Eine derartige Waschmaschine ist aus der DE-OS 25 54 592 bekannt. Weiterer Vorteil ist eine einfachere Lagerung der Transportbehälter, die in Größe und Form normiert sein können und sich daher sowohl bei der Befüllung im Herstellerwerk für die Wirkstoffbehälter, wie auch beim Transport und der Lagerung auf den einzelnen Vertriebswegen platzsparend lagern und einfach handhaben lassen. Eine weitere vorteilhafte Weiterbildung der Erfindung ergibt sich bei einer Waschmaschine mit Behältern für Vollwaschmittel, Bleichmittel, Feinwaschmittel und Weichspülmittel dadurch, daß das Hauptvolumen der Behälter für Vollwaschmittel, Bleichmittel und Feinwaschmittel jeweils doppelt so groß und das Hauptvolumen des Behälters für Weichspülmittel so groß ist wie das des zugeordneten Transportbehälters. Da der Unterbringung von Vorratsbehältern in einer Waschmaschine oder in einem der Waschmaschine beistellbaren Dosiergerät gewisse räumliche Grenzen gesetzt sind, ist der Hersteller gehalten, den zur Verfügung stehenden Raum möglichst ökonomisch auszunutzen. Dies kann am ehesten dadurch erreicht werden, daß möglichst viele der Vorratsbehälter gleich großes Volumen haben. Aneinandergereihte Behälter dieser Art ergeben dann einen quaderartigen Block, der beispielsweise in einem Beistellgerät sehr raumökonomisch unterbringbar ist. Außerdem ist auch hierbei die Herstellung gleich großer Vorratsbehälter mit einem Preisvorteil verbunden. Den Behälter für Weichspülmittel kann man allerdings kleiner ausführen, weil erfahrungsgemäß Weichspülmittel weniger häufig benutzt wird. Das Hauptvolumen des Weichspülmittel-Behälters beträgt dann 3 l, das Gesamtvolumen (vermehrt um das Reserve-Volumen von 0,3 l) demnach 3,3 l. Ein einzelner Behälter, z.B. der Weichspülmittel-Vorratsbehälter, kann auch ein um einen Anteil des Transportbehälter-Volumens größeres Hauptvolumen haben. Beispielsweise kann das Hauptvolumen dieses Behälters 4 l betragen, also 3 l Transportbehälter-Volumen + 1/3 dieses Volumens.
