Abstract

Zum anderen soll bei nicht ganz zu verhindernder Verschleißanfälligkeit durch den Radkranz ein eventuell notwendiger Austausch des Dichtprofils lediglich im Oberflächenbereich der abzudichtenden Fuge erfolgen, wobei gleichzeitig die Zugänglichkeit zu den Schienenbefestigungen gewährleistet sein muß. Der Festigkeitsträger besteht dabei aus Stahl oder biegesteifem Kunststoff, wobei zweckmäßigerweise ein Rohr mit einer Mindestwandstärke von 2 mm eingesetzt wird. Claims (18)

  1. A flange groove sealing device, consisting of
    a) a sealing profile (11) which is of elastomeric material and provided with clamping-ribs (13, 14) and profile feet (15, 16), for sealing the gap (region A) between the wheel-flange side (5) of the rail and the level-crossing slab (9) at rail height, the sealing profile exhibiting in the region B of the wheel flange an open or closed flange groove; as: well as
       being characterized by
    b) a strengthening support (17) which rums right through in the direction longitudinal to the rails and is arranged between the profile feet (15, 16) of the sealing profile (11); and by
    c) a filler profile (18) of elastomeric material which lies in stages between the rail fasteners (6, 7), so that the profile feet (15, 16) as also the strengthening support (17) are seated upon the filler profile.
  2. A flange groove sealing device as in Claim 1
       characterized in that the strengthening support (17) has a minimum average thickness of 40 mm.
  3. A flange groove sealing device as in Claim 1 or 2,
       characterized in that the strengthening support (17) consists of steel or of plastics resistant to bending.
  4. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 3,
       characterized in that the strengthening support (17) is a tube.
  5. A flange groove sealing device as in Claim 4,
       characterized in that the minimum wall thickness of the tube amounts to 2 mm.
  6. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 5,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) exhibits a Shore A hardness of from 55 to 65°.
  7. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 6,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) exhibits a breaking load of from 15 to 20 daN/cm².
  8. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 7,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) exhibits a breaking elongation of from 400 to 600%.
  9. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 8,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) exhibits a tear propagation strength of from 9 to 12 daN/cm.
  10. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 9,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) exhibits a residual compression strain of from 10 to 20%.
  11. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 10,
       characterized in that in the case of a closed flange groove the sealing profile (11) exhibits a channel (12) of oval shape running longitudinally.
  12. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 11,
       characterized in that the filler profile (18) exhibits a groove (21) in which the strengthening support (17) is seated and at the same time anchored.
  13. A flange groove sealing device as in Claim 12,
       characterized in that the maximum depth d of the groove (21) amounts to ≦ half the thickness of the strengthening support (or respectively half the outer diameter D in the case of a tube).
  14. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 13,
       characterized in that at both sides the filler profile (18) exhibits elevations (22, 23) so that the profile feet (15, 16) are clamped in between these elevations and the strengthening support (17).
  15. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 14,
       characterized in that the filler profile (18) exhibits channels (19, 20) running longitudinally.
  16. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 15,
       characterized in that the filler profile (18) exhibits an inclined plane (24) which runs into the level-crossing slab (9).
  17. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 16,
       characterized in that the filler profile (18) exhibits a Shore A hardness of from 55 to 70°.
  18. A flange groove sealing device as in one of the Claims 1 to 17,
       characterized in that the sealing profile (11) and also the filler profile (18) consist of a rubber mixture on a base of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), polychloroprene (CR), ethylene-propylene-diene copolymer (EPDM), nitrile rubber (NBR). silicone rubber or other types of rubber resistant to swelling, weather and chemicals.
