Abstract

The device serves for cutting plates of soft material such as foamed plastic plates or plates of glass wool. Foamed plastic plates are cut with a heated cutting wire. The device consists of two separate parts A and B. Part A comprises a base plate (1) with lateral guides (2) for a clamping cutting bar (3). Electrically conductive guide strips (5), which are insulated from the guides (2), are attached to the front of the guides (2). The guide strips are connected to a current source (not shown). Part B is a frame in the manner of a web saw, between the arms (8) of which the cutting wire (6) is attached. When the frame with its arms is pressed against the guide strips (5), current flows through the wire (6) and cutting can be performed. Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine transportable Vor­richtung zum Schneiden von Platten aus weichem Material mit Hilfe eines Schneidorgans und einer Grundplatte mit seitlichen Führungen, in denen ein Anpress-Schneidlineal auf- und abwärts bewegbar parallel zum Rand der Grund­platte geführt ist. Ist die zu schneidende Platte eine Kunststoff-Schaumplatte, kommt als Schneidorgan ein elek­trisch erhitzter Draht in Frage. Ist die Platte beispiels­weise aus Glaswolle, kann sie mit Hilfe eines entlang des Anpress-Schneidlineals geführten Messers geschnitten wer­den.
Aehnliche Vorrichtungen sind bekannt. Sie finden meist Verwendung auf dem Bau. Daher ist die Vorrichtung trans­portabel ausgebildet und die Energie zum Aufheizen des Schneiddrahtes wird meist aus einer Batterie bezogen. Es kommt dabei vor, dass nach dem Schneiden vergessen wird, den Strom abzuschalten. Dies hat den Nachteil, dass da­ durch die Batterie unnötig entladen wird und birgt zu dem die Gefahr in sich, dass man sich am heissen Draht ver­brennt. Durch Unachtsamkeit kann sogar ein Brand ent­stehen, wenn ein leicht brennbarer Gegenstand mit dem heissen Draht in Berührung kommt.

Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe mit einer Vorrichtung, die die im kennzeichnenden Teil des Patentanspruches 1 ge­nannten Merkmale aufweist. Die elektrisch leitenden Auf­lageleisten können dauernd an Spannung liegen, ohne dass dabei die Batterie entladen wird. Der Schneiddraht ist in einem separaten Bügel, ähnlich einer Spannsäge, gehalten. Nur zum Schneiden werden die nach unten gerichteten Arme des Bügels an die Auflageliesten gedrückt, so dass nur dann Strom durch den Schneiddraht fliesst und mit dem Draht geschnitten werden kann. Nach Beendigung eines Schnittes wird der Bügel mit dem Draht auf die Seite ge­legt und es fliesst kein Strom mehr.
In der beigefügten Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt und nachfolgend be­ schrieben.

Figur 1 zeigt die Vorrichtung in perspektivischer Dar­stellung. Sie umfasst einen im unteren Teil der Zeichnung dargestellten Teil A mit einer Grundplatte und einen se­paraten Teil B mit dem in einem Bügel, spannsägeartig ge­spannten Schneiddraht.
Teil A umfasst eine Grundplatte 1, an dessen vorderen Rand zwei U-förmige Führungsschienen 2 angeordnet sind, die der Führung eines Anpress-Schneidlineals 3 dienen. Auf der Grundplatte ist eine Führungsschiene 4 für eine zu schnei­dende Platte befestigbar.
Vorne auf jeder Führung sind von den Führungsschienen 2 isolierte, im Querschnitt L-förmige Auflageleisten 5 ange­bracht. Durch die Grundplatte hindurchgeführte Anschluss­ leitungen 51 sind mit den Auflageleisten 5 verbunden. An den äusseren Enden sind Stecker 52 angebracht zum An­schluss an eine Stromquelle wie zum Beispiel eine Auto­batterie. An der Schmalseite der Grundplatte sind schieberartig herausziehbare Aufhängelaschen 11 ange­ordnet. Die Vorrichtung kann dann horizontal stehend oder an der Wand hängend gebraucht werden.
Unten an der Grundplatte 1 sind Anschläge 12 angeordnet, die auf die Schnittebene ausgerichtet sind.
Das Schneidorgan B besteht aus einem Bügel, an dem der Schneiddraht 6 in gespannter Lage gehalten ist. Der Bügel selber besteht aus einem Längsstab 7 aus elektrisch iso­lierendem Material und an den Enden des Stabes sind nach unten gerichtete Arme 8 angeordnet zwischen denen der Schneiddraht 6 gespannt ist. Die Arme 8 bestehen aus elek­trisch leitendem Material. Am linken Arm 8 ist der Schneiddraht 6 bei 81 bestigt. Am rechten Arm 8 ist er über einen Zapfen 82 umgelenkt und wird mittels einer Zugfeder 83 in gespanntem Zustand gehalten.

The arms 8 are made of electrically conductive material. The cutting wire 6 is secured at 81 on the left arm 8. On the right arm 8 it is deflected by a pin 82 and is held in a tensioned state by means of a tension spring 83.

Die Figuren 2 und 3 zeigen Teile der Vorrichtung in grös­serem Masstab, in denen auch weitere Details ersichtlich sind. In dieser Zeichnung ist die Isolationsschicht 53 zwischen den Führungsschienen 2 und den Auflageleisten deutlich erkennbar. Auch die Grundplatte 1 ist an ihrem vorderen Rand mit einer Isolationsschicht 13 versehen, genauso wie der Anpress-Schneidlineal 3. Dieser weist an seiner Vorderseite einen Isolationsschicht 31 auf. Der Sinn dieser Isolationsschichten 31,13 ist klar, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Schneiddraht 6 sich beim Schneiden längs der strichpunktierten Linie nahe am Anpress-Schneidlineal und der Grundplatte vorbei geführt wird.
Der Längsstab 7 des Bügel B ragt bei 71 ein wenig über die Arme 8 hinaus. Diese Vorsprünge 71 des Längsstabes bilden einen Anschlag auf den oberen Enden 54 der im Querschnitt L-förmigen Auflageleisten, damit der Schneiddraht die Grundplatte nicht berührt.
In Figur 3 ist eine Schaumstoffplatte P zwischen der Grundplatte und dem Anpress-Schneidlineal gehalten, bereit um durch den erhitzten Schneiddraht zugeschnitten zu wer­den.
Beim Schneiden mit dem erhitzten Schneiddraht geht man wie folgt vor:

  • a) die zu schneidende Platte P soweit unter den Anpress-­Schneidlineal vorschieben wie abgeschnitten werden soll.
  • b) den Anpress-Schneidlineal auf die Platte drücken um sie in der gewünschten Lage zu halten.
  • c) den Bügel B mit dem Schneiddraht 6 mit seinen Armen an die Auflageleisten 5 drücken, damit Strom durch den Draht 6 fliesst und sich dieser erhitzt.
  • d) unter ständigem Andrücken an die Leisten 5, den Bügel abwärts führen und schneiden.

Es wird dabei entlang dem Anpress-­Schneidlineal geführt. Damit der Schnitt senkrecht zur Plattenoberfläche verläuft, ist in einem Vorsprung 14 der Grundplatte 1, eine Führungsnut 15 für die Führung der Messerspitze vorgesehen.
Auf der Grundplatte 1 kann auch noch eine Anschlagleiste 4 befestigt sein, die der Plattenführung dient.
