Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical or electronic control keyboard.
In the French patent n ° 83.19245 filed on December 1, 1983, in the name of Mr. DANGLOT Bernard, which corresponds to document EP-A-204.050, a keyboard has been described allowing the formation of electrical control codes, consisting of a closed box containing a device comprising one or more bulbs with contact blades sensitive to a magnetic field, characterized in that the opening of the box is obstructed by a light wall, the solid part of which is made of a material which does not allow the magnetic field, and in that the blades of a bulb are arranged under each light of this wall so as to be actuable under the effect of a magnetic field caused by a removable magnet presented in front of said light, outside the box.
Although entirely satisfactory, the keyboard described in the aforementioned patent cannot be used in any location because of its volume. The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback, to provide an ultra-flat keyboard and to improve its performance.
We also know the document US-A-3,713,056 relating to a device whose cover is made of a material allowing the magnetic flux to pass and comprises depressions under each of which is located a lamplight. The purpose of these depressions is not only to indicate where the magnet must be presented, but also to indicate the preferred excitation zone. In addition, the non-excitation of the other lamps is obtained by judicious localization of the bulbs relative to the diagonals.
Such a device is quite bulky and in fact has the same drawbacks as that described above.
According to the invention, the electrical or electronic control keyboard consisting of a housing, a closing front plate not allowing a magnetic flux emitted by a magnet or magnetic key to pass except at the locations of lights provided for this purpose, a bulb with blades and legs, by light being placed in the housing parallel and flush with the front plate so as to detect the flow passing through this light, a printed circuit in the bottom of the housing and to which the bulbs are connected, which keyboard is characterized by the makes that one leg of each bulb is placed under the corresponding light, while the body of the bulb with the other leg are placed under the part full of the front plate. The tab placed under the light is curved in a plane parallel to the front plate. A cable comes out laterally or through the rear face of the box to connect it to a decoder located at a distance.
Advantageously, the lights of the front plate are arranged in a continuous parallel line and a short distance from the edge of the box, the axis of each bulb passes substantially through the center of the plate and the center of a light.
Preferably, the keyboard is strictly waterproof and can be submerged; for this purpose the lights of the front plate are filled with a product allowing the magnetic field to pass through, such as a resin, and the front plate is glued or welded in a leaktight manner on the housing, just as the cable is glued by resin in its exit hole.
Advantageously, the keyboard is provided on its front face with a label allowing the location of the lights and possibly their numbering. Furthermore, its thickness is reduced to the thickness of the bulb increased by that of the housing and the front plate.
Such a keyboard can be fixed on the rear face of a window or any other non-magnetic plate; each bulb can be activated by a magnetic key presented on the front of the glass, in line with the corresponding mark on the sticker.
The surface area of the lights on the front plate is adaptable to its distance from the magnetic key, by replacing the front plate, or adding an additional plate in front of the already existing plate, an additional fixed or sliding plate constituting a partial mask, the lights are of smaller diameter.
- Fig. 1 is a front perspective view without protective glass,
- Fig. 2 is a partial section along II-II of FIG. 1,
- Fig. 3 is a top view, the indicator sheet being removed.
The keyboard consists of a
In the example shown, inside the keyboard are attached
On the
Fig. 3 shows that the
The bulbs being placed horizontally, it is understood that the external thickness of the box is very small, its internal depth being reduced has little more thickness than the bulb.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the keyboard is strictly waterproof and can be submerged. For this purpose, the
The keyboard as described is fixed or applied to the rear face of a window or any other non-magnetic plate, and each bulb is actuable by a magnet presented on the front face of said window, in line with the corresponding reference. The command is transmitted to the codec-
The thickness of the glass (or of any other non-magnetic plate) is very different depending on the use case, and the magnetic flux which crosses it at a more or less long distance to be traversed by widening more or less. The useful surface of each light is adaptable to this flow, and in fact adjustable according to the distance between it and the magnetic key. This adaptation can be carried out by various means. The technically simplest way is to remove the
The installer can have at his disposal a set of various plates, the diameter of the lights of which differs according to the category of the plate, and choose at the time of assembly a plate of the category most appropriate for the distance between the bulb. 9 and the
