Description

The invention relates to a method for cleaning curtain slats, curtains or the like, which are used in particular for window decoration, and a device for performing this method.

Slats, curtains, curtains or the like used for window decoration get dirty over time and therefore have to be cleaned at certain time intervals. This proves to be labor-intensive and time-consuming, in particular in the case of curtain slats, in that, for the purpose of cleaning, the soiled slats have to be dismantled, cleaned piece by piece by washing and brushing and then reassembled.

In addition to the considerable effort and time involved, it has been shown that after cleaning, there are length deviations between the slats of a slat curtain can occur, which naturally affects the intended decorative character of such a curtain. In this respect, soiled slats are simply exchanged for new slats, but this is extremely expensive.

Accordingly, the invention is intended to provide a method and a device by means of whose curtain slats, curtains or the like can be cleaned quickly and easily and under the same physical conditions for the entire good.

From a procedural point of view, this object is achieved in that, in a first step, the material to be cleaned is pushed together to form a block in the installed position on a running rail, which then in a second step detergent medium and then in a third step rinsing liquid in each case from above in the circuit are passed over the pushed-together items to be cleaned and that the items to be cleaned are finally dried in a fourth step.

According to the invention, the curtain slats, curtains or the like to be cleaned do not need to be removed and then hung up again for the purpose of cleaning, but rather remain in their intended hanging position. It can be seen that this has created an inexpensive and quickly feasible cleaning process which, moreover, subjects all parts of the items to be cleaned to the same physical cleaning conditions.

The items to be cleaned can be dried either in the pushed-together state, that is to say in a block in which rinsing liquid liquid still contained in the items to be cleaned drips under gravity, or else freely suspended. It has proven to be expedient if the items to be cleaned are clamped between terminal strips and are thereby kept in shape.

In terms of device technology, the object of the invention is achieved by a washing device 1, which can be hung in a guide rail that guides the material to be cleaned and whose main components consist of a stop, a nozzle assembly, a jacket that extends downward from the latter and, in the application case, encloses a tubular jacket and a collecting trough consist.

The stop and the nozzle assembly can expediently be enclosed by a frame which, in turn, carries the jacket enclosing the items to be cleaned in the form of a hose in the application case.

Furthermore, the stop and nozzle assembly can have clamping elements which enable the cleaning items suspended on a running rail to be locked in the pushed-together state.

The distance between the nozzle assembly and the collecting trough is expediently adjustable in order to be able to adapt to different lengths of the items to be cleaned. The drip pan in the the sheath enclosing the material to be cleaned should protrude into it, can advantageously be connected to the frame enclosing the nozzle assembly and the stop via adjustable suspension means.

Another further development of the device is characterized in that an auxiliary vessel is arranged between the collecting trough and a pump for the optional conveying of washing-active medium or the rinsing liquid at the lowest point of the circuit, which has a larger capacity than the storage containers and can optionally be switched to one storage container each , so that the entire supply of washing-active medium on the one hand and rinsing liquid on the other hand can be accommodated in the auxiliary vessel.

A suitable piping scheme, assigned valves and a pump ensure that washing-active medium and then rinsing liquid (water) can be pumped in succession from above over the items to be cleaned.

When the device is used as intended, the auxiliary vessel stands on the floor and the associated storage containers are arranged so high that their contents can always drain into the auxiliary vessel when the valve is in the appropriate position. For the purpose of emptying the auxiliary vessel, however, it can be raised to a level above the storage container.

All auxiliary units, such as the storage containers, piping and valves, are expediently a pump, a heater and the auxiliary vessel are arranged on a trolley, thus providing an easy-to-use mobile device for the above-mentioned purpose.

When used as intended, the pump sucks the wash-active medium previously supplied from the corresponding storage container from the auxiliary vessel then standing on the floor and pumps it in circulation over the items to be cleaned. Additional heating can be provided in the circuit. After the cleaning process, rinsing liquid is circulated over the material to be cleaned in the same way.

In schematischen Ansichten zeigen:

An embodiment of the invention will be explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Schematic views show:
  • 1 is a sectional view of the washing device suspended in a running rail for curtain slats and the curtain slats pushed together to form a block,
  • 2 shows the washing device in a cross section corresponding to the section line AA in FIG. 1,
  • Fig. 3 is a schematic overall view of a carriage accommodating all auxiliary devices and the washing device when used as intended and
  • Fig. 4 shows the lower part of a slat block received between clamping elements and a drip tray arranged below this.

From Fig. 1 it can be seen that a stop 1.1 and a nozzle assembly 1.2 are releasably connected with the aid of clamping elements 1.3 designed as screws with lock nuts to a running rail 1.4 which hangs the curtain slats. In the drawing, the curtain slats are pushed together to form a slat block 1.5.

Dies zeigt Fig. 3.The stop 1.1 and the nozzle assembly 1.2 surround a frame 1.6, to which a downwardly extending jacket 1.7, which encloses the lamella block 1.5, is fastened. The nozzle assembly 1.2 can alternatively be supplied with wash-active medium or with rinsing liquid via a fluid supply line 1.8, which is only indicated. Under the lamella block 1.5 there is a collecting trough 2.7, into which the lower end of the jacket surrounding the lamella block 1.5 projects. This is shown in FIG. 3.

From Fig. 3 a carriage 2 can also be seen, which has a storage container 2.1 for washing-active medium and a further storage container 2.2 for rinsing liquid (water). The containers 2.1, 2.2 are connected via pipes 2.3 and valves 2.4 to an auxiliary vessel 2.8 placed on the floor. The auxiliary vessel 2.8 can optionally be filled with wash-active medium from the reservoir 2.1 or with rinsing liquid from the reservoir 2.2. A suction line projects into the auxiliary vessel 2.8 and is in flow connection with a pump 2.5, from which line 1.8 to the nozzle assembly 1.2 stretches. The line is led through a heater 2.6.

When used as intended, the washing device is first attached to the running rail 1.4 in the manner explained above. The nozzle assembly 1.2 then extends over the slats pushed together to form the lamella block 1.5 and the latter are enclosed by the jacket 1.7 hanging on the frame 1.6, which extends on the underside into the collecting trough 2.7, from which a discharge line opening into the auxiliary vessel 2.8 extends.

After these preparations, the auxiliary vessel 2.8 is filled with wash-active medium from the storage container 2.1 and then this medium is conveyed to the nozzle assembly 1.2 by means of the pump 2.5, in order then to run downwards from above over the fins combined in the finned block 1.5. The washing-active medium that collects in the collecting trough 2.7 then flows back to the auxiliary vessel 2.8 and is again guided, ie in a circuit, by means of the pump 2.5 over the fins. When the cleaning process has ended after a certain washing time, instead of the washing-active medium, rinsing liquid is filled from the storage container 2.2 into the auxiliary vessel 2.8 and then passed in the same way in a circuit over the lamellae of the lamella block 1.5.

Dies zeigt Fig. 4.After rinsing, the washing device 1 is removed. The lamella block 1.5 then hangs freely and drips in a drip pan 3.1 arranged under the latter. The drip tray is suspended in connecting chains of the slats, not shown. In the case of particularly shape-sensitive slat types, the slat block 1.5 can be accommodated between two lateral terminal strips 3.2 and dried. This is shown in FIG. 4.

The particular advantages of the cleaning process which can be carried out by means of the device explained above are that the set-up times are extremely short and all parts of the items to be cleaned are cleaned under the same physical conditions. With the described lamella cleaning, the set-up times are independent of the number and area of the lamellae and in view of the completely identical treatment of all lamellae of a lamella block, no length deviations of individual lamellae can occur.
