Description

The invention relates to a washing machine or a washer-dryer with devices for the program-based addition of liquid and / or powdered laundry treatment agents into the tub, an operating panel, a detergent dispenser box arranged in the panel area of the machine and with a storage container for liquid laundry treatment agents arranged elsewhere on the machine.

The specified metering device is intended to enable the automatic addition of liquid laundry treatment agents during the washing cycle.

To meet these requirements, it is already known to equip a laundry treatment machine with a storage container and a metering pump for the addition of laundry treatment agents.

From DE-U 70 22 325, for example, a dosing device for fabric softener is known, whereby the amount of fabric softener required for the rinse cycle is automatically dosed into the tub or into the detergent dispensing chamber.
Furthermore, a washing machine is known from DE-OS 34 47 303, in which a reservoir for liquid medium can be filled via a filler neck in the dispenser case. The liquid medium is pumped directly from the storage container into the tub.

In the known metering devices, the storage container is only provided for one type of laundry treatment agent - e.g. B. only for fabric softener or liquid detergent. The user of the device cannot individually determine which laundry treatment agents he wants to feed the washing process automatically.

The object of the invention is therefore to design a washing machine or a washer-dryer with a device for adding liquid laundry treatment agents in such a way that the user can store different laundry treatment agents in the storage container as required and that the respectively required dosage amount of the agent added is automatically correct Point of the washing program is dosed directly into the tub.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the following claims.

The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are in particular that, depending on the needs or washing habits of the user, liquid laundry treatment agents such as liquid detergents, softening agents and liquid chlorine bleach can be metered into the pre-wash and / or main wash cycle or fabric softener into the last rinse cycle.
When adding liquid detergent, the corresponding amount of detergent in the two-lye program is automatically professionally divided into 1/4 for the prewash and 3/4 for the main wash and fed to the tub. By actuating an adjusting device in the area of the storage container, the user determines which laundry treatment agent is stored in the storage container and thereby gives the program control a signal when the treatment agent must be added according to the program.
The dosing amount can be preselected by the user and is saved for the following wash cycles, so that the dosing amount does not have to be determined again before each further wash cycle with the same laundry treatment agent.
In an advantageous development of the invention, an automatic dosing system is provided, which calculates the value of the dosing quantity as a function of the quantity of water that has flowed in at the beginning of the first washing cycle. This makes it possible to adjust the dosage for different types of fabrics and laundry.

  • Fig. 1 eine Wäschebehandlungsmaschine mit schematisch dargestelltem Vorratsbehälter (3),
  • Fig. 2 eine schematische Darstellung der Wäschebehandlungsmaschine
  • Fig. 3 die Anzeigeeinrichtung (11) der Bedienblende (1),
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and will be described in more detail below. Show it:
  • 1 is a laundry treatment machine with a schematically illustrated storage container (3),
  • Fig. 2 is a schematic representation of the laundry treatment machine
  • 3 the display device (11) of the control panel (1),
  • Fig. 4 shows the storage container (3) with filler neck (21) in a side view in section.

In Fig. 1, the control panel of a laundry treatment machine is designated 1.
A detergent dispenser drawer (2) is provided in the area of the control panel (1) for the manual addition of laundry treatment agents. The storage container (3) for Liquid laundry treatment agent is removably arranged in the lower area of the machine behind an assembly flap. The reservoir (3) can, for. B. in guide grooves (4) can be inserted in the housing. An adjustment device (5) is provided in the area of the storage container (3), on which the user must specify which type of laundry treatment agent has been filled into the storage container (3). The adjusting device (5) can, for. B. be designed as a slide-in lock for the reservoir (3). The storage container (3) preferably has guide grooves (6, 7) which run obliquely with respect to the insertion direction of the container and in which the adjustment lever of the adjustment device (5), which is designed as an insertion lock, is guided. If the storage container (3) is to be inserted into the housing of the machine, the adjusting lever must first be placed in the direction of a guide groove (6 or 7) so that the storage container (3) can be inserted into the housing. The guide grooves (6, 7) are provided with symbols (8, 9) for different laundry treatment agents. Depending on the type of laundry treatment agent that has been filled into the storage container (3), the adjusting lever must be brought into the corresponding angular position to the direction of insertion. In terms of circuitry, the adjustment device (5) is connected to the program control device (10) of the machine. Depending on the angular position of the adjustment lever, the liquid laundry treatment agent is automatically added according to the program. Has z. B. Filled with fabric softener in the storage container (3), the adjusting lever of the adjusting device (5) must point in the direction of the position of the symbol (9). Depending on the angular position of the adjustment lever, the softener is dosed automatically in the last rinse. If liquid detergent has been poured into the storage container (3), the user flips the adjusting lever in the direction of the position of the symbol (8) so that the program control device (10) is signaled that the agent must be added to the pre-wash or main wash cycle. The dosing quantity is automatically divided professionally into 1/4 for the pre-wash and 3/4 for the main wash. If a wash program without prewash has been selected, the entire dosage is added to the main wash cycle alone. Additional settings for further laundry treatment agents can be provided in the area of the storage container (3).
The adjustment device (5), designed as a slide-in lock, forces the user, after filling the storage container (3), to signal to the program controller (10) which type of laundry treatment agent has been filled into the container. Incorrect dosing due to incorrect user information when selecting a program is therefore excluded.
Within the display device (11) of the control panel (1) of the machine, the center display (12, 13) shows which laundry treatment agent has been filled into the container. For the display of the type of laundry treatment agent, for. B. each symbol of the display device (11) can be assigned an LED which lights up as a continuous light when the device for the automatic addition of the liquid laundry treatment agent is selected via the switching device (14).
Depending on the number of setting options in the area of the storage container (3) for different laundry treatment agents, symbols and LEDs for the central display (12, 13) are present in the display device (11). A liquid level measuring device (15) is provided for the storage container (3). The value of the liquid level can be displayed on the display (11) of the control panel (1). However, it would also be possible to signal a residual level or an empty storage container (3) by blinking an LED.
The device for the automatic addition of the liquid laundry treatment agent can be selected via a switching device (14). The center display (12, 13) then lights up as a steady light.
The corresponding metered quantity can also be displayed within the display device (11). For this purpose, it is possible to assign different numerical values for the dosing quantities to LEDs that light up according to the set dosing quantity or to have the exact numerical value shown on a display. If a residual level is reached during the removal of the laundry treatment agent, the middle display (12 or 13) or a residual level display (16) flashes to draw the user's attention to the need to refill the storage container (3). The preselection of the dosing quantity takes place via input keys (17) within the display device (11). With the "+" key and the "-" key, the volume is selected for the laundry treatment agent according to the manufacturer's instructions and stored in a memory of the program control device (10) for the subsequent wash cycles. The stored value can also be changed using the input keys (17). If a wash cycle with automatic dosing has been selected, the LEDs of the medium and quantity display (12 or 13 and 18) light up continuously when the program starts. The stored dosage and the type of laundry treatment agent stored in the storage container (3) are displayed. For a change to another laundry treatment agent - e.g. B. from fabric softener to liquid detergent - the cleaning of the storage container (3) is required and a cleaning program step for the feed line (19) of the metering device is provided. For this purpose, the supply line (19) for the laundry treatment agent from the storage container (3) be solved. The storage container (3) should be cleaned and filled with water, reconnected to the supply line (19) and pushed into the housing. The supply line (19) for the laundry treatment agent is still filled with the previous laundry treatment agent from the storage container (3) to the washing point (20) in the tub. This residual amount can be removed from the storage container (3) by rinsing with the water. Flushing the supply line (19) is initiated by simultaneously pressing the "+" and "-" (17) buttons. Water is pumped through the supply line (19) in accordance with the dosing quantity indicated. The maximum dosing quantity can expediently be selected before rinsing. After flushing the supply line (19), the water can be removed from the storage container (3) and the new laundry treatment agent can be filled in.

Während des Pumpvorganges blinkt die Dosiermengenanzeige (18).After changing the laundry treatment agent, the supply line (19) from the storage container (3) via the central pump (21) to the washing point (20) in the tub is not yet filled with laundry treatment agent. The feed line (19) can also be primed by simultaneously pressing the "+" and "-" (17) buttons. The metering quantity indicator (18) flashes during the pumping process.

For easier handling when filling the storage container (3), the container can be provided with a filler neck (22). The filler neck (22) is mounted so that it can be inserted in an extension (23) of the storage container (3). In the position inserted in the extension (23), the filler neck (22) closes the storage container (3). In the extended position, it offers a large opening for easy filling of the storage container (3). By the Pulling out the filler neck (22) from the extension (23), the filler neck (22) is automatically opened and enlarged.
So that the laundry treatment agent does not reach the filling nozzle (22) when it is filled into the storage container (3), there is an optical "full display" (24) on the storage container (3).
In order to be able to push the container back into the housing after filling, the adjusting lever of the adjusting device (5) must be brought back into the correct angular position in relation to the direction of insertion so that the program control device (10) is signaled which type of laundry treatment agent has been filled .
In an advantageous development of the invention, the program-based addition of the laundry treatment agent is controlled by an automatic dosing within the program control (10). The metered amount is calculated depending on the amount of water that has flowed in at the beginning of the first wash cycle. Nominal water quantities for the different washing programs and program sections are stored in a table of values as the basis for calculating the dosing quantity. The amount of water that flows in at the beginning of the first wash cycle is recorded and compared with the stored nominal amounts of water in accordance with the program selection. If z. B. less water has flowed in due to a lower loading quantity, the indicated and preselected metering quantity via the display device (11) decreases in the same ratio as the stored nominal water quantity to the inflowing actual water quantity.
