Description

The invention relates to a pallet consisting of a frame and a bottom insert detachably held in the frame, the frame consisting of frame walls made of extruded hollow profiles.

Such pallets are used in particular for receiving and storing objects, such as assembly parts, ready for removal, which are removed for further processing by an industrial robot. As a result, the pallets must be arranged or positioned very precisely relative to the robot so that the objects are also fixed in position and can thus be gripped by the robot. The objects are fixed within the pallet by the specially adapted floor inserts, for example in that they are inserted into corresponding receiving recesses or between elevations. Therefore, it is always necessary to use different floor inserts for storing different objects, so that it is desirable to change the floor inserts accordingly for multiple use of the frame.

A range of the type mentioned is known from DE-GM 88 10 402. Here, the floor insert is fastened in the frame via a snap connection. The frame walls are designed as extruded hollow plastic profiles. This range has proven itself, but in some applications there is a need to be able to insert the floor insert into the frame without a direct connection to the frame walls, thereby making handling easier.

The invention is therefore based on the object, starting from a pallet of the generic type, to improve it in such a way that the floor insert can be simply inserted into the frame, yet a safe, precise and stable reception should be ensured.

According to the invention, this is achieved in that the frame walls have inward protrusions in the area enclosed by the frame and formed as a one-piece hollow profile sections for supporting the floor insert.

Due to the design according to the invention, the floor insert only needs to be inserted into the frame from above until it comes to rest on the support webs. Replacement is therefore particularly easy. Due to the design of the support webs as hollow profile sections, high stability is ensured, so that even heavy objects can be stored in the pallet according to the invention.

In an advantageous development of the invention, the support webs each have, in their upper sides facing the floor insert, holding grooves running parallel to the frame walls. Furthermore, the bottom insert has on its underside which comes to rest on the support webs, which preferably engage in a form-fitting manner in the holding grooves of the support webs. On the one hand, this increases the stability, since a spreading of the frame walls to the outside, which may occur when there is a load, is prevented by holding them together by means of the floor insert or its retaining lugs engaging in the retaining grooves. On the other hand, a very precise positioning of the floor insert relative to the frame, and thus also an exact positioning of the objects stored in the pallet, is achieved.

To further increase the stability, it is advantageous if the floor insert is additionally connected to the support webs via rivet connections. To this end, the configuration of the support webs as hollow profile sections is particularly advantageous in that the rivet connections can each be designed as a blind rivet which extends through the bottom insert and through an upper wall of the support web into a cavity of the hollow profile section forming the support web. The pallet or frame according to the invention can hereby have a lower, continuous, flat standing surface which is formed by lower walls of the support webs and by lower end surfaces of the frame walls. The footprint is advantageously not affected by the rivet heads of the rivet connections, since these are arranged concealed within the respective cavity. In addition, the base is preferably perpendicular to the planes defined by the frame walls, i.e. arranged parallel to a floor area defined by the floor insert. The smooth footprint of the pallet according to the invention is advantageous for stackability, which will be described in more detail below, since damage to the respective lower pallet is almost impossible. The pallet can also be moved on a flat surface.

Further advantageous design features of the invention are contained in the subclaims and the following description.

In the various drawing figures, the same parts are always designated with the same reference numbers.

A pallet 2 according to the invention shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a frame 4 and a bottom insert 6 detachably held in the frame 4. The frame 4 is preferably formed rectangularly from four frame walls 8 arranged perpendicular to the bottom surface.

As can be seen in particular in FIG. 3, the frame walls 8 consist of extruded hollow profiles 10, in particular of plastic. For detachable mounting of the bottom insert 6, the frame walls 8 now have, according to the invention, support webs 14, which protrude inwards into the area enclosed by the frame 4, and are designed as integrally molded hollow profile sections 12 for supporting the bottom insert 6. As a result, the bottom insert 6 need only be inserted into the frame 4 from above in the direction of the arrow 15 (FIG. 3). The support webs 14 have a high stability due to their design as hollow profile sections 12, which can be increased according to the invention in that the hollow profile sections 12 are each divided into at least two cavities 18 by at least one stiffening web 16, in particular approximately perpendicular to the floor plane. The stiffening web 16 extends in one piece between an upper wall 20 and a lower wall 22 of the hollow profile section 12. According to the invention, the upper wall 20 and the lower wall 22 of the hollow profile section 12 are molded directly onto an inner wall 23 of the hollow profile 10 forming the frame wall 8. The section 23a of the inner wall 23 which is thereby located between the upper and lower walls 20, 22 and is parallel to the stiffening web 16 advantageously also contributes to a very high rigidity and stability of the support web 14.

According to FIGS. 3 and 4, the support webs 14 in their upper sides facing the floor insert 6 each have holding grooves 24 running parallel to the frame walls 8. These holding grooves 24 are preferably formed by a bead-shaped course of the upper walls 20. The above-mentioned stiffening web 16 is preferably arranged in the region of these holding grooves 24. Furthermore, the bottom insert 6 has holding projections 26 on its underside resting on the support webs 14, which preferably engage in a form-fitting manner in the holding grooves 24. The retaining lugs 26 can be designed as longitudinal webs or as web sections. 3 - can also be formed by a bead-like configuration in the edge region of the bottom insert 6.

Advantageously, the lower walls 22 of the hollow profile sections 12 forming the support webs 14, together with lower end faces 28 of the frame walls 8, form a continuous, flat standing surface 30, which is preferably arranged perpendicular to the frame walls 8. According to FIG. 4, the base insert 6 in the edge area can be such be cranked that its lower surface 32 is arranged substantially on the plane defined by the standing surface 30 of the frame 4. As an alternative to this, it is shown in FIG. 3 that the lower surface 32 of the base insert 6 rests on the plane defined by the upper side of the upper wall 20 of the support webs 14.

To further increase the stability, the floor insert 6 is additionally connected to the support webs 14 via rivet connections 34, or else via other connecting means, such as screw connections, plastic plugs or the like, according to FIG. A blind rivet (cavity rivet) 36 is preferably provided in each case, which extends through the bottom insert 6 and through the upper wall 20 of the support web 14 into the cavity 18 of the hollow profile section 12 forming the support web 14. As a result, no disturbing rivet heads or the like are advantageously arranged in the region of the lower standing surface 30. Rather, the flat standing surface 30 is ensured due to the concealed blind rivets 36. The rivet connection 34 is only indicated in FIG. 4 by a chain line. Furthermore, in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, it can be particularly advantageous to arrange the rivet connection 34 in the region of the bead-shaped retaining projection 26, so that, in addition, a smooth surface of the bottom insert 6 is achieved without disturbing rivet heads or the like.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the base insert 6 is designed as a continuous base plate 38 which corresponds in size or surface shape to the surface enclosed by the frame 4. As an alternative to this, the floor insert 6 in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 consists of several, in particular two floor cross members 40 extending parallel to one another between opposite frame walls 8. Both the floor plate 38 and the floor Traverses 40 have expediently not shown approaches, elevations and / or depressions, which are used for precisely positioned accommodation of objects, also not shown. The floor traverses 40 preferably have upstanding lugs arranged in the manner of a comb in such a way that the gaps formed between the lugs are aligned in a direction perpendicular to the floor traverses 40. In this way, elongated objects can be placed on the floor cross members 30, which are then precisely fixed and positioned between the comb-like approaches. It is also within the scope of the invention to fasten correspondingly designed receiving parts as separate individual parts on the base plate 38 or on the crossbeams 40, for example “snap-on” via snap-in connections (not shown).

As can also be seen in FIG. 3, the hollow profiles 10 forming the frame walls 8 are advantageously subdivided into a plurality of cavities 44 one above the other via a plurality of stiffening webs 42 running in the longitudinal direction of the profile and parallel to the base surface. The cavity 18 of the support web 14 adjoining the frame wall 8 is separated from one of these cavities 44, specifically from the "bottom" cavity 44 closest to the lower end face 28 via the inner wall 23 of the hollow profile 10. Furthermore, the hollow profiles 10 advantageously have stiffening beads 50 running in the longitudinal direction of the profile, in particular in the area of the stiffening webs 42, on their inner sides 46 and also on their outer sides 48, in each case with respect to the frame 4.

Gemäß Fig. 1 und 2 besitzen zumindest zwei gegenüberliegende Rahmenwände 8 längliche Grifföffnungen 52. Gemäß Fig. 3 sind diese Grifföffnungen 52 vorzugsweise derart im Bereich zwischen zwei benachbarten Versteifungsstegen 42 des Hohlprofils 10 gebildet, daß die Versteifungsstege 42 die oberen und unteren Begrenzungen der Grifföffnungen 52 bilden.1 and 2, at least two opposite frame walls 8 have elongated handle openings 52. According to FIG. 3, these handle openings 52 are preferably formed in the region between two adjacent stiffening webs 42 of the hollow profile 10 in such a way that the stiffening webs 42 define the upper and lower boundaries of the handle openings 52 form.

The frame walls 8 can be non-detachably, in particular cohesively connected to one another in the corner regions of the frame 4. In the preferred embodiment of the invention shown, however, the frame walls 8 are detachably connected to one another via connector elements 54, as is illustrated in FIG. 6. In each corner region of the frame 4, one of these connector elements 54 is arranged, which consists of a corner body 56 which is adapted to the frame walls 8 in vertical cross section and which points in two directions arranged at right angles to one another and into the cavities 44 of the hollow profiles 10 and also into the cavities 18 in FIG Has bearing lugs 14 engaging plug-in lugs 58 from the open profile end face. Because this connection according to the invention also takes place in the area of the support lugs 14, their stability is also increased in such a way that particularly heavy objects can also be accommodated. The connector elements 54 can also be connected to the frame walls 8 via snap-in connections or integrally (then inseparably). The assembly of the frame 4 can be carried out very simply and quickly by the invention, in that only one frame wall 8 and one connector element 54 need to be plugged together in the direction of the arrows 59 shown in FIG. 6.

In a particularly advantageous development of the invention, the pallet 2 is stackable and in particular is self-centering and self-fixing. This is achieved according to the invention in that the frame 4 has guide webs 60 which are each formed in a negative contour to one another in the region of its upper and lower edges (see in particular FIGS. 3 and 5). These guide webs 60 run in the longitudinal direction of the frame walls 8 and each have a maximum thickness corresponding to half the thickness of the frame walls 8. One of the guide webs 60 is arranged in alignment with the outside 48 of the frame walls 8 and the other guide web 60 with the inside 46 of the frame walls 8. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the upper guide web 60 is arranged in the outer region and the lower guide web 60 in the inner region of the frame walls 8. It is particularly advantageous if, in the stacked state - as shown in Fig. 5 - facing side surfaces 62 of the side-by-side guide webs 60 of two stacked pallets 2 or frames 4 are arranged obliquely such that the guide webs 60 are in the direction of their free Taper ends. The width of the guide webs 60 is such that there is a side play of approximately 1 mm between the guide webs 60 of two stacked pallets 2 or frames 4. The guide webs 60 have an upper end surface 64 or the already mentioned lower end surface 28, with which they come to rest in the stacked state on flat support surfaces 66 of the other frame 4 which are adjacent to the guide webs 60.

This advantageous embodiment ensures that when a pallet 2 is placed in the direction of arrow 68 according to FIG. 5 on a lower pallet 2, there is a positive guidance via inclined insertion surfaces (side surfaces 62 of the guide webs 60) such that the upper pallet due to the oblique side surfaces 62 of the Guide webs 60 when placed in the direction of arrow 68 exactly in an alignment with the lower pallet ge leads (self-centering). This is particularly advantageous for the desired, precise positioning. The guide webs 60 thus facilitate both the slip-free placement and the removal of the pallets 2.

As already mentioned above, the frame 4 is preferably made of plastic. The floor insert 6 is preferably also made of plastic or aluminum.

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown and described, but also encompasses all embodiments having the same effect in the sense of the invention.
