Zum Aufziehen wird das Verglasungsprofil vorzugsweise unter Temperaturerhöhung elastisch gedehnt. Dementsprechend wird das Material des Verglasungsprofils so ausgewählt, daß es bei ausreichender Festigkeit sich durch ein produktionstechnisch vertretbares Erwärmen und einer gewissen Eigenelastizität hinreichend dehnen läßt. Dieser Aufziehvorgang ist also vergleichbar mit dem Aufziehen eines Reifens auf eine Felge. Das Verglasungsprofil seinerseits wird stumpf mit einem U-Schenkel auf den Flügelrahmen aufgesetzt.
