Ferner ist die Vorrichtung mit einer elektrischen Heizung des Schneidgliedes versehen, welche in Abhängigkeit von der Stellung des Schneidelementes bzw Schneidgliedes steuerbar ist . Nimmt der Schneidwiderstand zu, so wird das Schneidglied in Laufrichtung der Materialbahn verschwenkt , wobei einerseits die Vorspannkraft zunimmt und andererseits die Heizleistung erhöht wird, um auch bei erhöhtem Widerstand die Materialbahn zu schneiden. Nachteilig ist es jedoch, dass im Falle eines durch Fehler in der Materialbahn bedingten besonders hohen Schneidwiderstandes oder beim Ausfallen des Heizstromes das Schneidglied die Materialbahn nicht mehr schneiden kann, wodurch das Schneidgl ied und gegebenenf alls der ganze Schneidkopf beschädigt oder zerstört wird. Uebersteigt der Schneidwiderstand beispielsweise infolge Stromausfall an dem Schneidglied oder Fehler in der Materialbahn den normalen Schneidwiderstand bei ordnungsgemässen Betrieb, oder bei einem Bruch des Schneidgliedes, z.B. Schneiddrahtes so wird die Rastvorrichtung ausgelöst und das Schneidglied gelangt ausser Eingriff mit der Materialbahn. Dadurch wird eine Beschädigung oder Zerstörung einerseits des Schneidkopfes mit seinen Elementen und andererseits der Materialbahn vermieden. Der Befestigungsfuss 10a enthält weiter einen unteren Fussteil 68, der die Profilschiene 56 untergreift und die Rastvorrichtung 14b trägt. Diese enthält ein kugelartiges Rastelement 70, welches mittels einer Feder 72 gegen eine Rille 74 in der Profilschiene 56 vorgespannt ist. Claims

P A T E N T A N S P R Ü C H E PATENT CLAIMS
1. Vorrichtung zum thermischen Schneiden einer laufenden Materialbahn (2) aus thermoplastischem Material, mit mindestens einem mittels eines Befestigungsfusses (10, 10a) an einem Träger (6, 6a) angeordneten Schneidkopf (8, 8a, 8b), der ein in die Materialbahn (2) eintauchendes, beheiztes Schneidglied (36) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Befestigungsfuss (10, 10a) mittels einer Rastvorrichtung (14, 14a, 14b) am Träger (6, 6a) befestigt ist, deren Rückhaltekraft in Laufrichtung der Materialbahn (2) im wesentlichen der Kraft des bestimmungsgemässen Schneidwiderstandes des Schneidgliedes (36) an der Materialbahn (2) entspricht derart, dass das Schneidglied (36) bei nicht bestimmungsgemässem Schneidwiderstand an der Materialbahn (2) ausser Eingriff kommt. 1.
