Description

Process for applying a permanent or lilac sea wave to hair that has previously been treated with permanent or water waves, and curlers for carrying out the process.

The invention relates to a method for applying a permanent or water wave to hair that has already been treated previously using water curlers, using curlers, the body of which has an outer longitudinal section adjacent to a middle, flexible longitudinal section that remains in the respective position, whereby one strand of hair each, starting with the tips of the hair, is wound onto the body of the hair, then the body of the hair is fixed in a rotationally fixed manner with respect to adjacent hair curlers and / or the hop and then a permanent or water-wave liquid is applied to the wound hair. The invention further relates to a hair curler which is said to be particularly suitable for carrying out this method. In the case of one type of hair curler for permanent or water waves, the winding body as a whole consists of essentially rigid material, usually plastic. After a strand of hair (passé) separated from the other hair is wound up by turning the winding body about its axis on its outer surface up to the hairline, the winding body must with the strand of hair wound on it can be fixed against loosening. There are different types of fixing elements for this purpose. In other known hair curlers for producing permanent and water waves, the winding body has grid-like openings. A needle serves as the fixing element.

After a strand of hair has been wound onto the winding body, the needle is inserted through the wound strand of hair and the openings in the winding body. It can then be inserted into the openings of an already fixed adjacent hair curler, or it can be supported on the head with its end.

Furthermore, hair curlers are also known which have at one or both ends a fixing lever which can be rotated about the longitudinal axis of the winding body, a spring-loaded ratchet being provided between the latter and the winding body. After the strand of hair has been wound onto the winding body, the fixing lever is supported on the head and the spring-loaded ratchet prevents the hair curler from turning back.

In another type of curlers, the winding body consists of a central wire core and a flexible and flexible body surrounding the wire core made of viscoelastic plastic (DE-PS 35 39 803 and DE-OS 32 34 672). In this type of curlers, the strand of hair is wound on a part of the same with the bobbin stretched so that another part remains free. Treatment liquid is understood here to mean a permanent or water wave liquid with a relatively intensive effect. Since the pretreated hair sections are located above the area of the untreated hair sections, treatment liquid is also prevented from flowing from the untreated hair sections to the pretreated hair sections. There is also no application of intensively acting treatment liquid to those hair sections which are located on the longitudinal sections angled upwards. This prevents hair sections that have been permanently or waterwell-treated from coming into contact with intensively acting treatment liquid. Damage to hair is thus avoided with certainty. In contrast, the regrown straight hair sections, which had not previously been treated with permanent or water wave liquid, are soaked in the desired manner with the intensive treatment liquid.

The process can also be carried out in such a way that the pretreated hair sections, which are essentially on the vertically protruding longitudinal sections are wound up, a mild permanent or water-wave liquid, or possibly also a care liquid. The mild treatment liquid can be used to gently activate the remaining perm in the pretreated hair tips and the middle section of the hair, if this is necessary. But you can also apply a care product to the pretreated hair sections. In principle, known hair curlers would also be suitable for carrying out the method according to the invention, the winding bodies of which over their entire length consist of a central wire core and a flexible and flexible body surrounding the wire core made of viscous, elastic plastic (DE-PS 35 39 803 and DE-OS 32 34 672) exists. However, since this handling requires some skill in both winding and bending, the invention is also based on the task of creating a hair roller that is particularly suitable for carrying out the method.

Starting from a hair curler for permanent and water waves of the type mentioned at the outset, this is achieved in that the winding body has a first longitudinal section made of rigid material, on which the fixing element is arranged or engages, and in that this first, rigid longitudinal section one end is connected to a second, flexible longitudinal section, which consists of a flexible central body arranged around a central wire core, made of a viscoelastic plastic, so that it is after a. With this new hair curler, hair that has already undergone permanent or water wave treatment one or more times, starting with the hair tips, is wound on the flexible longitudinal section of the winding body. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the two ends of the flexible longitudinal section 3 are each connected to a rigid longitudinal section 2. The connection can be made in a manner similar to that described above. The longitudinal sections 2 correspond in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 in their embodiment to the longitudinal sections 2 of the previously described embodiment. However, they can also be designed like the longitudinal sections 2a or 2b of the exemplary embodiments shown in FIGS. 3 and 4.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the rigid longitudinal section 2a has grid-like openings 11. This rigid longitudinal section 2a can also consist of plastic. The connection to the flexible longitudinal section 3 can be made in the manner described above.

A needle 12 is provided as the fixing element and can be inserted through the openings. This needle 12 can be used to fix a hair roller after winding up a strand of hair through the openings 11 of this hair roller and can also be inserted into the corresponding openings in the rigid longitudinal section of an adjacent hair roller. In this way, both curlers are rotatably fixed. However, it is also possible to insert the needle 12 only through the openings 11 of a longitudinal section 2a and to let the end of the needle rest on the head. A ratchet 15, 16 loaded by the spring 1k is provided between the fixing lever and the longitudinal section 2. The ratchet consists of a multiplicity of α teeth 16 provided on the free end of the rigid longitudinal section 2b and a wedge 15 provided on the fixing lever 13 and wedging into the tooth gaps 15. The spring 15 presses the wedge 15 into the tooth gaps between the teeth 16 and thus the fixing lever 13 secured against rotation with respect to the longitudinal section 2b. When winding up a strand of hair, rotation of the fixing lever 13 with respect to the longitudinal section 2b is possible with some resistance. The teeth 16 can also be sawtooth-shaped, so that the rotation of the fixing lever 13 is facilitated in one direction and blocked in the other. After a strand of hair is wound up to the hairline, the free end of the fixing lever 13 is supported on the head and thus secures the curler 1b against rotation.

The rigid longitudinal sections 2, 2a, 2b can have any cross sections and they can also correspond in the longitudinal direction to the shapes of conventional hair curlers, e.g. cylindrical, conical.

The handling of the new hair curler is described below with reference to FIG. 5. It is assumed here that hair that has already undergone one or more permanent or water wave treatments should be treated again with a permanent or water wave.

Such a new treatment is necessary because the hair has grown back to a length of about 4 - 8 cm after the previous permanent or water wave treatment are, depending on how long ago the previous treatment was. This regrown part of the hair at the hairline is smooth, while the middle section and the

Hair tips are curled from the previous treatment. As a result, these previously treated hair sections are not softened and reshaped by applying a permanent or water wave liquid. In order to avoid damage to the hair structure of the previously treated hair sections, it is rather advisable that these previously treated hair sections do not come into contact again with permanent or water wave liquid.

In order to achieve this, one begins with the winding of the hair tips S at the free end of the flexible longitudinal section 3 and then also winds the previously treated central section M spirally or, more precisely, helically onto the flexible longitudinal section 3. This winding on the flexible longitudinal section 3 is continued until the entire, previously permanent or water wave-treated hair length is wound on the flexible section 3 and only the hair section A with straight hair at the hairline is present. This hair section A, which has not previously undergone permanent or water wave treatment, is finally wound up essentially on the rigid longitudinal section 2. In order to prevent treatment liquid from penetrating into the hair sections M and S by capillary action, it is expedient to use a permanent or water wave liquid with a higher, approximately gel-like viscosity. The new hair curler can also be used for coloring hair tips. In this case too, the hair is wound up as described above and the flexible longitudinal section is bent upwards. In this case, coloring compound is then applied to those hair sections which are located on the longitudinal section which is upwardly bent.
