Closure device for a container, in particular a canister, with a pouring nozzle (12) able to be attached to the container and a lid (20) able to be fitted hermetically thereon, provided with an annular gasket (34), which lid in turn pivotally supports a clamp (44), which has a clamping edge (50) extending in the form of a spiral with respect to the clamp hinge pin, which clamping edge (50) cooperates with a clamping wall (52) carried by the pouring nozzle, characterised in that radially outside and/or inside the gasket (34), the lid (20) supports spacer means (54), whereof the height is such that the clamping edge (50) can no longer be moved over the clamping wall (52) integral with the housing, if the axis of the lid is not aligned correctly with the axis of the pouring nozzle (12).
  2. Closure device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the spacer means (54) are formed by a section of increased height of a peripheral wall (32) of the dish-shaped lid (20).
  3. Closure device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the spacer means are formed by a section of increased height of a peripheral wall (30) of a dish-shaped holding part (28) for the gasket (34).
  4. Closure device according to Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that the sections (54) of increased height of the peripheral wall (32) of the lid (20) or of the gasket-holding part (28) pass continuously into the remaining part of this peripheral wall.
  5. Closure device according to one of Claims 1 to 4, in which the lid (20) is mounted on the pouring nozzle (12) so that it can be tilted about a second axis parallel to the clamp hinge pin and can be shifted in a direction perpendicular to the last-mentioned axis, characterised in that the radially outer spacer means (54) are provided on the section of the lid (20) located opposite the lid swivel pin (18) and/or the radially inner spacer means are provided on the section of the lid (20) adjacent the lid swivel pin (18).
