Description

The invention relates to a goods sales shelf with a goods space, in the upper region of which a mirror is arranged along the longitudinal direction of the furniture.

Such sales furniture with a shelf structure generally have several levels of display shelves arranged one above the other. They can be used to store and present all types of goods that are offered for sale. In addition to simple shelves for uncooled goods, refrigerated versions are also known, in which a cooling air curtain is built up on the front of the shelves and, in addition, cooling air is led from the back of the furniture over the display shelves. These are preferably installed in retail businesses in the food industry and often contain dairy products or other perishable products.

In order to offer the customer an improved view of the goods that are placed on the top shelf of the goods room, mirrors are attached to the goods display shelves. In accordance with their purpose, they are generally not aligned vertically or horizontally, but at an angle. As a rule, they form an angle of approximately 45 ° with the vertical rear wall.

The problem that water condenses on the surface of the mirror frequently arises, especially in high humidity. Precipitation can blind its surface to such an extent that it can no longer serve its purpose. With larger amounts of condensed water, there are even hygienic problems caused by dripping water.

The invention has for its object to improve a goods sales shelf of the type mentioned in such a way that the condensation of water on the mirror surface is avoided as much as possible.

This object is achieved by an air guiding device through which air is guided over the surface of the mirror.

The air flow causes a constant and effective heat exchange between the mirror surface and the neighboring air. A significant temperature difference between the air and the mirror cannot occur. The continuous exchange of air also largely prevents air that is completely saturated with water from being in contact with the mirror surface for a long time. This means that condensation no longer occurs - even in high humidity.

The advantages of the invention are particularly evident in the case of cooled variants of the goods sales shelf. In this case, it is particularly advantageous if, in a further development of the inventive concept, the goods space is cooled by cold air and part of the cold air is guided over the surface of the mirror by the air guiding device.

The goods stored and presented in the goods room are cooled by cold air, which is led from the back to the front over the displays. For this purpose, the rear wall of the cooling shelf has air outlet openings.

In the upper area of the goods room, the mirror, together with the rear wall and ceiling surface of the furniture, encloses an intermediate space with an approximately triangular cross section. In this intermediate space, too, cold air flows in through the air outlet openings from a cooling air duct behind the rear wall and past the rear and the edges of the mirror.

As a result, the mirror is generally cooled more than the air on its surface facing the goods area. Experiments have shown that isolating the back of the mirror alone does not solve this problem. Only with the stream of cold and thus dry air according to the invention, which sweeps over the surface of the mirror, is it possible to effectively avoid the formation of condensate.

Air that rises, warms and is therefore humid is kept out of the cold air by the veil. It has been shown that condensation formation on the mirror surface can be practically completely avoided in this way even under extreme conditions of outside temperature and air humidity.

It is advantageous if the mirror is arranged obliquely to the horizontal and the air guiding device is designed such that air is guided tangentially from below over the surface of the mirror.

This can be achieved in that the air guiding device is designed such that air is deflected around the lower edge of the mirror in a direction essentially parallel to the surface of the mirror.

The air guiding device is advantageously arranged in the vicinity of the lower edge of the mirror and cold air flowing out of the space between the mirror and the rear wall is deflected around the lower edge in a direction essentially parallel to the surface of the mirror.

It is also advantageous if the air guide device has a first guide surface which is arranged essentially parallel to the surface of the mirror. The first guide surface is used to create a laminar flow veil on the surface of the mirror.

This is expediently supplemented by a second guide surface which is arranged essentially perpendicular to the surface of the mirror. The second guide surface helps prevent turbulence when the air is deflected around the lower edge of the mirror.

The two guide surfaces preferably hang together and extend over the entire length of the mirror. They thus enclose, together with the lower end face of the mirror and the lower section of its surface, a space which serves as an air duct. The lower edge of the second guide surface and the rear edge of the first are preferably connected to one another.

The air from the space between the mirror and the rear wall flows approximately vertically downwards. Since the mirror and thus in general also the first guide surface are arranged obliquely to the vertical, a flow divider is recommended for tapping the air passed by the mirror, which at least partially introduces air flowing out between the mirror and the rear wall into the air guide device. The remaining air flows further down into the goods room. The flow divider preferably consists of a vertically arranged surface.

Dabei schließt sich der obere Rand der zweiten Leitfläche an den unteren Bereich des Strömungsteilers an.Again, it is favorable if the two guide surfaces and the flow divider are connected and extend essentially over the entire length of the mirror. The upper edge of the second guide surface adjoins the lower area of the flow divider.

According to a development of the invention, the mirror is connected at its lower edge via a plurality of local holders distributed along the longitudinal direction to a holding rail which extends essentially over the entire length of the mirror.

At least two such local holders must be provided. Holding rail and flow divider are preferably formed by the same component. The local holders may only have a limited longitudinal expansion, since at this point no air can be guided past the lower edge of the mirror tangentially to the surface. Relatively narrow hooks are preferably used.

The holding rail should be connected to an adjusting rail by means of two brackets.

Such adjusting rails are present anyway to accommodate consoles that support the display shelves on which the goods are placed. For a section between two adjusting rails, two brackets are required, between which the holding rail runs. The holding rail and brackets are preferably rigidly connected to one another, for example by means of a weld seam.

The cooled goods display shelf shown in its entirety in FIG. 1 has a goods room 1, in which goods can be stored on display shelves 17 and a lower goods display 18 below the ambient temperature. A mirror 4 is arranged above the top display, which preferably extends over the entire longitudinal extent (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 1) of the furniture. The mirror 4 is inclined 0 ° to 50 °, preferably approximately 45 ° with respect to the vertical, and is insulated on the back (20). Below the lower goods display 18 are devices (not shown) for cooling and circulating air. From there, cold air 3a is led upwards behind a rear wall 2 and flows through air outlet openings from behind (in FIG. 1, left, arrows 3) or above (arrows 3b) into the goods area 1.

Part of this cooling air enters the intermediate space 7, which is enclosed by the rear of the mirror 4, the rear wall 2 and a ceiling surface. This part of the cold air can flow past the mirror 4 above (arrow 3c) or at the lower edge 6 (arrow 8).

The suspension of the mirror can best be seen in FIGS. 2 and 3.

In Figure 2, the cutting plane is placed so that it cuts through an adjusting rail 16. The rear wall 2 which is offset somewhat to the front (on the right in the drawing) is therefore shown in a side view, so that the air outlet openings through which cold air 3 flows are not visible.

In Figure 3, the cutting plane runs between two brackets. (A console 15 can be seen in the background in a side view.)

In the area of the lower edge 6 of the mirror 4, a holding rail 13 extends essentially over the entire length (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing) of the mirror 4. It is connected to at least two points with a bracket 15, which is suspended in an adjusting rail (eg 16) is. The holding rail now carries several local holders 14, one of which is shown in a side view in FIG. The local holders 14 have only a small longitudinal extent (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing), for example 15 to 60 mm. In general, about two to three hooks per meter of mirror length are provided, so that those sections on which the lower edge 6 is surrounded by a local holder 14 represent only a marginal part of the total length of the mirror 4. Most of the lower edge 6 remains free and can be flowed from the space 7 by cold air 8, 8b.

Die Längsausdehnung der Luftleitvorrichtung 5 (senkrecht zur Zeichenebene der Figuren) entspricht im wesentlichen derjenigen des Spiegels 4.According to the invention, an air guiding device 5 is provided for the deflection of air from the intermediate space 7. It comprises a flow divider which is formed by the holding rail 13, a first guide surface 11 and a second guide surface 12. The longitudinal extent of the air guide device 5 (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in the figures) corresponds essentially to that of the mirror 4.

The flow divider 13 divides the air flow 8 coming from the intermediate space 7 into two partial flows 8a and 8b. The rear partial air flow 8a serves for additional cooling air supply to the goods area 1. The generally smaller partial air flow 8b is guided through an air duct 19 which is formed by the air guiding device 5 on the one hand and by the lower part 6 of the mirror 4 on the other hand. The air is first deflected through the second guide surface 12 by approximately 45 °. The second guide surface 12 is arranged perpendicular to the mirror surface 9, that is to say inclined at approximately 45 ° to the vertical. This is followed by a further deflection through the guide surface 11 parallel to the mirror surface 9, which is perpendicular to the second guide surface 12 and parallel to the mirror surface 9.

The air emerging from the air channel 19 now has a flow direction parallel to the mirror surface 9 and sweeps tangentially over it (arrow 10).

The application of cold and thus dry air from the cooling air circuit to the mirror 4 prevents fogging of the mirror surface 9.

Other forms of an air guiding device 5 are of course also conceivable. For example, the two guide surfaces 11, 12 and possibly additionally the flow divider 13 merge into one another without edges. The air guiding device can e.g. consist of a round bent sheet.
