Description

The invention relates to a floor door closer for swing and / or swing doors made of glass, metal or the like. with an adapter to be screwed onto the underside of the door, the plug-in axis of which can be pulled out into a receiving opening in the floor door closer for closing the door.

In known floor door closers there is the disadvantage that there is a risk of stumbling and / or injury due to the projecting components. Adverse gap openings in the bottom area cannot be avoided when the door is pushed forward.

Furthermore, known devices of the aforementioned type offer no possibility of alternating the door on the one hand to be used as a swing or swing door and on the other hand as a sliding door with the floor door closer design unchanged.

The object of the invention is to provide a floor door closer of the type mentioned, which, while avoiding the above-mentioned disadvantages and easy handling, ensures that the thru axle itself is movably arranged on the door leaf and, on the other hand, retrofits a swinging or swinging door into a sliding door without being cumbersome and time-consuming assembly work.

This object is achieved in a floor door closer with an adapter according to the aforementioned type in that a swivel device which locks the stub axle in the door closed position is provided within a receiving space of an adapter housing.

Such a pivoting device preferably shows a pivotable connecting arm which is operatively connected to a roller holder, which locks the stub axle in the closed position with the floor door closer and a return spring can also be provided in an adapter housing, which the pivoting device in the form of a connecting arm for converting the roller holder into Retracts adapter housing.

A sliding door 10 can be slidably suspended in a running rail 12 having a running space 11. This running rail 12 is screwed by means of screws 13 to a profile carrier 15 embedded in a ceiling 14, wherein according to FIG. 1 the profile carrier 15 has the corresponding threaded bores 16 for the screws 13. A longitudinal slot opening 17 of the running rail 12 serves as a push-through opening for the screws 13.

The sliding door 10 can be moved by guide rollers 18 arranged in the running space 11. These guide rollers 18 are rotatably mounted with their axes vertically by means of a pin 19 in a receiving plate 20, four rollers 18 each being arranged square above and below the receiving plate 20 (not shown).

The upper four rollers 19 lie exactly over the lower four rollers 18, i.e. an upper and lower roller 18 is always on one axis.

The receiving plate 20 for the rollers 18 has a central, vertical through bore 21 for inserting a screw 22, the screw 22 being guided through a lower, longitudinal slot opening 23 of the running rail 12. At the lower end of the screw 22, a rail 26 acting as an adapter and held by two screws 22 is detachably arranged by means of a nut 24 and a counter nut 25.

The rail 26 acting as an adapter is provided in its lower region for releasably receiving a two-part, upper door rail 27, the door rail 27 being arranged around a screw, bolt 30 or the like which is arranged vertically in the rail 26. is rotatably arranged. By tightening screws 28 arranged horizontally in the door rail 27, the two parts of the two-part door rail 27 are connected to one another and clamp a glass pane 29 or glass plate acting as a door.

This special roller suspension described above is only for example. Any other roller design can also be provided here to hold the sliding door 10.

The vertical rotation or pivoting movement of the sheet (glass pane 29) is achieved, inter alia, by a locking device 31 which is detachably fastened on the one hand to the running rail 12 and on the other hand to the rail 26.

A lower door rail 32 forms the end of the sliding door 10 towards the floor. By tightening screws 33 arranged horizontally in the door rail 32, the two parts of the two-part lower door rail 32 are connected to one another. The glass pane 29 serving as the door leaf is also clamped in from below.

The glass pane 29 is connected to a door closer 35 embedded in the floor 34 by means of an adapter 37 which is detachably fastened in the rail 32 on the floor and hinge side by screws 36 and which is flush with the door side running parallel to the floor.

The housing 38 of the adapter 37 is divided into two on the longitudinal side and thus consists of two halves which are held together by screws 39. On the cross-sectional front side, a fastening tab 40 is attached to one of the two housing halves, for example welded, on the left and right, running parallel to the floor. The tab 40 has a bore 41 for pushing through the screws 36 for fastening the adapter 37.

In the screwed-together state, the two-part adapter housing 38 forms an inner receiving space 42 for a connecting arm 44 which is pivotable there about an axis 43 running parallel to the floor, for a covering arm 45 fastened to the hinge side by means of one of the screws 39 and a movable between the covering arm 45 and the connecting arm 44 , designed as hold-down for the connecting arm 44 roller holder 46.

The connecting arm 44 connects the sliding door 10 in the pivoting or pendulum position to the door closer 35 embedded in the floor. For this purpose, the connecting arm 44 has at its end facing away from the axis 43 a head 49 formed with a receiving opening 48 pointing downward. In this receiving opening 48, which tapers conically at the top, a connecting bolt 50, which also tapers conically, is inserted. A pin 51 in the form of a countersunk screw is loosely inserted through the bottom of the head 49 from above. On the other hand, the connecting pin 50 is inserted into a downwardly tapering receiving opening 52 of the door closer 35 by means of a likewise tapering pin 76, a coaxial collar 53 arranged in the center of the connecting pin 50 both on the end face of the head 49 and on the surface of the Door closer 35 is present.

The cover arm 45 is detachably arranged above the head 49 of the connecting arm 44. The surface of the cover arm 45 facing the receiving space 42 has its function as a rolling surface 54 for the roll holder 46 designed as a hold-down device for the connecting arm 44, the roll 55 of which is freely rotatable about an axis 56 running parallel to the floor. Below the axis 56 at a distance from it, running parallel to the floor, the roller holder 46 has a continuous recess 57 with a circular cross section, into which a bolt 58 of the same cross section is inserted.

The bolt 58 can be secured with a grub screw 59 against unwanted pulling out and is provided with an elongated handle 60 for better handling.

The two housing halves of the adapter 37 have two aligned elongated holes 61, which the Penetrate the housing halves from their surface, so it is possible to push the bolt 58 through an elongated hole 61 and the circular recess 57 so that the end face 67 of the bolt 58 is flush with the surface of the other housing half. The elongated hole 61 thus serves as a positive guide for the bolt 58 when it is to use the handle 60 to bring the roller holder 46 from, for example, an approximately vertical position to an approximately horizontal position, or vice versa. The sequence of movements of the roller holder 46 in the receiving space 42 is hereby precisely specified.

If the roller holder 46 is brought from its approximately vertical position into the horizontal position, a return spring 62 articulated between the cover arm 45 and the connecting arm 44 completely pulls the connecting arm 44 back into the receiving space 42. In its end position, the roll holder 46 lies approximately at half its length in a receiving pocket 63 formed integrally with the connecting arm 44 above the head 49.

The adapter 37 can be operated from one end as well as from the other. For this purpose, the roller holder 46 is moved into the horizontal position by means of the bolt 58 and handle 60 forming a lever 64 (see FIG. 3), so that the grub screw 59 with the aid of an Allen key 66 through a viewing hole 65 in the upper longitudinal end face of the adapter 37 or the like can be solved. The lever 64 is pulled out of the circular-section-shaped recess 57 and inserted again from the opposite side. Here, the end face 62 of the bolt 58 is flush with the surface of the corresponding housing half of the adapter 37. The grub screw 59 is tightened again with the Allen key 66 through the viewing hole 65. Thus, the adapter 37 can also be operated from the opposite side.

The adapter according to the invention enables the same door to be used both as a sliding door and as a swinging or swinging door, without cumbersome and time-consuming assembly and conversion work. The switch from pendulums to pushers is as follows:
On the lock side, the door leaf is connected to the sliding construction in the upper corner by means of a hook latch (not shown).

The door leaf is released from the door closer 35 by moving the lever 64 from the lower to the upper end point. Both end points are predetermined by the positive guidance of the bolt 58 in the elongated hole 61 in the side opposite the insertion side. The roller 55 of the roller holder 46 moves over the rolling surface 54 toward the hinge side of the door. At the beginning of this movement, the lower end of the roller holder 46 acts on the pin 51 such that it presses the connecting bolt 50 downward into the receiving opening 52 of the door closer 47. Pulling out of the connecting bolt 50 out of the receiving opening 52 is thus avoided, since this movement counteracts the efforts of the return spring 62 to pull the connecting arm 44 back into the receiving space 42. Analogous to the further movement of the roller 55 towards the hinge side of the door, the return spring 62 pulls the connecting arm 44 ever further upward: the head 49 rises from the connecting bolt 50 and leaves the receiving space 68 in the floor in one 34 for the door closer 35 covering cover plate 69, the receiving space 68 and is finally drawn into the receiving space 42 to the extent that it completely receives the connecting arm 44. The roll holder 46 has now assumed an approximately horizontal position with respect to the floor 34. The connection door leaf door closer 35 is released.

The lower part 70 of the locking device 31 is released from the rail 26 and the function of swinging the door has been converted into one of sliding.

Switching from pushing to commuting takes place in the reverse order of the three steps described above.

In a further embodiment of the adapter according to FIG. 5, a connecting arm 71 has at its end facing away from the axis 43 one with e.g. two head 73 provided with a circular cylindrical connecting pin 72 in cross section. The axis of the two connecting pins 72, which can be designed to be cylindrical as well as tapering, is perpendicular to the parallel end face of the head 73 that faces the floor 34 in the pivoted position.

The connecting pins 72 engage in bores 74 of a connecting bolt 75, which connects the sliding door 10 to the door closer 35. Here, the cover plate 69 has a passage opening 77 for the connecting bolt 75; the upper end face of the connecting bolt 75 and the surface of the cover plate 69 are at one level.

The connecting pin 75 engages with its area, which is designed as a tapered pin 76 and faces the floor 34, into the receiving opening 52 of the door closer 35.

Both versions have the advantage that when the sliding door 10 is in the sliding position - i.e. the connecting arm 44 or 71 is completely drawn into the receiving space 42 of the adapter by the return spring 62 - in the region of the cover plate 69 covering the receiving space 68 for the door closer 35, there are no components projecting beyond the surface of the cover plate 69, since the surface of the Cover plate 69 and the upper end face of the connecting bolt 50 and 75 are at one level. A stumbling and thus risk of injury is or the like for people passing through this area. avoided.

For this purpose, the return spring 62 is articulated on two holding webs 62a, 62b located opposite one another at a certain distance on the one hand on the cover plate 69 and on the other hand on the connecting arm 44.

So ergibt sich bei eingezogenem Verbindungsarm 71 ein sehr kleiner, den Verbindungsbolzen 71 umgebender Spalt, der beim Ausführungsbeispiel in Fig.4 um die Wandstärke des Kopfes 49 größer ist.5 also has the advantage that, when the sliding door 10 is pivoted, the head 73 does not surround the connecting bolt 75 and thus the passage opening 77 of the cover plate 69 only surrounds the connecting bolt 75 when the door is in the sliding position. Thus, when the connecting arm 71 is drawn in, there is a very small gap surrounding the connecting bolt 71, which is larger in the exemplary embodiment in FIG. 4 by the wall thickness of the head 49.

According to the exemplary embodiments, larger recesses in the area of the cover plate 69 and thus a further risk of stumbling and injury for the people passing through this area or the like. avoided.
