Definitions

  • the invention relates to a work table with a table top, in particular a corner plate, and with a horizontal cable duct, which is arranged on the front below the table top and from a closed position, in which a cross-sectionally U-shaped open top receiving rail through the table top is covered, in an open position in which the mounting rail is accessible from above, can be transferred.
  • Such work tables are known in particular for office purposes, where numerous cables have to be laid for the electrical connection of devices such as writing and dictation devices, screens, telephones and lamps.
  • the table top is to the rear, ie towards the user of the work table, horizontally displaceable, so that the cable duct attached to a fixed frame below the front of the table top, for example, is accessible from above, or the cable duct itself is attached in a drawer-like manner to the underside of the table top, so that it is above the front of the work table protrudes horizontally so that it is accessible from above.
  • the disadvantage here is that the first design is not suitable for work tables with tapered table tops, in particular towards the user, towards the user, especially corner plates, since these table tops cannot be moved horizontally backwards, and that the second design for work tables , which are relatively close to a wall with their front, is not suitable, since then the cable duct cannot be pulled out like a drawer.
  • the cable duct which is articulated about an axis on the underside, can be opened downward in the manner of a flap.
  • a desk of the type mentioned is known, for example, from EP-A-0 010 301. Thereafter, a duct, which runs directly below the table top on the back of the desk and is guided in the desk, is arranged for guiding cables in a desk.
  • the outer leg is flush with the desk wall and has openings for the passage of cables.
  • at least on one side of the channel running parallel to the table top is a perpendicular to this extending and pointing downward further channel attached, which is displaceable together with the first channel and can be inserted into a recess in the side cheek or the base frame of the desk and has a connection to the horizontally running channel.
  • the object of the invention is the development of a work table of the type mentioned in that the cable duct is easily accessible both with corner panels and when the front of the work table is relatively close to a wall.
  • mounting rail is articulated on the table top via parallel links and can thus be moved downward and preferably also forward for transfer from the closed position into the open position essentially without rotation.
  • the mounting rail is articulated on the table top via parallel links, the mounting rail can be moved into its open position and back both in the vertical and in the horizontal direction without a tilting movement about its longitudinal axis. Depending on the conditions of use, this makes it possible to move the cable duct into a position which is particularly favorable for inserting or removing the cables.
  • the cable duct is accessible in its open position from above, so that the worktop does not need to be removed and the worktable does not have to be moved away from the wall either in the case of work tables with a corner plate or in the case of work tables which have their front side directly against a wall to open the cable duct.
  • the movement component of the receiving rail towards the front can preferably be dimensioned so small that in the open position there is no significant protrusion beyond the front edge of the table top.
  • the receiving rail can be fixed in the closed position by means of a locking device on the table top in order to ensure a simple and safe closing of the cable duct, also taking into account the weight caused by the inserted cables.
  • the receiving rail moves from the closed position into the open position under the action of gravity after the locking device has been released.
  • the parallel link is formed by two shafts, each at a different distance from the front edge of the table top from a central bearing section accommodated in its bearing plate fastened to the underside of the table top and two this consist on both sides perpendicular and angled outward, pivotally received in a fitting part connected to the mounting rail support legs.
  • the bearing sections have different lengths, so that the support legs are also laterally offset from one another are.
  • the fitting part is designed as a box-shaped element, with two side walls in which the support legs of the shafts pivotably engage, a bottom wall which covers the bearing plate and the shafts in the closed position downwards, and an end wall with which the mounting rail is connected.
  • the fitting part is designed to be torsionally rigid, inexpensive to manufacture and, on the other hand, covers the mechanism downwards.
  • the receiving rail is slightly set back in the closed position with respect to the front edge of the table top arranged so that even on workbenches that are directly on a wall with their front side, a pivoting movement of the receiving rail downwards is made possible.
  • the table top 1 of a work table shown in FIG. 1 and designed as a corner plate is provided with a horizontal cable duct 2, which is attached to the front (in FIG. 1 above) below the table top 1 and from a closed position, in which a cross-section is essentially U-shaped receiving rail 3 which is open at the top is covered by the table top 1 and can be transferred into an open position in which the receiving rail 3 is accessible from above.
  • the receiving rail 3 can be moved downward, and preferably also forward, for rotation from the closed position into the open position, essentially without twisting with respect to the table top (1).
  • the receiving rail 3 can be fixed in its closed position by means of a locking device 14 on the table top 1.
  • the locking device 14 consists of a threaded pin 18 mounted in the underside, which is screwed into a threaded bushing 19 in the underside 5 of the table top 1 and on the end of the thread protruding from the bottom wall 16 of a fitting 11 of the cable duct 2, a manually operable end Threaded nut 20 is screwed on.
  • other locking devices 14 are also conceivable, for example on the Bottom 5 of the table top 1 articulated and into (not shown) recesses in the side walls 15 of the fitting part 11 pivotable (not shown) latch.
  • the mounting rail 3 is articulated via parallel links 4 on the underside of the table top 1 in such a way that the mounting rail 3 moves after the release of the locking device 14 under the action of gravity from the closed position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 (in FIGS 2 and 3 to the right) moved to an open position.
  • the front wall 21 of the mounting rail 3 also ends in the closed position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 already at a certain distance from the underside 5 of the table top 1, so that in this closed position 22 cables into the mounting rail through the remaining gap 3 can be inserted.
  • the parallel link 4 is formed by two shafts 6 and 7, each of which consists of a central bearing section 9 and 10 and two support legs 12 and 13 which are angled perpendicularly on both sides of the bearing section.
  • the shafts 6, 7 are received in recesses 23 of a bearing plate 8 (FIGS. 5a, 5b) which is fastened to the underside 5 of the table top 1 by means of screws.
  • the support legs 12, 13 are, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 4a and 4c, pivotally received in openings 25, 26 in the side walls 15 of the fitting part 10.
  • the bearing sections 9, 10, as can be seen in particular from FIGS. 4a, 6 and 7, have different lengths, so that the shafts 6, 7, as can be seen from FIG. 4a, although they are arranged relatively close to one another, do not impede one another and in the closed position of the mounting rail 3 (cf. FIGS. 2 and 3) can lay closely on the underside 5 of the table top 1.
  • the fitting part 11 is a box-shaped element which, in addition to the two side walls 15 in which the support legs 12, 13 of the shafts 6, 7 pivotably engage, and the bottom wall 16 which the shafts 6, 7 and covers the bearing plate 8 in the closed position of the mounting rail 3, has an end wall 17 to which the mounting rail 3 is connected.
  • the front wall 21 of the mounting rail 3 in its closed position is set back by a certain amount with respect to the front edge 27 of the table top 1, so that the mounting rail 3 moves as it moves by means of the parallel link 4 can already move downwards to a certain extent before the receiving rail 3 protrudes beyond the front edge 27.
  • the mounting rail 3 even more accessible for inserting and removing cables, even if the work table is relatively close to a wall or the like.
  • the cable duct 2 can also be made easily accessible in the case of corner plates, because this does not require any displacement of the table plate 1 to the rear.
