In weiterer Ausgestaltung der Erfindung wird vorgesehen, daß die Fahrwerke mit Mitteln zum Erkennen des Überfahrens jeweils einer definierten Stelle der Kranbahn ausgerüstet sind, die ein Startsignal und ein Abfragesignal an einen Zähler abgeben, der den abgefragten Wert in die Steuerung eingibt, wobei das Signal des als erstes die definierte Stelle erreichenden Fahrwerkes das Startsignal und das Signal des nachfolgenden Fahrwerkes das Abfragesignal ist, und wobei der Zähler, der an Drehzahlaufnehmer der Fahrmotoren angeschlossen ist, die Umdrehungen des Fahrmotors des nachfolgenden Fahrwerkes zählt. Auf diese Weise wird eine einfache und genaue Erfassung von eventuell auftretenden Abweichungen zwischen den Fahrwerken der beiden Stirnseiten der Kranbrücke geschaffen. Dabei ist es zweckmäßig, wenn die definierten Stellen der beiden Seiten der Kranbahn in Fahrtrichtung in einem Abstand liegen. Durch diese Maßnahme wird erreicht, daß abhängig von der Fahrtrichtung jeweils das eine Fahrwerk das Startsignal und das andere Fahrwerk das Abfragesignal für den Zähler gibt. Auf einer Kranbahn (15) ist eine Kranbrücke (14) verfahrbar, die im wesentlichen aus zwei parallelen Trägern besteht, die an ihren stirnseitigen Enden mit Fahrwerken (16, 17) versehen sind, die jeweils einen Fahrmotor (18) enthalten. Auf der Kranbrücke (14) ist eine Laufkatze (13) verfahrbar, die ebenfalls einen Antrieb enthält, der allerdings nicht dargestellt ist. Die Kranbrücke (14) einer derartigen Transportvorrichtung kann eine relativ große Spannweite aufweisen, da sie wenigstens etwa der Länge wenigstens einer Kämmaschine entsprechen muß. Diese Kämmmaschinen werden dann in einer Reihe hintereinander im Bereich unter der Kranbahn (15) aufgestellt, so daß sich die Arbeitsstellen in einer Reihe parallel zur Kranbrücke (14) erstrecken. Andererseits soll die Kranbrücke (14) möglichst leicht gebaut werden, um rasch beweglich und leicht steuerbar zu sein. Um zu erreichen, daß durch die Fahrwerke (16, 17) keine Verwindungen in die Kranbrücke (14) eingeleitet werden, sollen die beiden Fahrwerke (16, 17) möglichst synchron laufen. Die Fahrwerke (16, 17) haben nicht dargestellte Laufräder mit einem einen relativ hohen Reibwert aufweisenden Belag, beispielsweise einem Gummibelag. Trotzdem kann es vorkommen, daß insbesondere bei ganz am Ende der Kranbrücke (14) befindlicher Laufkatze (13) die Fahrwerke nicht völlig gleich laufen. Es wird deshalb vorgesehen, daß die Transporteinrichtung so ausgebildet ist, daß sie selbsttätig eventuell auftretende Abweichungen in dem Synchronlauf der beiden Fahrwerke (16, 17) der Kranbrücke (14) ausgleicht. An den beiden Fahrwerken (16, 17) sind Detektoren (20, 22) angebracht, beispielsweise Lichtsonden. Diesen Detektoren (20, 22) sind fest an der Kranbahn (15) angeordnete detektierbare Elemente (21,23) zugeordnet, beispielsweise Reflektoren. An den gleichen Zähler (24) sind auch die Detektoren (20, 22) angeschlossen, wobei das zuerst ankommende Signal der Detektoren (20, 22) den Zähler (24) startet und das nachfolgende Signal des Zähler (24) abfragt. Um definierte Verhältnisse zu haben, sind die detektierbaren Elemente (21, 23) in Fahrtrichtung der Kranbrücke (14) versetzt an der Kranbahn (15) angeordnet. Wenn das Ausgleichen zwischen den Fahrwerken 16, 17) nur in einer Fahrtrichtung vorgenommen wird, so erreicht immer einer der Detektoren, bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel der Detektor (22), zuerst das ihm zugeordnete detektierbare Element (23). Dieser Detektor (22) gibt dann immer das Startsignal für den Zähler (24). Der Zähler (24) zählt dann die Impulse, die ihm von dem Drehzahlaufnehmer (25, 26) des nachfolgenden Fahrwerkes zugeführt werden, bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel des Fahrwerkes (17). Der Detektor (20), sobald er sein zugehöriges detektierbares Element (21) erreicht, gibt dann das Abfragesignal für den Zähler (24). Der gezählt Wert der Umdrehungen des Fahrmotors (18) des Fahrwerkes (17) wird in einer Steuerung (19) mit einem vorgegebenen Wert verglichen, der dem Synchronlauf der beiden Fahrwerke (16, 17) entspricht. Wird bei diesem Vergleich eine Abweichung festgestellt, die eine vorgegebene Grenze überschreitet, so nimmt die Steuerung (19) eine Korrektur in der Weise vor, daß nach einem Stillsetzen der Kranbrücke (14) der Fahrmotor (18) des betreffenden Fahrwerks (16, 17) nachläuft. Dabei werden von den Drehzahlaufnehmern (25, 26) die während des Nachlaufens auftretenden Impulse aufgenommen und von dem Zähler (24) gezählt. Der Zähler (24) meldet der Steuerung (19) zurück, wenn die synchrone Position der Fahrwerke (16, 17) wieder hergestellt ist, so daß dann auch der bis dahin nachlaufende Fahrmotor (18) abgeschaltet wird.
