- Procédé pour la fabrication de charnières en forme de gorge d'un côté et en forme de bourrelet de l'autre côté, réalisées dans un matériau plat de carton éventuellement revêtu d'une feuille de matière plastique, de papier, de bande textile et/ou de cuir, par lequel le matériau plat est refoulé du côté gorge par une arête de refoulement plongeant dans ledit matériau plat, et en même temps plié avec formation de la gorge et déformé par flexion, du côté bourrelet, sur deux arêtes de pliage situées à égale distance de part et d'autre de l'arête de refoulement, respectivement autour d'une arête de pliage parallèle à l'arête de refoulement, dans la direction opposée au pli, avec formation des bords extérieurs de bourrelet, la distance entre les arêtes de pliage étant réduite pendant la plongée de l'arête de refoulement dans le matériau plat, caractérisé en ce que les parties de matériau plat (12') qui dépassent latéralement des bords extérieurs du bourrelet sont enserrées indépendamment l'une de l'autre à des points de serrage situés à proximité des arêtes de pliage (44) voisines et déplacées de manière alignée l'une vers l'autre au moment de la plongée de l'arête de refoulement (48) dans le matériau plat (12), et que les points de serrage coïncident au début de la plongée avec l'arête de pliage (44) et se déplacent, au cours de la réduction de la distance entre les arêtes de pliage, sans friction de glissement, vers l'extérieur sur les parties de matériau plat (12') qui dépassent des bords extérieurs du bourrelet.

- Dispositif pour la fabrication de charnières en forme de gorge d'un côté et en forme de bourrelet de l'autre côté, réalisées dans un matériau plat de carton éventuellement revêtu d'une feuille de matière plastique, de papier, de bande textile et/ou de cuir, comprenant deux outils (18, 22) qui agissent à partir de deux côtés opposés sur le matériau plat (12), peuvent être déplacés l'un par rapport à l'autre et sont conformés de préférence en outils supérieur et inférieur, dont le premier outil (18) comporte une languette de refoulement (14) allongée disposée au milieu et formant une arête de refoulement et de pliage (48), ainsi que deux surfaces d'appui (46) placées à côté de la languette de refoulement (14), pour les parties de matériau plat (12') qui dépassent latéralement des charnières (10) à réaliser, et dont le second outil (22) est équipé de deux mâchoires de pliage (20) allongées décalées de part et d'autre par rapport à la languette de refoulement (14) et présentant à chaque fois une arête de pliage (44) parallèle à l'arête de refoulement et de pliage (48), les mâchoires de pliage pouvant être déplacées, pendant le mouvement de translation relatif des outils (18, 22), l'une vers l'autre en direction de la languette de refoulement (14), caractérisé en ce que les mâchoires de pliage (20) du second outil (22) sont munies de surfaces de serrage (52) qui, avec interposition des parties de matériau plat (12') en saillie, peuvent être pressées de manière alignée contre les surfaces d'appui (46) du premier outil (18), que les éléments (20, 16) portant les surfaces de serrage et d'appui (52, 46) peuvent être couplés par paires les uns avec les autres pour effectuer un mouvement transversal synchronisé et qu'ils sont articulés sur les outils respectifs (18, 22) de manière à pouvoir tourner autour d'axes de pivotement (30, 38) orientés parallèlement aux arêtes de refoulement et de pliage (48, 44), et que les surfaces de serrage et d'appui (52, 46) présentent une forme bombée, de préférence partiellement cylindrique, de manière à rouler par paires les unes sur les autres, avec interposition du matériau plat.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce que les surfaces d'appui (46) du premier outil (18) sont disposées sur des membres de pression (16) qui, sous l'action des mâchoires de pliage (20) en butée avec ses surfaces de butée (52), peuvent être déplacés par rapport à la languette de refoulement (14) contre la force d'un ressort (24).

- Dispositif selon l'une des revendications 6 à 9, caractérisé en ce que les mâchoires de pliage (20) et/ou les membres de pression (16) pouvant être couplés avec celles-ci peuvent tourner par paires les uns vers les autres autour de leurs axes de pivotement (38, 30), contre la force d'un ressort (40, 32), entre respectivement une butée (42 et respectivement 34), de préférence réglable, qui définit la largeur d'ouverture des arêtes de pliage (44) lors de l'entrée en contact avec le matériau plat (12).
