Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von warmgewalztem Stahlband aus einem bandförmig strang gegossenem Vormaterial, bei dem das Vormaterial nach Erstarrung in ein mit möglichst hoher Stichabnahme verformendes kontinuierliches Walzwerk eingeführt wird, dessen Walzensätze mit minimalen Abstand hintereinander angeordnet sind. Um ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung des Verfahrens zu schaffen, mit dem bzw. der es möglich ist, eine maximale Stichabnahme in minimalen Walzstichen durch-zuführen, wird vorgeschlagen, daß das Vorband mindestens in zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Walzensätzen unter geregeltem Zug reduziert wird.
