Definitions

  • the invention relates to a threading and thread changing device for thread guides, in particular for flat knitting machines, which have at least one thread guide channel, the inlet opening of which is aligned with a thread blowing nozzle of the device.
  • the invention has for its object to combine such a device with a thread changing device and to design so that it works reliably.
  • the object is achieved with a device of the type mentioned in the invention with the features listed in the characterizing part of the main claim.
  • the combined threading and thread changing device allows automatic loading of the thread guides and an automatic change of the threads guided by them.
  • the device designed according to the invention because a separate thread guide no longer has to be provided for each color or type of yarn used; or the device allows the use of a number of different threads, the number the thread guide to be used on the machine.
  • the device can be arranged stationary, so that the thread guides must be fed to it for loading or for changing the thread.
  • the device with its several parts can also be designed to be movable, so that it can be brought to the thread guides.
  • the threading and thread changing device is designed so that a knitting machine does not have to be stopped to insert a thread into a thread guide or to change the thread.
  • the high level of operational safety required here is achieved by a simple construction of the device, the thread metering part having a thread loop former common to all threads in the form of a blow nozzle bar running transversely to all the threads and arranged above the plurality of thread loop regions.
  • a mechanically effective thread retraction web which can be lowered into the adjacent plurality of thread loop regions, can also be provided as the thread loop former.
  • each thread By means of the blow nozzle bar or the thread retraction web, supply loops for each thread are formed in the thread measuring device to a length which is sufficient to bring a thread to be inserted through the thread guide into the additional clamping device, or out of the thread guide into the nozzle head behind the blow nozzle withdraw again.
  • the thread clamping points in front of and behind each of the thread loop regions of the thread measuring device which are advantageously all arranged next to one another, can advantageously each have a spring-loaded movable clamping jaw, which is coupled to a pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical or also mechanical adjusting element.
  • the thread clamping points either ensure that a formed thread loop remains secured as long as the thread in question is not inserted, or that the thread can be drawn from a supply spool or withdrawn from a thread guide via the nozzle head to form the thread loop, or that an inserted thread has a free passage through the thread metering part.
  • 1 to 5 show the individual parts of the threading and thread changing device in connection with a thread guide of a flat knitting machine in different operating states, which the device assumes in the course of a thread change.
  • the threading and thread changing device arranged on a schematically indicated, stationary or movable carrier 10 has a nozzle head 11, a thread metering part 12 and an additional thread clamping and cutting device 13.
  • the device allows a change between several individual threads, but only the parts for two threads 14 and 15 are shown for reasons of clarity.
  • the figures show a flat knitting machine in a schematic representation of a needle bed 16, a thread guide rail 17 and a thread guide 18 arranged longitudinally adjustable on the thread guide rail 17 with a thread guide carriage 19 and a thread guide arm 20.
  • the thread guide 18 has on its thread guide arm 20 a thread outlet opening 21 and a left and a right thread inlet opening 22 and 23, wherein separate thread guide channels 24 can run between the thread inlet openings 22, 23 and the thread outlet opening 21 in the thread guide arm 20.
  • the nozzle head 11 has a separate inlet channel 25, 26 for each thread of the device with subsequent expansion, all of which lead to a common blowing space 27 which ends in a common blowing nozzle 28 which is aligned with the thread inlet openings 22 or 23 of the thread guide 18.
  • the compressed air is fed to the nozzle head 11 via a feed line 29, which leads via a valve device, not shown.
  • the thread metering part 12 of the device has a plate-like guide body 30.1, 30.2 for each thread 14, 15.
  • the guide bodies 30 are arranged next to one another perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
  • the two guide bodies 30.1 and 30.2 are shown offset from one another in the figures only for reasons of clarity.
  • the guide bodies 30, here 30.1, 30.2, have a deep indentation in their central part for a thread loop region 31, here 31.1, 31.2, and a common thread loop former, here a pneumatic one in the form of a blow nozzle bar 32, extends over these thread loop regions 31 of the guide bodies 30 , with the help of which the threads 14 and 15 can be blown into the thread loop regions 31 to form a thread loop 14.1 or 15.1.
  • a thread clamping point with a movable clamping jaws 33, 34 is arranged in front of and behind each thread loop region 31.
  • the thread clamping points of each guide body 30 can be controlled separately, in this case the front thread clamping jaw 33.1 and the rear thread clamping jaw 34.1 of the guide body 30.1 for the thread 14 and the front clamping jaw 33.2 and the rear clamping jaw 34.2 of the guide body 30.2 for the thread 15.
  • the movable thread jaws 34 are pneumatically adjustable in the illustrated embodiment and with a Adjusting piston 35 coupled, which is held in the open state by means of a compression spring 36 in the idle state.
  • the movable clamping jaws 33, 34 are thus brought into the clamping position by compressed air supply, which is indicated in the figures by compressed air arrows 37.
  • the additional thread clamping and cutting device 13 has a thread clamp 39 with a movable jaw, which is adjustable here by means of an electromagnet 38, and a pair of scissors 40 with a movable blade, which is also adjustable by means of an electromagnet 41.
  • the threading and thread changing device is assigned a control device, not shown here, with which the sequential and coordinated control of the individual drive parts of the device is effected.
  • FIG. 1 shows the thread guide 18 to be equipped with the thread 14, with the thread inlet opening 23 of its thread guide arm 20 docked onto the blowing nozzle 28 of the nozzle head 11.
  • the nozzle head 11 is already placed under compressed air, which flows through the feed line 29 into the blowing space 27, into the blowing nozzle 28 and from there into the thread guide channel 24 of the thread guide arm 20 and detects the end of the thread 14 located in the nozzle head 11.
  • the front movable clamping jaw 33.1 of the guide body 30.1 of the thread metering part 12 is in the open position, so that the thread 14 can be taken into the thread guide arm 20 by lifting the thread loop 14.1 from the air flow.
  • the length of the thread loop 14.1 is dimensioned such that it is sufficient to bring the beginning of the thread 14 through the thread outlet opening 21 of the thread guide 18 into the thread clamp 39, as shown in FIG. 2.
  • After closing the thread clamp 39 is in the thread metering part 12 also opens the rear movable clamping jaw 34.1 of the guide body 30.1 associated with the thread 14, whereupon the thread guide 18 according to FIG. 3 can be uncoupled from the nozzle head 11 with the thread 14 being pulled and pulled in and moved on its guide rail 17.
  • the additional thread clamp 39 can be opened so that the thread start can fall out of the thread clamp 39.
  • the thread guide 18 is docked again on the nozzle head 11.
  • the thread 14 guided by the thread guide 18 is inserted into the thread scissors 40.
  • the rear thread clamping jaws 34.1 are closed, so that thread 14 can no longer be drawn into the nozzle head 11.
  • the thread scissors 40 are then actuated and cut through the thread 14. This state can be seen in FIG. 5.
  • compressed air is fed to the nozzle bar 32, and the thread 14 is thus inserted again into a thread loop 14.1 in the thread loop region 31.1 of the guide body 30.1, the thread loop being formed only by pulling the thread 14 out of the thread guide arm 20 into the nozzle head 11 can be, since only the front jaw 33.1 is open.
  • the front jaw 33.1 is closed and thus the newly formed thread loop 14.1 is secured.
  • the front clamping jaw 33.2 of the guide body 30.2 assigned to the thread 15 is opened, whereupon the thread 15 by means of compressed air from the blowing nozzle 11 while lifting the thread loop 15.1 into the thread guide 18 can be blown into the area of the thread clamp 39. Then the process described above is repeated.
