Abstract

For swimming pools (1), in particular for swimming pools (1) having optional pool shapes, a roller blind type cover with buoyant plastic profiles is proposed which consists of at least two roller blind parts (27, 28) which float in different directions and can be wound on a common winding shaft (12) of a winding device. In this case, the winding device is arranged in such a way relative to the swimming pool (1) that the pool parts on both sides to be covered by the roller blind parts (27, 28) are situated inside the two vertical planes extending through the ends of the winding shaft (12) and at an angle of 90 DEG to their axis of rotation. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a roller shutter cover with floatable plastic hollow profiles for swimming pools with free pool shapes, consisting of at least two roller shutter parts floating in different directions, the adjacent ends of which are connected to a common winding shaft of a winding device and can be wound thereon.

A roller shutter cover of the aforementioned type is known from DE-A-28 45 411. With this roller shutter cover, the winding shaft with the entire winding device is at a distance above the water surface of the swimming pool. The winding device is preferably mounted in a chassis which, together with the winding device and the winding shaft, can be moved on rails arranged on both sides of the swimming pool. The two roller shutter parts are attached directly to the winding shaft along surface lines. For production reasons, the two roller shutter parts should have the same size as possible, so that the chassis with the winding shaft is moved over the middle of the swimming pool. The simultaneous winding and unwinding of the two roller shutter parts means that the swimming pool can be opened or closed and covered in a relatively short time. However, as already mentioned, the known device requires side rails which are very cumbersome on the two side edges of the pool. The device can also be used only in those swimming pools which are open at least on one end of the pool, so that the device can be moved outwards. But here, too, it is a hindrance, apart from that it must be protected against damage, weather conditions and the like. In most large public swimming pools, however, diving boards, diving boards and diving blocks are firmly attached to the ends, which preclude the use of the known device. In addition, when the floating cover is closed, ie when the roller shutter parts are rolled out, because of the distance of the winding shaft above the water surface between the two areas of the roller shutter parts close to the winding shaft on the one hand and the water surface, an air space which is essentially triangular in cross section remains, so that apart from that Appearance of the cover no closed cover surface can be formed on the water surface.

In practice, several other designs of roller shutter covers in large quantities have proven their worth, because they bring with them a whole series of advantages compared to well-known film covers: Significant energy savings through thermal insulation, so that when the roller shutter cover is closed and spread over the swimming pool, only a little Heat can escape from the water; Loss of convection heat caused by wind in outdoor facilities is practically prevented; there is only a low level of humidity in swimming pools; the operation of such roller shutter covers is extremely simple, because usually only one gear motor needs to be switched on to open or close the swimming pool; the roller shutter cover floats over the water surface of the swimming pool without the need for any additional traction means, such as ropes, possibly with attached weights; roller shutter covers are also very robust and durable, to name just a few important advantages.

The possible uses of these known roller shutter covers are essentially rectangular Limited swimming pool. This is mainly due to the fact that up to now only a single roller shutter cover has been wound onto a winding shaft of a winding device, or has been unwound from the winding shaft to close the pool. For this reason, the winding device always had to be arranged at one end of the swimming pool. With this arrangement of the winding device at one end of the swimming pool, two designs have proven particularly useful, namely an underwater version, the roller shutter covering for closing the swimming pool rising vertically from the area of the pool floor under the inherent buoyancy to the water surface and then automatically over the water surface spreads. In the other embodiment, the winding device is located above one end edge of the swimming pool, so that the roller shutter cover hangs down from above to the water surface under gravity to close the swimming pool and then automatically pushes over the surface of the swimming pool as it continues to roll out. In any case, as said, essentially only rectangular swimming pools are to be equipped with roller shutter covers.

In the case of smaller circular or oval swimming pools, it is known to cover them with foils, above all to protect them from any kind of pollution and heat loss. The application and removal of the film cover is usually done by hand, which is extremely cumbersome and not safe enough if you think, for example, that rain can accumulate on the film and the film is therefore deformed accordingly.

In practice, it has now emerged over time that the large public swimming pools, which are mainly used for swimming competitions, still have a rectangular shape with prescribed dimensions in length and width. Throughout private and public In the leisure sector, however, there is a clear tendency towards the so-called free pool shapes, which architects in particular come up with when designing outdoor facilities in order to adapt the swimming pools to the available terrain.

For all of the swimming pools with free pool shapes, the previously known roller shutter covers are either not applicable at all for the reasons explained above, or only partial areas of the swimming pool can be covered, while the remaining partial areas either remain open or must be covered by hand with additional adapters or the like , which is cumbersome and has therefore not proven itself.

In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a roller shutter cover that does not require any space on all pool edges, allows all structures at the pool edges and does not result in any disabilities and that can be adapted to almost all free pool shapes in a simple and, above all, cost-effective manner covers the entire water surface.

The object is achieved in that the winding shaft of the winding device is arranged in a box, which is located at a distance from the corresponding pool ends and below the pool floor and which can be covered in the wound state of the cover by means of a pivotable or displaceable flap, that the roller shutter parts (27, 28) are adapted to the shapes of the associated pool parts, and that, in order to cover any pool shapes, the winding device is arranged in relation to the swimming pool in such a way that the pool parts on both sides, which can be covered by the roller shutter parts, are within the two vertical ends of the winding shaft and under one There are angles of 90 ° to their axes of rotation.

Figures 1 and 2 show a swimming pool 1 with two side walls 2, 3, two end walls 4, 5 and inclined walls 6, 7, 8 and 9 extending between them. As usual, these walls are integrally and watertightly connected to a pool floor 10. In the illustrated embodiment, a U-shaped box 11 is now recessed below the pool floor, at a distance from the two end walls 4 and 5 of the swimming pool 1 and, according to FIG. 1, extending transversely to the latter. The box 11 extends over the entire width of the swimming pool between the two side walls 2 and 3. The box 11 serves to receive a winding shaft 12, the length of which corresponds essentially to the length of the box 11, so that the ends 13 and 14 of the Winding shaft 12 are located with some play adjacent to the end faces of the box. At the ends of the winding shaft are outwardly leading bearing journals 15 and 17, which are held in simplified bearings 16 and 18. The recesses or through holes provided in the end walls of the box 11 are well sealed, so that no water can escape from the swimming pool or the interior of the box 11 to the outside. At one end, the winding shaft 12 is connected via the bearing journal 17 to a drive (not shown), for example an electric geared motor, which can be switched on in both directions of rotation and switched off by limit switches. The geared motor is housed in a drive housing 19. At the top, the box 11 can be closed by a pivotable flap 20 or by a cover. In Figure 2, the flap 20 is drawn in the vertical open position. To close it can be pivoted in the direction of arrow 21 about a pivot axis 22 and locked in the other two end positions. The pivot axis 22 is also held in bearings 23 and 24 and at one end, according to FIG. 1, is connected to a drive which is located in the drive housing 25. To better illustrate the function, two drive housings 19 and 25 are shown, but in practice both drives are housed in a single drive housing, which is easily accessible through a shaft leading upwards. Instead of a pivotable flap 20, a cover which can be displaced in the level of the pelvic floor 10 can also be provided.

On the winding shaft 12 distributed over its length are attached to a plurality of tapes 26 stressed. The other ends of the belts 26 engage at a connection point 29 of the roller shutter cover. The roller shutter cover is composed of floatable hollow plastic profiles, namely the hollow plastic profiles are articulated to one another. In addition, the hollow plastic profiles are held in their longitudinal direction to each other so that the hollow plastic profiles do not require guidance at their ends and thus the roller shutter cover can be cut in any shape adapted to the swimming pool. The tapes 26 now engage at such a connection point 29 on the roller shutter cover that at least two roller shutter parts floating in different directions, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 the roller shutter parts 27 and 28 are formed. If, when looking at FIG. 2, the winding shaft 12 is rotated clockwise, the tapes 26 and then the two roller shutter parts 27, 28 are first wound on the winding shaft 12. Advantageously, the direction of rotation of the winding shaft 12, in this example the clockwise direction of rotation, should be selected when winding up such that the shorter roller shutter parts, in the exemplary embodiment the roller shutter part 28, the inner layers and the longer roller shutter parts, in the exemplary embodiment the roller shutter part 27, the outer layers of the Form winding. In this way, there are no problems when the roller shutter parts are wound up together on the common winding shaft 12. After the roller shutter parts have been completely wound up on the winding shaft 12, the flap 20 can be closed and, for example, locked by a self-locking geared motor. The swimming pool can now be used completely unhindered by the roller shutter cover.

To close the pool, ie to roll out the roller shutter cover, the flap 20 is first opened, then the winding shaft is rotated counterclockwise, so that first the outer end of the longer roller shutter part 27 floats vertically upward, due to the effect of the buoyancy. As soon as the first hollow plastic profile reaches the water surface 30, it tilts to the right when viewing FIG. 2, which is repeated for all subsequent hollow plastic profiles, so that the roller shutter part 27 floats out in the direction of the right arrow 31. As soon as the outermost hollow plastic profile of the further roller shutter part 28 reaches the water surface 30, it tilts to the left, so that this roller shutter part 28 floats out in the opposite direction to the roller shutter part 27 in the direction of the left arrow 32. The separation of the two roller shutter parts 27 and 28 is further promoted by that during the floating of the roller shutter parts, especially in the upper area below the water surface, a wedge-shaped gap 33 is formed which is filled with water. This water in the wedge-shaped gap now presses constantly on the two roller shutter parts during the floating process and promotes floating apart until finally the connection point 29 reaches the water surface 30 and the entire swimming pool is covered.

Due to the special arrangement of the winding shaft 12 and the entire associated winding device for the swimming pool, it is possible to divide the roller shutter cover in the present exemplary embodiment into two roller shutter parts which float in different directions over the water surface 30 of the swimming pool and thus correspondingly cover two, of course belonging together, pool parts. The arrangement of the rewinder to the swimming pool is to be made in such a way that the pool parts that can be covered on both sides by the roller shutter parts are within the two vertical ends 13, 14 of the winding shaft 12 and at an angle of 90 ° to the axis of rotation of the winding shaft 12 trending levels. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the two levels therefore run directly on the inside of the two side walls 2 and 3 and perpendicular to the image plane in FIG. 1. The two basin parts and accordingly the two roller shutter parts are located on both sides of the connection point 29, which in FIG dash-dotted line is drawn.

Normally, the two roller shutter parts 27, 28 are connected to form a single roller shutter corresponding to the swimming pool surface, so that when the swimming pool is closed and covered, there is also a uniform undivided roller shutter covering over the entire surface. Only along the connecting line 29 are several distributed over the width of the roller shutter on the underside Straps 26 attached, which, as described, establish the connection to the winding shaft 12 and whose length corresponds at least to the distance between the winding shaft 12 and the water surface 30 of the swimming pool.

The arrangement of the box 11 and the winding device with the winding shaft 12 is not limited to the position shown in the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2, but can be varied within the range between the two side walls 2 and 3. The arrangement in the middle between the two end walls 4 and 5 would result in a symmetrical design of the two roller shutter parts.

It has already been explained above that the hollow plastic profiles are articulated to one another. Since a particularly great articulation is desired at the connection point 29, a special articulated axis or a special articulated profile can also be inserted at this point. In simpler cases, it is also sufficient if two hollow plastic profiles are connected to each other at the facing edges of the roller shutter parts by screws, rivets or gluing. The joint movements then take over the neighboring hollow plastic profiles.

In order to achieve the most cylindrical possible winding of the roller shutter parts on the winding shaft 12, it is also advantageous to connect the roller shutter parts to one another in such a way that at least one roller shutter part is extended via the connecting line 29 after the winding shaft and the edge of this extension part for attaching the tapes 26 and thus serves for connection to the winding shaft 12. The length of the extension part advantageously corresponds to approximately half the circumference of the winding shaft.

In special cases, where there is as much mobility as possible of the roller shutter parts on the swimming pool surface arrives, the roller shutter parts can also be individually connected to the common winding shaft using separate belts.

Figure 3 shows e.g. a rectangular swimming pool 34 with semicircular staircases 35 and 36 adjoining the ends. The arrangement according to the invention now allows the entire pool and the roller shutter cover to be divided into two parts or sections. If the winding shaft 12 is arranged in this embodiment approximately at the location of the dash-dotted line, the two roller shutter parts can be moved apart in the direction of the two arrows 31 and 32, so that the entire surface of the swimming pool can be covered with a corresponding shape of the two roller shutter parts.

Figure 4 shows another complicated U-shaped swimming pool. The arrangement of the winding shaft 12 according to the invention, corresponding to the dash-dotted line, results in three basin parts 38, 39 and 40, a bulge 41 also being associated with the latter. In this case, it is advisable to wind up three roller shutter parts on the winding shaft. The three roller shutter parts then swim inwards and outwards in the direction of arrows 42, 43 and 44.

Bei dem nierenförmigen Becken 48 nach Figur 6 empfiehlt sich die Anordnung der Wickelwelle 12 wie dargestellt, und das Bewegen der Rolladenteile in Richtung der Pfeile 49 und 50.Figure 5 shows an irregular oval pool 45, which can be divided by the arrangement of the winding shaft according to the dash-dotted line 12, so that the two roller shutter parts can be shaped according to the two pool parts and moved in the direction of arrows 46 and 47. In the case of the kidney-shaped basin 48 according to FIG. 6, the arrangement of the winding shaft 12 is recommended as shown, and moving the shutter parts in the direction of arrows 49 and 50.

Here, the arrangement of the winding shaft 12 is recommended, as shown with a dash-dotted line, so that the two roller shutter parts can float in the direction of arrows 55 and 56. In the rounded U-shaped swimming pool 57 according to FIG. 8, the winding shaft 12 can be arranged according to the dash-dotted line, so that two roller shutter parts can swim out in the direction of arrows 58 and 59 on the one hand and 60 on the other hand.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 described above, the entire winding device with the winding shaft is located below the pelvic floor. This version is particularly recommended for large public swimming pools, if these are planned and created again with box 11.

Roller shutter covers generally consist, as in the exemplary embodiment explained above, exclusively of floatable hollow plastic profiles which are connected to one another at their longitudinal edges in an articulated or pivotable manner. For reasons of cost savings and especially for smaller swimming pools, the hollow plastic profiles can also be combined with floating plastic films, i.e. one can combine sections of a hollow plastic profile or several interconnected hollow plastic profiles with interposed plastic film surfaces. The plastic film parts are then connected at their edges to the adjacent hollow plastic profiles. In addition to the cost savings, such roller shutter covers have the further advantage that the roller shutter cover, when wound on the winding shaft, has a much smaller diameter of the winding. The weight of the roller shutter cover can also be reduced overall, and in connection with this the diameter of the winding shaft can then be kept small.

It has already been explained above that the plastic hollow profiles and possibly also the plastic film parts are floatable. In the case of plastic hollow profiles, this can be achieved in that the ends of the hollow chambers are sealed watertight by using end pieces and seals. With the roller shutter cover according to the invention, it is particularly advantageous in this connection that the ends of the hollow plastic profiles and, if necessary, the plastic film parts are bevelled accordingly. This avoids steps between the ends of the hollow plastic profiles and the other cover parts. The result is a good appearance and complete coverage of the water surface, even along the entire edge of the pool.
