Description

The invention relates to a filter arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a filter device is known from DE-A-31 50 299. In this filter device, the walls of the container are designed as a first filter. Behind the rear wall of the container, which is perpendicular with respect to the direction of the suction air flow, a second filter is fixedly arranged on the container. The design of the container walls as a filter has the disadvantage that these walls have to be freed of adhering dirt parts mechanically with each emptying process. In addition, these walls must be designed as coarse filters, otherwise they will become completely impermeable over time. Another disadvantage is that the downstream second filter, which is a fine filter, can only be shaken off to maintain the filter effect. A gradual clogging of this filter cannot be prevented in the long run by such a shaking, since dirt can only be removed by shaking on the surface of the second filter. This leads to a reduction in the suction power of the vacuum cleaner.

The invention has for its object to design a filter device of the generic type so that overall a better filter effect is achieved and the strength of the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is maintained.

The problem is solved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

The filter bag is replaced after a corresponding filling level has been reached and replaced with a new filter bag. The filter bag can thus already be designed as a fine filter, so that an improved filter effect is achieved with a downstream filter, which can advantageously be a fine filter or an activated carbon filter. Since this second filter is interchangeable, there is no risk of reduced suction power if the filter is added.

A plate-shaped design of the second filter enables it to be easily attached in a guide provided on the container. Such a plate-shaped filter can easily be carried out in multiple layers, so that special filters for different applications can be created by combining different filter layers.

If the second filter is arranged on the side of the container adjacent to the inlet opening, it can lie tightly against a sealing element surrounding the inlet opening and thus take over the tight coupling of the filter device to the blower unit.

As a result of a filter effect that differs in one sub-area from the rest of the area, a display option for a necessary replacement of this filter is achieved on the second filter. Because of the different filter effect of the two areas, there is a color difference between the two areas when the second filter becomes soiled, which signals to the user of a vacuum cleaner that this filter needs to be changed.

It is sufficient if the different filter effect exists at least on the air outlet side of the second filter that is visible when the container is removed. The different filter effect can be achieved in that the second filter in the partial area is impermeable or provided with an impregnating agent. In one case, no dirt is deposited in the partial area, so that the filter surface in this area does not become discolored due to the dirt and thus stands out from the soiled area in the remaining area. In the other case, the impregnating agent causes a greater build-up of dirt, so that color differences between the two areas are also evident. The partial area can be designed as a word symbol, for example “stop” or “change”.

  • FIG 2 ein zweites Filter in Draufsicht.
The subject of the application is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows:
  • 1 is a sectional view of a filter device arranged in a vacuum cleaner,
  • 2 shows a second filter in plan view.

Die Zwischenwand 3 weist eine Einlaßöffnung 6 auf, an die das Gebläseaggregat 4 mit seiner Ansaugöffnung angeschlossen ist.1 designates the housing of a vacuum cleaner, in which a dust chamber 2 and a fan chamber 5, which is separated from the latter by an intermediate wall 3 and contains the blower unit 4, is provided. The intermediate wall 3 has an inlet opening 6, to which the blower unit 4 is connected with its suction opening.

In the dust chamber 2, a carrying container 7 is inserted as a container, in which a filter bag 9 coupled to the connecting piece 8 of the vacuum cleaner is inserted as the first filter. The carrying container 7 is designed with permeable lattice walls 10. A nonwoven material can additionally be attached to the grid walls 10. A U-guide 12 for a second filter 13 is formed on the lower container edge 11 on the rear side of the carrying container 7 adjacent to the inlet opening 6. That with one side 14 in the U-guide 12 inserted second filter 13 rests with its other side 15 on a molded on the upper container edge 16 support bar 17. Since the second filter 13 is thereby adequately supported, it can be pressed against a sealing element 18 which completely surrounds the inlet opening 6, so that a tight coupling of the filter device to the blower unit 4 is achieved.

The plate-shaped design of the second filter 13 enables a multilayer structure of this filter. By combining different special filters, e.g. Allergy filters, microfilters, antibacterial filters, electrostatic filters, the second filter 13 can be designed for very special applications.

To maintain the full suction power of the vacuum cleaner, it is necessary that, in addition to the filter bag 9, the second filter 13 is replaced when a certain degree of contamination is reached. In order to signal such a necessary change to the user, the second filter 13 has a different filter effect in a partial area 19 than in the remaining area 20. This results in a different degree of dirt deposition in the two areas 19 and 20, so that these areas stand out from one another in color when the second filter 13 becomes increasingly dirty. The user can easily recognize such a color difference and then replace the dirty filter 13 with a new one.

The sub-area 19 can, as shown in FIG 2, as a word symbol, e.g. "Stop", be trained. The user thus knows that a filter change is necessary if he can clearly recognize this word.
