) as well as one (15a, 15b) of the two cross-flanges (9a, 9b; 15a, 15b) is double-walled through the inner part of the lead flashing (11) and the other cross-flange (9a, 9b) is formed by the two edge pieces of the lead flashing (11).
  2. A jointing piece in accordance with claim 1, characterised in that one flange (9a, 9b) is wider than the other (15a, 15b).
  3. A jointing piece in accordance with claim 2, characterised in that the wider flange (9a, 9b) has at least one bore (21) in the part overlapping the narrower flange (15a, 15b), which serves as a means for guiding a notching tool or a bore jig when notching or boring in the space (17a, 17b) between the eaves gutter ends pushed in between the wide and narrow flange pieces (9a, 9b; 15a, 15b).
  4. A jointing piece in accordance with claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the wider flange (9a, 9b) lies on the inner side of the jointing piece (5).
  5. A jointing piece in accordance with one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the lead parts forming the cross-pieces (13a, 13b) are tightly adjoined to each other.
  6. A method for producing jointing pieces in accordance with one of claims 1 to 5, whereby the first stage involves bending the double T-profile of the jointing piece (5) made from a lead flashing (11) and the second stage bending the double T-profile thus obtained lengthwise to fit the sectional profile of an eaves gutter (1, 3).
  7. A method in accordance with claim 6, characterised in that in order to bend the double T-profile of the lead flashing so that the channel has a U-profile (30; 43), each of the two channel side walls is folded, the fold lines of the two channel side walls (32a, 32b) and the two folds aligned with the fold lines on each channel side wall (32a, 32b) are pressed together, so that a slot (17a, 17b) is left free between the two folds of each channel side wall (32a, 32b) aligned with the fold lines.
  8. A device for implementing the method in accordance with claim 6 or 7, characterised in that it has a first (29; 41; 63) and a second (25; 47; 65) press stamp for forming a channel with a U-shaped profile (30; 43) from a lead flashing (11) which may be moved towards each other and a third (31a; 57a) and fourth (31b; 57b) press stamp which may be moved towards each other more or less perpendicular to the direction of movement of the first and/or second press stamp (29, 25; 41, 47; 63, 65) in order to push the two channel side walls (32a, 32b) lengthways together in such a way that in a subsequent stage the U-shaped gutter (30; 43) may be formed into a double T-profile when pressed together.
  9. A device in accordance with claim 8, characterised in that the first (29; 41; 63) and the second (25; 47; 65) press stamp may be moved together and towards each other and the free side walls may be moved back away from each other by means of the first press stamp (29; 41; 63) whilst being pushed through the third and fourth press stamp (31a, 31b; 57a, 57b), so that the channel side walls (32a, 32b) are pressed in to form an I-profile as a result of the first (29; 41; 63) and second (25; 47; 65) press stamps moving towards each other.
