Definitions
- the invention relates to a noise barrier according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Noise protection walls are preferably erected on the edge of busy streets to protect neighboring residential areas from traffic noise. Constructions that have a profiled surface are particularly widespread, so that when the sound is reflected, it breaks in different directions and is gradually absorbed by the multiple reflection. There are also soundproof walls with a perforated surface and a sound-absorbing inner mat. The known designs are in a green or gray color tone and offer a monotonous appearance. They also get dirty quickly due to splashing water from the vehicles.
- a further disadvantage is that the reduced air exchange on the street with the environment creates an increase in pollutants and heat build-up.
- noise barrier has been developed that can be planted.
- This noise barrier offers an aesthetically pleasing sight and cleans itself during the growing season.
- the plants absorb sound very effectively, and the microclimate favored by the plants supports the removal of pollutants and heat absorption.
- this noise barrier is relatively expensive, so that its distribution has so far been limited. It also requires a relatively high level of maintenance when caring for and replacing the plants.
- the invention has for its object to provide a noise barrier, which has the properties Favorable sound absorption, good appearance, a self-cleaning effect, favorable climatic influence as well as cost-effective production, easy assembly and simple maintenance.
- the noise protection wall 10 shown in FIG. 1 carries the structure with a framework made of two wide flange beams 20 which are embedded in foundations 28 in the ground 26.
- the wide flange supports 20 are designed as double-T profiles and thus form U-shaped holding grooves 22 into which cassettes 14 can be inserted from above.
- the distance between the wide flange supports is approximately 3.60 m and the height of the cassettes 14 is approximately 60 cm.
- a drip irrigation system 24 which supplies the noise barrier 10 with water via its upper cassette 14.
- the supplied water is partly supplied to the plants growing on the surface of the cassettes 14 and the excess part reaches the cassette 14 underneath, which in turn releases the excess part to the cassettes 14 below.
- the remaining part is finally taken up by the lower cassette 14 and fed to the plants growing there.
- washing mats 30 are provided, which serve as a barrier and first store the excess water and then slowly release it.
- a moisture sensor 44 arranged in a blind field 42 serves to regulate the water requirement depending on the vegetation as well as the ambient temperature and air humidity. This controls an automatic system influencing the water supply for the droplet irrigation 24. It is not necessary to place moisture sensors 44 in each of the lower cassettes 14. Rather, it is sufficient to do this at a distance of several 10 or 100 m.
- Fig. 2 shows a plan view of a section of the cassette 14.
- a wire mesh 16 can be seen, which serves as a support and protective frame. It is possible to completely design the supporting and protective frame as a wire mesh or to carry out the horizontal end sides through a perforated plate.
- Hygroscopic rock wool 12 in the form of rock wool mats is located behind the wire mesh. These rock wool mats form a nutrient medium for the plants with which the cassettes are covered.
- the rock wool contains fertilizer, nutrients and also serves as transport for the externally supplied water.
- the rock wool also provides support for the roots of the plants.
- the rock wool also provides sound insulation.
- a washing mat 30 is arranged only on a horizontal edge zone. This is the simplest embodiment, which causes the water supplied via the droplet irrigation 24 to be retained in the cassettes 14.
- the property of the rock wool mats 12 is used to maintain the moisture distribution at least over a height difference of about 60 cm.
- watering mats 30 and 32 are provided on both horizontal edge zones.
- the two watering mats can be made about half as thick as in the version in Fig. 3.
- the advantage of this embodiment is that no special attention to the correct position of the watering mats needs to be given during assembly.
- a vertical irrigation mat 31 is additionally arranged on the vertical side opposite the side covered with plants 18.
- a uniform water release to the rock wool 12 can take place, which on the one hand avoids the risk of under and over-watering of the plants and on the other hand also creates a uniform aesthetic impression in the vegetation and also achieves uniform sound absorption.
- a wall plate 34 which forms a protection against evaporation of the stored water and a mechanical protection.
- a watering mat 33 is provided, which is arranged in the interior of the rock wool 12 and runs in a meandering manner. This configuration protects the rock wool from sagging at the same time, since it acts like a reinforcement. Furthermore, a particularly uniform irrigation of all areas of the rock wool mats 12 takes place here. This solution in particular also allows plants 18 to be provided on the front and back of the cassette 14.
- Fig. 7 shows a cross section through a cassette 14 as an enlarged detail.
- the arrangement of the wire mesh 16 is shown here, which carries the relatively soft and flexible mats made of rock wool 12 and the watering mats and protects them against external influences such as e.g. Protect storm or mechanical influences.
- the wire mesh 16 is dimensioned so that there is sufficient space for the plants 18 so that they can spread in their growth.
- Fig. 8 In the perspective view shown in Fig. 8 can be seen, as in the wide flange beams 20 are formed by the double-T support design U-shaped holding grooves 22 on both sides. These form a holder and a guide when inserting the cassettes 14. Above the upper cassette 14, the drip irrigation 24 can be seen.
- the watering mat 30 has a central carrier layer 36 made of mechanically consolidated polyester needle fleece. It has water-storing and water-releasing properties.
- the carrier layer 36 is approximately 4 mm thick and has a density of approximately 500 g / m 2.
- a poly-propylene (PP) support in the form of ribs 38 is needled on the underside of the carrier layer 36, while a continuous support 40 is arranged on the top.
- the density of the washing mat formed from the carrier layer 36 and the PP pad 38, 40 is approximately 800 to 1000 g / m2.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a noise barrier according to the preamble of claim 1.
Noise protection walls are preferably erected on the edge of busy streets to protect neighboring residential areas from traffic noise.
A further disadvantage is that the reduced air exchange on the street with the environment creates an increase in pollutants and heat build-up.
To eliminate these disadvantages, a noise barrier has been developed that can be planted. This noise barrier offers an aesthetically pleasing sight and cleans itself during the growing season. In addition, the plants absorb sound very effectively, and the microclimate favored by the plants supports the removal of pollutants and heat absorption. However, this noise barrier is relatively expensive, so that its distribution has so far been limited. It also requires a relatively high level of maintenance when caring for and replacing the plants.
The invention has for its object to provide a noise barrier, which has the properties Favorable sound absorption, good appearance, a self-cleaning effect, favorable climatic influence as well as cost-effective production, easy assembly and simple maintenance.
This object is achieved in a noise barrier according to the preamble of claim 1 by the features specified in the characterizing part.
Manufacturing, assembly and maintenance are made easier by designing the wall parts as cassettes. These are prefabricated and are brought to the construction site as complete units and installed there. The sound-absorbing effect as well as the aesthetic effect and the climatic influence is achieved by the vegetation. By mounting the cassettes on top of each other there is a problem of watering the plants, which is done by drip irrigation. In order to avoid an uneven water distribution, watering mats are provided, which provide a barrier to the water seeping from the top downwards and thus provide both the cassettes on the top and the cassettes on the bottom with an even growth for the plants Add a balanced amount of water.
Further developments and advantageous refinements result from the claims, the description and the drawing, which illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the invention.

The
Above the
In order to obtain a uniform distribution of the water sinking downwards, washing
Fig. 2 shows a plan view of a section of the
In the cross sections through the
In the version shown in FIG. 3, a
In the embodiment in FIG. 4, watering
In the configuration in FIG. 5, a
On the back of the
Finally, in the version shown in FIG. 6, a watering
Fig. 7 shows a cross section through a
In the perspective view shown in Fig. 8 can be seen, as in the wide flange beams 20 are formed by the double-T support design
Das Raumgewicht der aus der Trägerschicht 36 und der PP-Auflage 38, 40 gebildeten Wässerungsmatte beträgt etwa 800 bis 1000 g/m².Finally, a washing mat is shown in cross-section in FIG. 9, which may be one of the
