Der Legeschlitten ist mit einer Klemmeinrichtung ausgerüstet, die den Anfang des aufzulegenden Bandes erfaßt, so daß durch ein Verfahren des Legeschlittens das Band von der jeweiligen Bandrolle abgewickelt und auf den Arbeitstisch gezogen werden kann, wobei eine am Tischende montierte Schneideinrichtung zum Ablängen des abgezogenen Bandes dient. Durch mehrmaliges Hin- und Herfahren des Legeschlittens lassen sich auch mehrere Bandlagen auf dem Arbeitstisch aufschichten und es können auch die Bänder beider Bandrollen gemeinsam aufgelegt werden. Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe dadurch, daß der Materialspender eine dreh- und antreibbar im Legeschlitten gelagerte Magazintrommel od. dgl. mit Aufnahmen für wenigstens zwei, vorzugsweise drei Bandrollen umfaßt, wobei die Magazintrommel für jede Bandrolle eine eigene, dieser lagefest zugeordnete Klemme aufweist und durch Drehverstellung jeweils eine Bandrolle und Klemme in eine Abgabestellung schwenkt, in der die im Nahbereich der Arbeitstischfläche sich befindende Klemme das von der zugehörenden Bandrolle abzuziehende Band spitzwinkelig zur Arbeitstischfläche hin ausrichtet und daß die Schneideinrichtung in Abziehrichtung hinter der Abgabestellung der Klemmen am Legeschlitten sitzt und am Legeschlitten zusätzlich eine aus einer Arbeits- in eine Ruhestellung bewegbare, auf das abgezogene Band aufsetzbare Andrückrolle vorgesehen ist. Durch die Kombination von Legeschlitten und Bandmagazin können je nach Bestückung des Magazins große Bandmengen gleichen Materials oder auch unterschiedlichste Bänder ohne Unterbrechung durch einen Bandrollenwechsel aufgelegt und/oder übereinander geschichtet werden. Die betreffenden Bandrollen des Magazins lassen sich dabei durch eine einfache, entsprechend gesteuerte Drehbewegung der Magazintrommel jeweils in die Abgabestellung bringen, aus der dann das Bandmaterial im Maße der Legeschlittenbewegung von der jeweiligen Bandrolle abgewickelt und gleichzeitig auf den Arbeitstisch aufgelegt wird. Das verschiebefreie Auflegen des Bandmaterials auf den Arbeitstisch erlaubt es, Bandmaterial verschiedenster Oberflächenbeschaffenheit und der damit zusammenhängenden Reibungs- und Haftverhältnisse problemlos in ein- oder mehrlagigen Schichten aufzulegen, wobei die Andrückrolle ein sattes, faltenfreies Ablegen der Bänder garantiert und für einen ordnungsgemäßen Abwickelvorgang des abzulegenden Bandes von der jeweiligen Bandrolle sowie gleichzeitig für das rutschsichere Auflegen des Bandes auf der gegebenen Unterlage sorgt. Da jeder Bandrolle eine entsprechende Klemme zugeordnet ist, die den Bandanfang dieser Rolle bis zum eigentlichen Auflegevorgang festhält, kommen zwangsweise durch die Positionierung der jeweiligen Bandrolle in der Abgabestellung auch die Klemme und damit der Bandanfang in eine entsprechende Abgabestellung, so daß nach einem Öffnen der Klemme das Band der in Abgabestellung liegenden Bandrolle freigegeben und durch die offene Klemme auch noch einwandfrei zur Arbeitsfläche hin geführt wird. Um einen störungsfreien Beginn des Bandabzuges sicherzustellen, kann eine Halterungseinrichtung vorgesehen sein, die den Bandanfang nach dem Lösen der Klemme so lange am Arbeitstisch niederhält, bis die Andrückrolle, die anfangs in einer Ruhestellung liegt, sich in Arbeitsstellung auf das Band aufsetzen und niederdrücken läßt. Da die Halterungseinrichtung zum Legeschlitten relativverschiebbar angeordnet und die Schneideinrichtung am Schlitten montiert ist, können Beginn und Ende des jeweiligen Bandauflegevorganges am Arbeitstisch frei gewählt und damit Lage und Länge der aufgelegten Bänder rationell vorbestimmt werden. Der feste Abstand zwischen Schneideinrichtung und der sich in Abgabestellung befindenden Klemmen bringt nach dem Ablängen des Bandes auch stets einen gleichbleibenden Überstand des dann wieder in der Klemme festgehaltenen Bandes und damit zwangsweise auch einen den Beginn eines neuerlichen Ablegevorganges begünstigenden, frei über die Klemme vorkragenden Bandanfang mit sich. A device for laying material (1) in band form on to a worktable (2), consisting of a laying carriage (3) adapted to reciprocate along the worktable (2) and equipped with a material dispenser to receive rotatably mounted reels of band material, a clamping means for retaining a band withdrawable from a reel, and a cutting means for cutting to length the band withdrawn from a reel and applied to the worktable and, if required, co-operating with a holding means movable relatively to the laying carriage in order to hold the start of the band down at the beginning of withdrawal, characterised in that the material dispenser (4) is a magazine drum (5) or the like mounted rotatably and drivably in the carriage (3), with receiving means for at least two and preferably three reels (6) of band material, the magazine drum (5) for each reel (6) having its own clamp (7) positionally fixed relatively thereto, and pivoting, by rotary adjustment, a reel (6) and a clamp (7) in each case into a delivery position (A) in which the clamp (7) situated near the worktable surface (2a) aligns at an acute angle to the worktable surface (2a) the band (1) to be withdrawn from the associated reel (6)
    and
    in that the cutting means (10) is disposed behind the delivery position (A) of the clamps (7) on the carriage (3) as considered in the withdrawal direction and there is additionally provided on the carriage (3) a biasing roller (13) movable from a working position into a position of rest and adapted to be applied to the withdrawn band (1).
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that at least one band reel (6) has an associated rotatably and drivably mounted take-up drum (20) for winding-on of a covering film (1b) of the band material (1) or the like.
  3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the biasing roller (13) can be subjected to different biasing forces and is preferably mounted for pivotable adjustment in the carriage (3) by way of pivoting arms (14).
  4. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the holding means (15) consists of a retaining strip (19) articulated on an additional carriage (17) or the like so as to be pivotably adjustable by way of cantilever arms (16), the said retaining strip (19) being displaceable into the deposition area between the cutting means (10) and the delivery position (A) of the clamps (7) by relative movement of the laying carriage and the additional carriage (3, 17).
  5. A device according to claim 4, characterised in that the biasing roller (13) is pressable, when the holding means (15) is used, on to the retaining strip (19) or the like projecting into the deposition zone.
  6. A device according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that the additional carriage (17) is a tool carriage.
  7. A device according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that a separate additional carriage is provided, which can be attached to the laying carriage via a length-adjustable coupling means.
  8. A device according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that guide rails (9) disposed after the clamps (7) are provided in the magazine drum (5) and in the delivery position (A) each serve as transverse guide for the cutting means (10).
