Description

A device of this kind is known from CH-A-505 262. The drain pipe is inserted from below into a socket that is screwed to the bottom of the box. A union nut, which covers on the side, is screwed onto the connector and between the connector and the connector a pinch seal is placed on the drain pipe.

Other parts of this device are a sealing ring between the cistern floor and connecting piece and in practice a slip ring which is in contact with the pinch seal. The disadvantage of this device is that it consists of a comparatively large number of individual parts and that assembly and production are complex. Automatic assembly of this device is practically impossible. Since the union nut must be rotationally symmetrical on the outside, the aesthetic design of the connection is limited.

The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a device of the type mentioned at the outset, which has fewer individual parts and enables automatic assembly and which, moreover, less restrict the shape of the regions visible from the outside.

The object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1. To connect the drain pipe, only a sealing body has to be inserted into the socket and the drain pipe inserted. Screw-on parts are not required. Since the rosette is firmly attached to the cistern floor, its shape is largely free. Sealing problems between the cistern floor and the nozzle can no longer occur. The sealing body inserted into the connection piece can be an annular seal with a circular cord cross section or one with two annular lips resting on the drain pipe.

A particularly tight connection between the nozzle and the drain pipe results from the development according to claim 2. The development according to claim 3 creates an extraordinarily compact and stable unit of connection and rosette, which can be produced in a simple manner by injection molding.

An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 shows a longitudinal section through the device according to the invention along the line I-1 in Figure 2 and
  • 2 shows a view of the device according to the invention, seen from above when the cistern is installed.

On the bottom 2 of a cistern largely made of plastic, a rosette 4 is formed, which has, for example, a square cross section. At the lower end of the rosette 4 a cross-sectionally shaped nozzle 6 is formed, which extends concentrically to the rosette 4 from the attachment point upwards to a little beyond the bottom 2. The upper end 14 of the nozzle 6 forms a Venilsitz, which cooperates with the rubber-elastic valve plate 17 of a drain valve with a float tank 1 and a housing 20 in a known manner.

A drain pipe 19, which connects the cistern with the toilet bowl arranged beneath it, is pushed into the nozzle 6 up to a stop 13. The inner surface of the nozzle 6 has an upper, cylindrical region 12, which corresponds to the outer surface of the drain pipe 19. The area 12 merges into an area 11 with a larger diameter, as can be seen in FIG. An annular groove 8 is incorporated into the inner wall of area 11, into which a rubber-elastic ring seal 5 is inserted. This can have the circular cord cross-section shown or has two V-shaped ring lips which abut the drain pipe 19. Such lip seals are generally known. These have the effect here that the drain pipe 19 is pushed into the connection piece 6 with little effort, but then can no longer be pulled out by hand, which may be desirable in a lavatory system.

A radially protruding collar 21 is formed on the housing 20 of the drain valve, on the underside of which, for example, four locking cams 16 arranged at a distance from one another are formed, which cooperate with corresponding locking cams 15 which are molded onto the starting point of the rosette 4. The collar 21 simultaneously fixes an insert 3 that insulates against condensation in the area of the drain opening.

From the above information, there is thus a device for connecting a drain pipe to a cistern, which can largely be produced in the manufacture of the cistern body using the injection molding process and which not only takes account of the assembly requirements in an outstanding manner, but is also cost-effective due to its simple and robust design is cheap and extremely reliable in operation.
