Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a hydraulic jack suitable for lifting and handling heavy loads, for example of several tons, and this from the ground.
  • Hydraulic jacks of this type which are capable, from the ground, of lifting loads of the order of 5, 10, 20 tonnes and more. These jacks are arranged to take the load at two possible levels, either by a tab disposed at the bottom of the jack, or by the head disposed in its upper part associated with the jack.
  • a grip handle is constituted by a U-shaped profile, the branches of which are each fixed laterally on the casing to allow the transport of the jack.
  • the document FR-1 393 513 relates to a lifting device in which the hydraulic fluid is contained in a deformable reservoir traversed right through by a tube connected to the pump and in which are provided radial holes for the passage of the fluid.
  • the tank is fixed with sealing on the ends of the tube.
  • the reservoir while emptying tends to retract to take account of the decrease in the volume of fluid it contains.
  • the rigidity of the material of this reservoir, as well as the fixing of its two ends limit its deformation, which does not avoid the risk of defusing the pump.
  • the structure of the tank of this elevator makes the whole very bulky.
  • the present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
  • the hydraulic jack it concerns, of the type comprising a support sole integral with a column, a cylindrical barrel mounted sliding on the column and integral with a head and a lifting lug, a hydraulic pump whose body is integral with the barrel and whose part suction is provided with a suction valve, and a deformable and airtight hydraulic fluid reservoir and disposed in a rigid part formed laterally in the barrel, of which it is integral and comprising, in the lower part, opening for placing in permanent communication with the outside, characterized in that the reservoir has, at its opening, crossed by the suction part of the pump, the valve of which is disposed in this reservoir, a radial flange which, constituting its only means of fixing , is clamped between the pump body and a support ring formed at the upper part of the rigid tubular part and in that the bottom of the tank is free to move according to the axis of the tubular part.
  • This solution is very advantageous since it makes it possible to make a hydraulic jack of a reduced volume since the suction part of the pump is housed inside the tank.
  • this structure makes it possible to limit the useful volume of hydraulic fluid, and to avoid any risk of defusing the pump.
  • the valve of the pump is housed inside the tank itself, and the wall of the tank, being held at only one end, deforms easily to always adapt the shape of its wall to the volume of fluid that 'it contains.
  • the assembly of the reservoir and of the suction part of the pump is housed inside a rigid tubular part fixed to the barrel and the interior volume of which is in permanent communication with the exterior.
  • This tubular part serves to limit the deformation of the reservoir, and to ensure the guiding of the latter as well as its protection vis-à-vis possible external aggressions.
  • the body of the reservoir is made of an elastically deformable material, and has in its rest state, that is to say when it is empty, a volume smaller than that which it occupies when 'it is filled with hydraulic fluid.
  • the tank body comprises two tubular parts, one of which comprises the bottom and the other of which comprises the means of attachment to the pump, mounted slidingly with sealing in one another.
  • the reservoir has, at its opening, a radial flange intended to be clamped between the pump body and a support ring secured to the rigid tubular part fixed to the barrel.
  • the sole has a notch in which is intended to be fitted the lifting lug integral with the barrel, when the latter is in the low position.
  • the jack shown in Figure 1, comprises in known manner a support sole 2 secured to a column 3 which is perpendicular thereto, and at the other end of which is fixed an element 4 in the form of a piston.
  • a cylindrical barrel 5 On the column 3 is slidably mounted, with sealing on the piston 4 , a cylindrical barrel 5 constituting a hydraulic lifting cylinder.
  • the lifting can be exerted either by the head 6 of the cylindrical barrel, or by a lug 7 integral with the lower end of this barrel, and capable of being embedded, in the low position of the barrel inside a recess 11 formed in the sole 2 .
  • the column 3 and the cylindrical barrel 5 delimit a chamber 8 intended to be more or less filled with hydraulic fluid to achieve the relative movement of the barrel relative to the column, this fluid supply being produced from a hydraulic pump designated by the general reference 9 .
  • This pump the operation of which is known, is not described in detail. It is actuated by the reciprocating movement of a lever 10 , and comprises a pump body 12 , and a suction part 13 .
  • a rigid tubular part 14 On the cylindrical barrel 5 is mounted laterally a rigid tubular part 14 , itself equipped with a handle 15 and in the lower face of which are formed openings 16 ensuring its permanent communication with the outside.
  • the upper part of this rigid tubular part comprises an annular ring 17 facing inward, delimiting a central opening. This annular ring 17 serves to support and fix the pump body.
  • the reservoir 18 of the hydraulic fluid housed inside the rigid tubular part, has deformable walls, and contains the suction part 13 of the pump, as well as the suction valve 19 .
  • the tank is mounted by fixing the open end of the latter which includes a flange 20 , by pinching this radial flange 20 between the crown 17 and the corresponding face of the pump body 12 .
  • a joint-shaped part ensures total tightness.
  • the reservoir may appear, as in the case of the figures 2 and 3, in the form of a flexible wall, slightly corrugated at the start and occupying a reduced volume, which under the action of the pressure of the fluid increases in volume until it conforms to the wall of the rigid tubular part 14 , as shown in phantom in Figure 2.
  • the reservoir 18 comprises two tubular parts, respectively, 22 and 23 , of which that 22 is fitted with the bottom 24 and of which that 23 includes the flange 20 for fixing to the pump body.
  • the two tubular parts 22 and 23 are slidably mounted one inside the other with sealing, their ends being shaped to form segments.
  • the tank thereof is filled with hydraulic fluid, this filling resulting in an increase in the volume of the tank which, originally occupying the volume having the shape shown in solid lines at the Figure 2, then occupies the position shown in phantom in this same figure.
  • this tank shaped tank is filled without there being room for air bubbles or any gas.
  • the tank forming tank will empty, and its wall will deform in a direction of reduction of the volume to adapt to the volume of hydraulic fluid.
  • the suction valve 19 is constantly immersed in the hydraulic fluid, whatever the orientation of the jack.
  • the wall of the reservoir 18 bearing against the rigid tubular part 14 is protected from possible external aggressions, this part also serving to support the wall of the reservoir to avoid excessive deformations thereof, in particular when the jack is used not at vertically, but in a horizontal position. Therefore, whatever the quantity of hydraulic fluid which is withdrawn by the pump, the loss of volume, which results from the suction, is compensated by the deformation of the reservoir, the valve 19 and the suction part 13 of the pump. always being immersed in the hydraulic fluid.
  • the reservoir is made of a deformable material such as a latex, or a synthetic material based on nitril, the main thing being that the material is chemically compatible with the hydraulic fluid.
  • the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique, by providing a hydraulic jack of simple and compact structure, which can be used in all positions without risk of defusing.
