Abstract

The heaped material bulk storage handling transporter has two or more wheel pairs or wheel pair sets on rails. The travelling system support is connected by a bridge or portal frame. This machine is used for storing or removing of granular material in a heap. The transporter travels on rails in stable manner even though the rails may not be accurately placed and if slipping takes place. On each travelling rail for a nondriven wheel are arranged detection points which move past a stationary pulse transmitter. The latter is connected to a pulse counter. The two independent pulse counters are connected to the two drives so that the moving detection point will move past the pulse transmitters at least at regular time intervals.
