Le dispositif de verrouillage a non seulement pour effet de maintenir accrochés la pièce terminale 1 et le godet 17, mais également de maintenir une tension permanente tendant à appliquer le godet 17 contre la pièce terminale 1. En raison de cette tension et des rampes des saillies d'accrochage, tout jeu dû à l'usure est automatiquement rattrapé, de sorte que l'attache reste parfaitement rigide. Connection of a tool at the end of an earth-moving machine or the like having a jib equipped with an articulated end piece (1) intended to receive the tool (17), wherein the end piece is provided with two pairs of profiled parts (11, 12) having each a ramp (13, 14, 15, 16) inclined in the direction of engagement of the end piece into the tool (17), the profiled parts of the end piece engaging under two pairs of corresponding profiled parts (20, 21, 22, 23), also having ramps (13, 16), of the tool, the ramps of the end piece applying on the ramps of the tool when the end piece is engaged into the tool, the ramps (13, 16) of the tool having, with respect to the tool, the same slope as that of the ramps (13, 14, 15, 16) of the end piece, the connection comprising a locking member (32, 33, 34; 43) for locking the end piece on the tool, characterized by the fact that the pair of profiled parts (11, 12) of the end piece (1) are formed on two lateral faces of the end piece, that the pairs of profiled parts (20, 21, 22, 23) of the tool are formed on the flanks of two parallel ribs (18, 19) which are spaced apart by a distance corresponding to the width of the end piece and that the connection further comprises mechanical means (37; 46, 48, 44, 45) maintaining a prestress on the locking member, said prestress maintaining on the end piece a thrust in the direction (F) of the engagement of the end piece into the tool in order to maintain the end piece applied against the tool.
  2. Connection as claimed in claim 1, characterized by the fact that the locking member consists of a central piece (32) equipped with two arms (33, 34), the ends of which each engage in a housing (30, 31) of the tool and bear, in addition, by way of an intermediate boss in the form of a cam (35, 36), against said end piece (1), the central piece furthermore being equipped with a tie rod (37) which engages with the end piece in order to exert a tension on the central piece of the locking means.
  3. Connection as claimed in claim 1, characterized by the fact that said locking member consists of a transverse bar (43) having, at least at its ends, a wedge-shaped profile which engages in two notches (44, 45) provided in said parallel ribs (18, 19), in such a way that said bar bears against the end piece, and the lateral projections of this piece respectively, and that the mechanical prestress means consists of a tie rod (46) attached to the end piece and tending to pull said bar in the direction of the bottom of the notches.
  4. Connection as claimed in claim 1, characterized by the fact that said locking member consists of a pair of catches mounted so as to slide in a transverse groove of the end piece (1) and engaging with an oblique flank in two housings provided in said parallel ribs (18, 19), the prestress means being provided between the catches in order to exert a permanent axial pressure on the catches.
  5. Connection as claimed in claim 4, characterized by the fact that the means for exerting a pressure on the catches consists of a spring working under compression between the catches, mechanical means being provided for compressing the spring in order to free the catches.
  6. Connection as claimed in claim 4, characterized by the fact that the means for exerting a pressure on the catches consists of an hydraulical or pneumatical double-acting jack.
